My new go-to place for eyebrow threading! Very happy with the results, speed, and friendliness.

I moved here 2yrs ago and I had been going to the same lady for about 8yrs. I thought I could never get a good price and good experience until I came here! Now Parul (I think that's how you spell it) does my eyebrows and does a great job! read more

Parul is simply the best eyebrow technician around. She does a fantastic job with a natural product.

For ladies with SUPER THICK HAIR, definitely go here. I am so happy because I finally found someone I trust who charges an affordable price! I've come back here numerous times and they so are super flexible and friendly (plus genuinely remembers you when you are back!). Not only does she do an amazing job with haircuts for people with a head of full think hair, she can STYLE it within 45 minutes. Again, she is the only person I know I can rely on and trust will take care of me. I hope more people go here for their Hair Cuts ($35?) and Styles ($55 or less...I can't remember). Yes eyebrows are good too, however she can do wonders with haircuts and hair styling. This is most likely because she was a Teacher for Hair in India for 10 Years before coming to do hair here. In addition, her Experience and Passion includes doing Hairstyles especially updos. She attributes her fastness from Indian Weddings that would have 30+ people in the briadal party. She would start the first person early in the morning and go until they were all done. Please do yourself a favor if you have hair like mine (half vietnamese half Irish--probably got the thick hair from my Irish mom). Also, my hair is not straight, nor wavy, or pretty if I don't do anything with it. Key thing is to TRUST her. I was concerned for my first haircut, but was relived after. Also, you may wonder, how did I find this place? -My sister who lives down the road from this hidden gem. My sister also has THICK hair (however it is naturally VERY wavy). I believe she first came here for eyebrows and then decided to try them for a haircut. Do yourself a favor and go here for an affordable experience, this is a haircut and styling place worth your money! Places I've been to for cuts/styles and was not as blown away compared to when I go here include: -Bumble and Bumble Chicago (wedding style) -AF Hair Studio in Buffalo Grove (Haircuts x 3 and 1 Styling) -The Best Salon & Spa in Buffalo Grove (Haircuts × 2 and pricy for a hair trim or cut being $50+) *Odeon Family Hair Salon in DeKalb (Haircuts × 2 and hair color FIX/SAVE...done by Sarah who may or may not be there anymore) *I was also very satisfied at this place, if you travel to DeKalb, they did mine, my brothers, and sisters haircuts and they were all affordable ($30?) and great! read more

I used to come here about once a month or so to get a Brazilian wax with Parul. She made me feel comfortable and I would leave happy with the results. The last time I went which was over a month and a half ago I had gotten a brazilian wax with someone else who seemed as if she did not have the proper experience. I thought to myself I usually go with a certain technician (Parul) but since she is not here I was guessing this other woman (I do not remember her name) must have experience. She did not use gloves, and there was plenty more personal hygienic things that she did NOT do. By the time everything was done the wax was still stuck on to me and she tried to add razor bump cream to make it go away?!?! I was very dissatisfied and disappointed because someone who is not qualified or certified for the job should not be performing it. read more

Parul is my day 1 eyebrow lady. I have been coming to her for 14 years now. Affordable prices for a great service!

Best eyebrows at a ridiculously low price. Higher quality than professional salons and spas that I've been too. I even got my eyebrows tinted for the first time there and they look fabulous. Will go here from now on. read more

I have been going to this place for the past 6 years and the service is up to the mark even now. Parul the main person in the salon, is trained for a number of things including Hair cutting from javed habib. Hair coloring and eyebrows threading are the things that I go to this place frequently. The prices are quite reasonable. read more

I was recommended this place by one of my friend so I stopped by to get my eyebrows done. Bhakti did an amazing job. She was very gentle and careful when working on my eyebrows. They looked beautiful. The price is good and customer service is excellent. Ask for Bhakti when you get your eyebrows done read more

A Beauty by Design - Waxing Near Me - Schaumburg, Illinois

Such nice ladies there. Went in for threading for myself and my daughter. My daughter has patchy eyebrows and ended up getting eyebrow and lash tints. What an amazing job. No more heavy brow pencil for her. I highly recommend them. Gina read more

The woman Paru was very nice and had a pleasant demeanor I agree. I opted for a brazillian wax prior to vacation, I've had one before. This was by far the most painful wax I received. Even though I was in alot of pain, Paru coached me through it like a professional. The main reason I am giving it two stars is because of the pictures provided, there is little put into (by the owner) the back room where they do these private waxes. The backroom was extensively dirty, dusty, unkept, and there was not adequate supplies. I had to ask Paru for a towel to cover up for modesty, she provided a towel that looked like it was used for cleaning. Although Paru was very nice, and the front of the shop is kept very clean I would not recommend this place for any extensive hair removal. The fact that the owner does not put in the resources or money into the backroom where a customer wants to feel secure and clean. Sorry but this is not on my repeat list. read more

The lady who did my eyebrows didnt wash her hands. It was my first time here and she wouldn't listen to me. Ive gotten my eyebrows threaded so many time and the way she did it made the process more painful. She did it portion by portion and it wasnt a smooth pull. She kept on going back and in turn my eye area was reddened. read more

