On a Saturday there was a lot of activity so if you are looking for a more tranquil and quiet experience this may not be your spot but the service was very friendly, the facility was clean and I was really happy with my result. Due to the service I booked they immediately brought me ice cream and a cupcake which was really considerate (albeit a bit more sugar than I wanted at 9am). The prices were reasonable and the service was great overall!

I was charged the full amount on my credit card plus a fee of $8 which I assumed was for credit card processing. I didn't mind paying for the full amount upfront. After my appointment, I was told I owed $59. I spoke to the owner, and she said it is salon policy to advertise the service fee but not the fee for products used. She said in the small print online it says "a service fee may be applied". This wasn't a service fee, this was a product fee. She said I should have requested a consultation to ensure I knew the total price. I asked " I have to set up an appointment before my real appointment to know the full price?" She said I could have negotiated the fee while I was at my scheduled appointment. This makes no sense because I didn't know there would be a product fee, but even if I was told there was a product fee, what happens if we can't come to an agreement? Could I just walk out because we couldn't agree on the price and I wouldn't be charged for the 2 hour appointment? I doubt it! What a scam!

Sure enough they did and I was able to easily get scheduled for one. When I arrived I noticed some nice modern decor, quite contemporary in fact. I loved the contrast between the blush pink and the green. I had a great stylist, she did a wonderful head massage during hair washing. Then she was friendly and we chatted a bit, but I also didn't feel like there was pressure to have a conversation the entire time. I ended up with a beautiful look, and had a great experience. Affordable too!

We talked a little in the beginning, then went silent (as I prefer this), she was very good at deciphering what I preferred as a first time client. She asked me of any problem spots/areas to avoid, and checked a couple times to see if things were feeling good. The amount and duration of pressure were great, and she even did a little cupping which I was very pleasantly surprised did not hurt as I thought it would! Overall this was a great massage, especially as I felt Rachel read me/my preferences very well and did a great job in meeting them. The salon itself is gorgeous--very impressive lobby with a staircase on either side leading you upstairs! I also loved the sauna/steam room offering, and was pleasantly surprised to find a shower as well, which was stocked with any supplies you may need there. It was a very private setting. Although the $110 (plus tip) for a 1 hour massage is not something I would typically spring for, it was well worth the money and I see why their prices are this high. I would highly recommend this salon to anyone looking for a boujee, relaxing spa day!

The last time I got my hair done by Jina she gave me these beautiful mulled wine streaks throughout my hair which faded and grew out to be a nice caramel color that I had still gotten compliments on a year later! This year I literally told Jina I wanted to get some color in again but I wanted her to surprise me!! That meant a real surprise, so, any color she could think of I trusted in her artistry! I walked in to a repainted, clean, and open salon with all of the precautions in place, masks, social distancing when possible, etc. She got started on my hair right away. As she finished the lightening portion since I have such dark hair, I could tell how excited she was for the next part. She went ahead and started mixing colors and came back to get started. After a few minutes she told me she mixed two magentas and one violet! After everything was done it came out to a gorgeous deep purple that blended easily with my dark hair. After a few weeks now the color has faded to a nice mulberry but still visible and brighter than my first day! I'm so happy with this change and I look forward to more surprises Jina may have in store for me!! If you're interested in something new or if you want to try someone wonderfully talented, head over to Headlines Salon and book an appointment with Jina!! You'll love it!
