I contacted this company as my Mom had passed away and one of her last wishes was for the entire family to go to a restaurant and have a nice meal together as we come from all over Canada and the US. As we did not want anyone to drink and drive, it was decided that we would hire a limousine to do the driving. I contacted the company by email on June 24 to share this information, to express how important this evening was, to ask if they could help us and to get a price. The person replied within the hour offering condolences and a price for them to drive us to the restaurant and back. I was so pleased with how prompt they were and the price was reasonable.
I contacted them the next day to say that we were okay with the price, that there were two pickups, the time of the reservation, and to let them know that the evening was the night before because the restaurant couldn't accommodate us the evening we were hoping for. His reply was "sure. no problem. send me the addresses". I sent him all of the addresses including that of the restaurant. He thanked me and said he would start the pick up at my house at 6:50 pm. I reminded him that we needed to be at the restaurant at 7 pm and that 6:50 pm was too late. He replied that he had made a mistake and yes the pick up would be at 5:50 pm beginning at my house. He later contacted me with the driver's name and phone number.
A few more emails were exchanged about payment and it was decided I would pay the driver.
So Tuesday evening at 5:50 pm came. No driver. I thought he might be caught in traffic so I sent my phone number to the person I was emailing in case the driver needed to reach me. 6:00 pm came and no driver. I then called the driver whose wife (?) answered. She asked me to wait, that she would go get him as he was outside. When the driver said Hi, I introduced myself and asked if he was coming. He said he would be there at 6:30 pm. I told him that 6:30 pm was too late as we needed to be downtown for a 7 pm reservation. He said he was told it was 6:50 pm. I told him that it was 5:50 pm to which he apologized. I told him that we couldn't wait and that I needed to cancel the limousine then. Very disappointed, I called the contact on the website to try and reach them to see if something could be done. I called 3 times and each time received a busy signal. So I emailed the person I was communicating with to share with him that the driver had the wrong time and shared how disappointed we were, reminding him that this was a very important evening for us.
We ended up driving ourselves to the restaurant with some of us being the DD. During dinner, at 7:26 and 7:27 pm, I received two emails from the company. The first from the person I had been communicating with indicating the information he had shared with his driver which included the correct time. The second email indicated the following "I'm really sorry about this but I send the Maseg to Abby the pk up was 5:50 but he told me he stuck on the road I'm sorry again that". Funny thing is that as I mentioned, I spoke to the wife of the driver who told me he was outside and then I spoke to the driver himself. The driver was not stuck in traffic. The driver was at home. Not only am I disappointed that we did not have the limousine as we didn't want to drive (and there were three people who had never been in a limousine) but I am disappointed that they lied about being stuck in traffic.
