I decided to call a nearby salon (Rockstar) and see if I could walk down and come in for a haircut. I called and the gal that answered the phone was super friendly and said I could come on down right then! Score! It was beautiful weather and just a couple of blocks away! Amber was available to cut my hair and we set right to work. She was very good at shampooing and so pleasant and easy to talk to! She did a great job getting rid of my very dry ends and blending and shaping my hair. After blow drying she said she would shape it a bit more. I am very pleased with how my haircut and styling turned out! Great job, Amber!!

Everyone is always so kind and welcoming when I go in, and they will remember you the next time you come in, too. There is a Starbucks right there too if you need some extra self care before going in. I cannot recommend this salon enough to all my family and friends. I was referred here by a family member and am very particular with my hair, so I was nervous. I gave it a shot and have not gone anywhere else for years! I have sent many other friends in after me, all having good experiences. I am 30 and I will just not go anywhere else. Rachel and Rockstar salon = the BEST!!!

I have been coming here since I was 12 (So an entire decade, WOW)…read more Every single time I come here to see Julie, I am obsessed with my hair when I leave. In my high school/college years, I was always either getting my hair done not enough, or I was jumping from salon to salon because of convenience. Well within my experience, it is 100% important to NOT do that, and if it's not broken; don't fix it! I am now on a regular schedule of getting my hair done by Julie, and this will be the second time she has helped me fully process from a dark hair color, to blonde. Her placement of highlights is the best I have ever seen in my life, and she really cares about all of her clients. She doesn't push you to buy extra products, but instead she educates you on how to maintain healthy hair and color. I ended up getting the AVEDA Blue Mulva conditioner at the salon because I loved the way her own hair was perfectly blonde! One thing I have not yet tried, was their mani/pedi services. With the basically-brand new salon, the mani/pedi room is beautiful. I have heard they do an amazing job (and have affordable prices) but I still have not made time to schedule an appointment! But seriously, if you are looking for a salon in the Schaumburg/roselle/elk grove area, this is your place. Reasonable prices, amazing service, and just everything a salon and spa should be. p.s when you are getting your hair dyed, there is a specific place for customers to sit while processing the color. The best part about the processing area, is that they have wall plugs for you to charge your phone right in front of you. THEY THINK OF EVERYTHING! :)

I had been coloring it at home for years, mostly with the results you'd expect from a box. Kristen has not only given me beautiful blonde tresses which hide the gray nicely as it starts coming in, but when the color gets a little darker, it's a beautiful light brown, the color that I tried unsuccessfully for years to get out of a box. My hair's condition has vastly improved, and every cut that I've gotten has been beautiful. I normally like my hair longer, and when I first came to Kristen, I was growing out a bad short cut. The first time in Kristen's chair and I felt like I already had long hair when she was done simply because she is an expert at cutting and knew exactly how to clean up the bad cut and give me results that I loved instantly. A few years ago, I decided to go brave and go short again. Kristen's cut was absolutely amazing. As it's grown out again, it's looking even more beautiful than ever. The salon itself is tons of fun - beautiful decor and filled with a lot of fun people. Every time I go is relaxing time for me, and I feel good just walking in the door. I highly recommend Pink, and especially Kristen. She's the bomb!!

I made an appt and was seen within a couple of days (weekday day time) and waited less than 5 mins. after arrival. Consultation was great, I thought I needed something that wasn't necessary, and she told me! I love my cut. It's super fabo! In the end, I told her, "dealers choice" when she asked if I wanted my hair curled or straightened? It's included in the service, which is definitely a bonus and extremely reasonable. My stylist was Gia. I would recommend her. Ohhh... Stella, who washed my hair, was incredible! Because let's admit it, that's a good part too! Thank you, Chic Concepts. And thank you, Gia. My second visit 7 or 8 weeks later with the same stylist didn't look as good. The contrast between blond and brown barely noticable. My third visit with the same stylist was way too dark brown. The blond highlights were narrow evenly spaced streaks and looked so fake because they were so symetrical. I cancelled future appointments because I could not get consistant results. Also, at a new place today they reported that my hair was severly damaged from over bleaching during foils. For basic services this place is fine. But they do not have an understanding of how to protect hair from further damage by over processing.
