I had lasik done in 2008, at LasikPlus in Tampa, FL., by Dr. Groden.
I just thought I'd give you an update on how my procedure went, how my visual life has been and how I share with everyone I know who may be interested in leaving their need for glasses behind...
I share that I know of a way to do that, which I share without reservation...
and that way is not via Lasik
and it is not via LasikPlus!
When They did my eyes, they asked me to rate their work and my satisfaction on a 5point/star scale with 1 being the best and 5 being the worst. I rated you a 5. I rated you a 5 because I could not rate you a 10.
With their procedure I went from having problems seeing things close up (within an arms length), but able to read a street sign on the other side of an intersection, to not being able to see within arms length and not being able to read a sign on the other side of an intersection... not even a large sign.
I had been wearing contact lenses in a mono-vision manor (one for close vision, one for distance vision), for many years. When they did my lasik, it was decided to do the same thing, but, at the recommendation from Dr. Groden, with an even greater difference between the 2 prescriptions. I had my left eye done for near vision, and my right eye done for distance. That was the same way I was wearing my contacts.
After the procedure, in my left eye, I could not focus clearly on things close up.
After the procedure, in my left eye, I could not focus clearly on things at a distance beyond 6 feet.
I shortly realized what happened. In was seeing multiple clear images in my right eye. I was seeing 2 overlapping images. One image was to the left and a little higher than the other. The further the item was that I was trying to see, the greater the separation between the 2 images... as if I was looking through 2 lenses that where misaligned. The scientific term for that is parallax.
Shortly after that I realized that my left eye had something similar going on. There was a difference however. The difference was that instead of 2 overlapping images, there were 6 overlapping images... overlapping in a daisy pattern.
When I described this to Dr. Groden (Their doctor, their expert, the man who had done the procedure),
Dr. Groden Called Me a Liar!!!
Dr. Groden said what I described was impossible!
Dr. Groden said there is no lens in the eye!
Everyone who has had high school science, and many who haven't, has been taught (correctly), that every eye has a lens. When I told your doctor that, he said that was not the case. He said, Strongly, that there is no lens in the eye!
And again, when I described my experience, Dr. Groden called me a liar.
This went on for about 90 minutes!!
To this day, I am still experiencing multiple images in each eye.
I let everyone know about this.
I let everyone know where I had this procedure done.
I let everyone know the truth of my experience with your doctor.
I am accurate and truthful in all that I share.
I am very careful to never be slanderous or liable in what I share.
If threaten I will accurately and truthfully add that to my testimony that I share with everyone I encounter who even remotely seems like a possible lasik customer.
I see that they have a video on line that they titled, "Life-changing results from real LasikPlus patients."
That now has me tempted to create a video of my own, where I share my Life-changing results from my being a real LasikPlus patient. read more