Honestly, this place is a hidden gem. I went there last year to get my moms and my hair done for a family party. Parul is super nice to listen to your idea and is flexible with your schedule. She got my mom and my hair done within 2 hours. She even did a touch up when i wondered if my hair would last. Parul made sure my hair would stay and it survived a whole day of partying, dancing and humidity. Secondly,I've never gotten my eyebrows done before just because of the fear of not having the thickness of my brow or having it uneven. But they are super nice and precise with threading. It didnt hurt to much but when i started to tear up they offeres tissue and made sure i was okay. read more

Very friendly staff. Great work. I have visited this location twice when I have been in the Schaumburg area and have had exceptional service both times. read more

Went to the salon on a random weekday to get threading done. I was waited on immediately when I was seated and the ladies were very friendly and chatty. The threading that was done was perfect! My eyebrows looked exactly the way that I wanted them to. Great price for a really good job. read more

Worst place. No professionalism. They ask all unwanted personal questions and start advising rather concentrating on what we asked for! Horrible service and waste of money. Dont even think in your wild dream to step into it if u are smart enough!! read more

Always a perfect or nearly perfect job. This was my place for the longest time, and I still haven't found a replacement since we moved about 30 minutes away. With the little ones in tow, that's a bit too far to drive for eyebrow maintenance. 4 stars instead of 5 because they have filthy toys for children to play with (and I do mean filthy), and I never feel 100% safe in the parking lot given the slight sketchiness of the strip mall. read more

The best place to get your eyebrows done! Love Parul she gives me great brows every time!

Prior to coming to this salon, I had been getting my eyebrows done by the same woman for eight years. I was terrified of getting them threaded by anyone else, but it's just too far so I had to find a new place to go. I started coming here in June and have only positive things to say! Parul is AMAZING at threading and always does a fantastic job on my eyebrows. I like how she takes her time and does not rush. My eyebrows turn out perfect each time! She is very nice as well. Since I moved in May I had to find a new place and A Beauty by Design won me over because of their excellent reviews! Eyebrow threading only costs $7. This salon is great, and you will not be disappointed! read more

Very well done without any pain or marks and for the price of $6. I highly recommend this place. read more

I wasn't going to review because I didn't want to give away the best kept secret for threading BUT they deserve it so I'll share it with everyone. In a tiny strip mall you're going to find a great place for all kinds of beauty services. I think they are known for threading but they offer a lot more. They are the BEST at what they do. Quick, no wait, good price, professional, and very nice!! read more

I come here about every 2 weeks. Eyebrow threading is amazing!!!!! I would highly recommend. The price is worth every penny & super competitive! I love the ladies who work here!!! read more

Parul is great! It took me a long time to find somewhere consistent after moving from the city to Schaumburg/Hoffman Estates. Parul is always on point. I go to her for both my eyebrows and Brazilian wax. She is always quick and efficient. And by far, most reasonably priced! read more

Paru was awesome. I'm very picky and have been driving over 30 miles for years. It's amazing to finally have someone in the NW suburbs that does as great of a job and not have to go to the city. Salon is clean, economical and she's so friendly and listens to you. Highly recommend read more

Great little hidden gem! I've been here a few times now for an eyelash lift, threading, and eyebrow tinting. Everyone is super friendly and the prices are great! There are many places closer to where I live but I'd prefer to go a little bit out of the way for better service and prices read more

I got a haircut and my eyebrows done from Parul and I did not like the results. She does not know how to do haircuts professionally at all. She cuts it dry and uneven as if it's done at home. What's worse is she lied about the price. When I asked before the haircut it was a decent price then after the haircut she raised it to 45 with no explanation and I told her we were not coming back. An actual professional salon shampoos your hair and blowdrys it after and makes sure it's even. I can't believe she charged me 45 for a bad result I could do by myself at home. After she did my eyebrows it left cuts and it was uneven. read more

Loved this place. I called ahead to see if I needed an appointment, and was greeted with a cheerful woman who gave me very precise driving directions and says walk-ins are welcome. She asked me what kind of shape I wanted and took some time to get to know me when I walked in. The actual threading was quick (my entire visit was only 15 minutes) and nearly pain-free, and she did such a good job that I actually got compliments at work the next day! $6 for such a pleasant, convenient experience? yes! read more

I bought the groupon for the eyebrow threading I was not disappointed. I called literally ten minutes before I wanted to go and they were able to take me. They did great with my eyebrows. I still have a groupon so I can go two more times and I hope to have the same outcomes! read more

From all the places I've been to for eyebrow threading, this place has been THE BEST. Parul is super nice and compared to other places, you can tell she knows a lot about what she is doing. Parul was so nice and she was amazing with my eyebrows! They came out perfect! I'm always SUPER nervous about trying a new eyebrow place because you never know what might happen but my go to place moved and it's a little too far for my taste so I decided to give this a try. This was a quick and even almost painless experience and the shape of my brows came out great! Would definitely recommend! read more
