I will always be a loyal fan of Later, Later. There is something nostalgic about this bar for me and my hometown, that I can't get enough of this spot. This is the OG spot for me for my Topo Chico cocktails (way before I saw the trend throughout the states) and dance vibes ambiance. Later, Later embodies the spirit of El Paso in the sense that it's family and you'll always run into someone from your childhood past. Everyone is just living life and looking to have a good time. It's a bit of a smaller bar hence the lines, but so is any bar that has a popular stamp on them. Everytime I come to Later, Later it never fails on me. Extremely disappointed with this business! Me and my friend opened a tab and after 6 drinks we went home with $150 charge. Came in today and confronted the manager and asked for an itemized receipt that displayed 15 TITO drinks and a few other things we knew we didn't order. How could we possibly drink that many drinks? All your so called "manager" said is "there is nothing I can do for you". I came from Arizona in hopes of finding a new favorite bar and I promise you I will never be back nor to any of your other places. I've never had this experience in AZ and I will be talking about this negative experience back home. I heard about Later, Later through the grapevine and during my most recent visit to El Paso, I decided to check it out with some friends. I had no clue what to expect, so walking in I was immediately taken aback. What used to be a small house had been gutted and transformed into a really nice bar, with exposed brick walls and wooden ceilings. The hanging candles were a classy touch. But it felt familiar and within 5 minutes of sitting inside, I realized that I had been transported to a bar on Rainey Street, Austin's hipster 6th Street area. A bunch of old houses, transformed into high end cocktail bars. I went up to the bar to place my order. Two standard drinks of rum and coke, a cape cod, and a cocktail from their menu called Passing Me By. The bartender was really friendly, but you could tell he was inexperienced behind the bar. He had to ask me three times to repeat my order as he made each drink individually. When it came to him making the signature cocktail, he looked lost. He was obviously looking at a recipe for the drink while working on it. It took several minutes, which resulted in my drink becoming watered down. I was equally perplexed by the color of my drink, since none of the ingredients should have been a hot pink. The drink tasted fine, but was overpowered by the jalapeno and I was missing the ginger beer flavor. The $9 price tag for one of their signature cocktails was on par with Austin & San Antonio, but the quality was not. It was a Sunday night, so the ambiance was laid back, but I can imagine when it's packed it wouldn't be a place I'd want to hang out. Even half full, it was loud and hard to carry a conversation inside, even though the tables and couches invite you to do just that. Unfortunately, Later, Later did not live up to the hype, and I definitely hope it is just growing pains. I'll have to come back to Later, Later later and see how they've developed. TL;DR: Austin style bar in El Paso. beautiful decor, not so beautiful atmosphere. Classy cocktails, if the bartender can manage to make it without looking at the recipe every 10 seconds. read more

This is my first time in El Paso and my sister wanted to take me out for drinks and so she took me to Later Later. I actually liked the place. The atmosphere was cool, the drinks we reasonably priced, the music was banging, but there were 3 things I didn't like and that's why they get 3 instead of 5 stars from me. First, one of the bartenders claimed to know how to make a sweet pomegranate martini. She did not, and I'm from NYC so you know I've had plenty of sweet pomegranate martinis. She could've just told me that she didn't know how to make it. I would've preferred that. Second, it was as cold as Viking hell up in there. I had to keep my winter coat on the entire time cause I was freezing so much. Even the bartenders were fully dressed with sweatshirts, hats and all. Third, and main reason, is while I was waiting for someone to take my next drink order I saw one of the bartenders sneeze in his hand, his bare hand, and not wash his hand or anything, then grab a glass and made a drink for someone. After this I didn't care how nice the place looked, how good the music was, or how reasonably priced drinks were, I was done and told my sister that we had to leave immediately. read more

Later Later initially started out as a very chill bar with low volume music, it has now become more of a bar you'd find on Rainy Street in Austin, TX. It's a remodeled historic house with industrial decor and dim lighting inside. Defiantly popping Saturday nights. I checked out Later, Later with a large group of friends last Saturday night. Gotta say I was impressed. This is another cool downtown venue. Located a street over from Blackbird, Later Later is a modified house. Its got candles (presumably electric although we drunkenly pondered it for a while) hanging from the ceiling with actual candles (or were they...) on the wall. The inside has a couple tables for people who want to sit but there was a decent amount of room to stand as well. The bartenders were prompt and quick with the drinks even as it got packed. I also really liked the outdoor patio options with the heat lamps. I didn't try any of the food but Later Later is a cool place. It reminds me of alot of Uptown Dallas or Austin-esque bars. read more

