I chose Bulls Eye because Dr. Garcia is able to fit for gas permeable contact lenses, sadly…read moresomething that not all optometrists can/will do. My husband had a good enough experience with Dr. Garcia that he recommended that my kids and I switch our care to Bulls Eye Care, so when it was my son's time for his annual eye exam, and I was interested in Stellest lenses for him, I decided to bring him to Dr. Garcia too. The office offers online scheduling, but you can also call and speak to the staff. There are a lot of appointments available. I would say that the office is very kid friendly. We had a pleasant experience, and when my son's glasses were ready, the office called right away for me to pick them up. As a working mom, I was happy by the convenience of the office.

I chose this specific eye doctor thinking I was supporting a culturally responsive eye…read morepractitioner. I quickly realized that not all skin folk is kin folk OR the Doctor deeply lacks "bed side" care. He was over an hour behind on his schedule, with no apology or asking for grace. He had zero casual conversation as I was a first time patient, not even introducing himself, just did his thing and left the room. I could have gotten better care from Target Optical from a random eye doctor or even used Warby Parker app to get better patient care. Recommend you do the same if you are thinking of this doctor.

Wait time to see doctors at appointment is too long. Billing is terrible. On-line payment errors…read moremessages. Double checked required info and still errors out. I tried to call and could not get anybody on the phone to make the payment. Dr Cotheran is good but the conglomerate of Eye Instiutute offers terrible service with administrative related. Taking my records and finding another doctor. Looking at the other reviews now, I will say to for prospective patients to stay clear from Eye Institute of West Florida. I was told under QT they are reducing staff to maximize profit. Outsourcing support that work from home and offer very little in help.

The medical team is fantastic! I've had exams by three different doctors and all are well-trained…read moreprofessionals with excellent patient interactions. Five-star exams! The reason for three stars (tempted to mark lower)? The billing and office staff shortcomings. I've been involved in some unprofessional discussions and witnessed the same as the staff interacting with other patients at the counter. The staff is not quiet when discussing personal patient information (medical and billing) in a crowded waiting room. If privacy is not possible given the open floor plan of the offices, at least lower your voice or ask patients to step to a more private location. Not sure if HIPPA guidelines apply to protect patients at eye centers but the open discussion of sensitive matters seems unprofessional and uncaring. I know FAR more than I should about many patients who were trying to discuss matters at the counter including financial and medical details with lowered voices but the staff was oblivious. Seems like a liability but again not sure if HIPPA privacy laws apply to eye centers.

We found our new optometrist! Dr. Sabin was very patient with my two kids, explaining everything…read moreas he examined their eyes. Ok, he was patient with me as well, I'm not the easiest patient. I don't like eye drops, yet he was able to get them in quickly and easily. Eric, verified our insurance information and ensured the visit was covered. He was also able to schedule the four of us with consecutive appointments. Eric told us that they will price match 1800 Contacts, so you can walk out with your contacts. Better service, better equipment (no puff and they can do the test without dilation if you prefer), kind and patient, great with kids (and adults that act like kids), fantastic selection of glasses and price match contacts.

I can't express how disappointed I am in this doctor's office since their move across the street. I…read moreunderstand that prices increase over time, but at this point it honestly feels like price gouging. I've purchased the exact same frames from this office for the past three times, every other year. The last two years, the front desk staff mis-ordered my frames. Both times, I had to make an extra trip just to discover the mistake. Instead of taking responsibility, they acted like it was somehow my fault -- even though it's the same frames I order every time. Come on. Let's talk about pricing. In 2023, my total was: Frames: $210 Lenses: $60 Exam: $60 Total: $330 Fast forward to December 2025: Frames: $330 (same frames) Lenses: $100 Exam: $99 That's a massive jump in just two years. When I went to pick up my glasses (after waiting for them to come in), I questioned the pricing because I genuinely thought it might be a mistake. I was then told that since I "upgraded" after the first mis-order, I actually owe them more money. What?? The front desk told me the suggested retail was $264 and that they mark that up -- somehow that becomes over $330. Meanwhile, the suggested retail on the original frames is $227, which means they're marking them up over 45%. Just wow. I chose to leave without causing a scene, but the combination of repeated ordering errors, dismissive customer service, and dramatic price increases is unacceptable. Patients deserve accountability, transparency, and fair pricing. Unfortunately, I experienced none of that here. I will be taking my business elsewhere