Later later is one of my favorite weekend hang out spots. The music is always good . The drinks are always on point and the staff is always full of friendly faces . You feel like you are at one of your friends house parties with all the cool kids . There kickback parties are always a good time . I love going to later later on the weekends with my friends . They also have one of the most amazing food trucks out side serving the best tacos in town . I always recommend later later to anyone that is visiting El Paso. They have it all going on . Not only was I incredibly overcharged for three beers and one house mezcal shot, there was a large tip added. Leanna A (the server listed on my receipt) delayed giving me back my card, saying "there's a problem with the machine, can we leave it open instead?" I declined because my friends and I had just stopped in for one last beer. About 10 minutes later I was given my card/receipt (my copy was ripped and I was told all sales are final, and I never received an itemized receipt) and saw a total of $64.95. I tried calling, emailing, nothing. No response. On top of that obscene price they added a tip, coming out to 72.95. I've worked at a lot of bars/restaurants, so I know a mistake from a scheme, and judging from other posts and the lack of the proprietor's response, it has lead me to believe this is a common hustle by Later, Later staff. Now that I am 28 years old, emphasis on the old part, I really enjoy going to a bar where I can converse with my friends and am actually able to hold a conversation without screaming into their ears. This bar is super cool. The exposed brick and lighting is so well done and the seating is great, especially if you are lucky enough to sit on the leather couches and chairs. It's never super busy, but attracts a decent and friendly crowd. The staff is always friendly and fast. They have some super weird drinks, and although none have become my all time favorites, they are interesting to try. They have a huge deck with some heaters but it was still too cold to sit outside. This place isn't near too much so that might upset some bar hoppers, but for a chill location to have a couple drinks with friends it's hard to beat. Will definitely return! read more

Later Later is a great addition to the El Paso bar scene. It reminds me of something one might find in Austin. A refreshing change from most of the places in town. Although some of the house special drinks are a bit off the wall, they have a fully stocked bar and a good beer selection. Bartenders are friendly and take/prepare orders quickly even when the place is packed. They have plenty of seating, including a nice lounge area inside and a huge wrap around patio. When they get busier some of the seating gets picked up, which is fine...makes people mingle and move away from the bar so others can order. All in all, Later Later is a quality bar, great for a Friday night out, happy hour or for some beers after catching a Chihuahua's game. read more

Had been eyeing this location since it started getting work done. Then when I found out it was going to be a bar I got really excited because they have a great view. Not sure when it opened exactly but it was extremely packed. It was also freezing cold outside but the heaters outside did the trick. The place is really nice and modern. It is definitely a darker setting even though the place has huge windows in the front. The menu is fairly simple and to the point. I was confused at first because they have a section for shots that have interesting names but the shots themselves are simple. I was really disappointed when I asked for 5 of their specialty shots (anything the bartender wanted to make) and I got Bulleit Burbon straight with a slice of watermelon on top. That was pretty much a slap to the face. They are called a Kangaroo Press which sounds really cool but lacks in creativity. The rest of the shots on the menu are the same. Couple of shots of tequila are served with a beer chaser and have an interesting name as well. I don't know about chasing my tequila with a lone star chaser. Very odd. They do have a basic variety of beers on draft. The bartenders were very attentive even though it was busy which is awesome. I spent most of my time there outside using the heaters and it was really no problem. I will definitely have to revisit this place during the week on its slower days and update my review. I would say this place needs some food to counter their shot menu. read more

Later, Later doesn't seem too bad. I went last night with a friend after work. It was a Thursday night, and they had a pretty decent amount of people hanging out there. I generally try to avoid very busy bars because I don't like feeling claustrophobic when I'm trying to enjoy a drink. We ended up sitting on the patio where we felt we had plenty of room to breathe. Their decor is kind of trendy/hipster, so it looked nice inside and on the patio. Their draft beers are $5. They have some signature cocktails which range from $7-$9, so I'd say the prices are fairly average. My friend got one of their cocktails and let me try it. It was pretty good! I also noticed they have tequila flights. The bartenders are attentive and nice. You don't get ignored at the bar when you're waiting to order. All in all, it was a nice experience. I personally will probably steer clear on weekend nights. They probably get pretty busy. But I'd be happy to go again on a night during the week. read more

Was awaiting the opening of this bar since I first heard it was going to be a bar back in October. I thought, hey blackbird down the street plus Chihuahuas Stadium down the road. Perfect for before and after baseball games, but unfortunately I was let down by not even being able to step inside after a lousy bouncer told a my friends and I (total of four, two ladies and two men) told us it was too packed and we had to wait until some people left to even out the "crowd". Well, being great sports we said, "no worries, we'll wait" and not even 10 seconds later he lets in a group of six people in (four guys and two ladies). After I saw that I decided to look inside and saw that they're weren't a lot of people and after much more research saw the lame excuse of a menu and saw that they're drinks are by far the lamest bunch of drinks I have ever seen for such an uptight bar. So, I guess that's it for me being there. Blackbird is a way better bar hands down. Can't wait for later late place to close down later. read more
