I can't express how disappointed I am in this doctor's office since their move across the street. I understand that prices increase over time, but at this point it honestly feels like price gouging. I've purchased the exact same frames from this office for the past three times, every other year. The last two years, the front desk staff mis-ordered my frames. Both times, I had to make an extra trip just to discover the mistake. Instead of taking responsibility, they acted like it was somehow my fault -- even though it's the same frames I order every time. Come on. Let's talk about pricing. In 2023, my total was: Frames: $210 Lenses: $60 Exam: $60 Total: $330 Fast forward to December 2025: Frames: $330 (same frames) Lenses: $100 Exam: $99 That's a massive jump in just two years. When I went to pick up my glasses (after waiting for them to come in), I questioned the pricing because I genuinely thought it might be a mistake. I was then told that since I "upgraded" after the first mis-order, I actually owe them more money. What?? The front desk told me the suggested retail was $264 and that they mark that up -- somehow that becomes over $330. Meanwhile, the suggested retail on the original frames is $227, which means they're marking them up over 45%. Just wow. I chose to leave without causing a scene, but the combination of repeated ordering errors, dismissive customer service, and dramatic price increases is unacceptable. Patients deserve accountability, transparency, and fair pricing. Unfortunately, I experienced none of that here. I will be taking my business elsewhere read more

I've been going to Dr. Sabin for several years. I can make an appointment online, and he is always prompt when I arrive for my appointment. He is personable and proficient. He has the latest equipment. I always opt for retinal imaging, which takes a digital image of the eye and enables him to assess the health of my retina, optic nerve, macula, and blood vessels. Macular degeneration and glaucoma run in my family, so I consider it imperative to get an annual retinal imaging exam. I highly recommend Dr. Sabin! read more

The worst product!!!!!! Glasses had coating wear off making the blurry to look thru in less than a year. Told "yeah that happens alot with these". Had selected highest premium for the lense option. Replaced once. Did it again within 6 months despite perfect care and no actual scratches. Told so sorry you only get one replacement ever. Totally rediculous for a $5-600 pair of glasses to expect replacing every year. Staff very blase and so what attitude, it even offer for discount to replace! Dr. David Sabin is so amazing and makes you feel like he always has your best interest at heart. Very caring and answers all your questions and addresses concerns if they arise. I have been bringing my older son here for the past 3 years and he is always excited to go see Erik and Dr. Sabin. We found our new optometrist! Dr. Sabin was very patient with my two kids, explaining everything as he examined their eyes. Ok, he was patient with me as well, I'm not the easiest patient. I don't like eye drops, yet he was able to get them in quickly and easily. Eric, verified our insurance information and ensured the visit was covered. He was also able to schedule the four of us with consecutive appointments. Eric told us that they will price match 1800 Contacts, so you can walk out with your contacts. Better service, better equipment (no puff and they can do the test without dilation if you prefer), kind and patient, great with kids (and adults that act like kids), fantastic selection of glasses and price match contacts. read more

I want to preface this by saying that I have never left a bad review for anyone on yelp. I'm a laid back chick. But my experience here was horrible!! My friend broke my glasses so I called the next day and they were able to get me in that afternoon. The guy at the front (Andrew maybe?) told me over the phone to call my insurance and find out what kind of eye coverage I had. I was at work and couldn't spend 5-10 minutes calling a 1-800 number, so I asked 3 coworkers and they all told me "we have *this* insurance". I'm thinking "cool, I found out what I have, problem solved". When I get there, there were 3 workers up front - I felt like I was walking into a party I wasn't invited to. Andrew starts asking me some questions and we get to insurance. I told him what I had- long story short apparently I NEEDED to call my insurance beforehand, not just figure out what I had from coworkers. He LEGITIMATELY started SCOLDING me! And I quote "no no I told you to call. This is why I told you to call. I said that on the phone, you were supposed to call and figure out what you had for insurance!!" I haven't been to the eye doctor in years and he reminded me why. Such disrespect! Apparently they don't have the "the customer is always right" mentality. Andrew made me find the 1-800 number. I called and talked to an automated machine for 10 minutes before finally figuring everything out. All the while he's shaking his head while him and his coworker are watching some slightly inappropriate show on their big screen. After I hang up he reminds me again that I should have called earlier. I get it dude! I said sorry multiple times but it got to a point where it was more than excessive. In addition, after the eye exam I'm looking at some frames and Andrew is talking very loudly to his coworker about another client!! He's complaining saying that "she called to confirm and then cancelled later and it was a Saturday appointment and those fill up so quick and how dare she" etc etc. Horribly bashing someone while I'm in the store?? I can only imagine what he was going to say about me after I left. Granted it sucks someone cancelled last minute but things come up. And even if that lady was just super rude, DONT TALK ABOUT IT IN FRONT OF A CUSTOMER, DUDE. Needless to say, I paid for my exam and left without glasses. I have never been so disrespected at an establishment in my life. The ONLY plus was that Dr Sabin was very pleasant. Word of advice- get rid of the rude guy working the front and you guys might start making more money. read more

I would not recommend coming here for checking vision and contact fitting. I've visited Dr Sabin multiple times telling him that I'm not seeing clearly with the new contacts prescription he prescribed me (higher power). The last visit I had with him, he didn't even check my vision and just gave me a higher prescription for both eyes and told me to try it and he had a good feeling it will work out (this was the 3rd trial contacts he has given me). Not trusting his word, I went back to my previous eye doc (switched initially bc the office was far) and found out that the prescription Dr Sabin gave me was completely wrong for both eyes. And yes I had to pay out of pocket for my second eye exam bc my insurance already covered the first one with OPTism. Also, on my first visit with Dr. Sabin, he told me that my vision insurance covers for both Glasses AND contacts. I asked him twice if he was sure ( knowing this is too good to be true) and he said "I'm 98% sure". Well after all my exam, picking out my glasses and etc. the following day I got a call saying that my insurance only covered glasses OR contacts. Also, The office is very laid back and not very professional. This was a pretty bad experience, which cost me additional expenses, time, and could have affected the health of my vision. ***Replying back to Business Owner Comment Below*** Dr. Sabin commented below saying the 3rd trial is my original doctors prescription and I had a follow up appointment scheduled. First, if this was true, why did it take 3 different appointments for him to decide my prescription was the same prescription from my prior doctor, which was over a year old prescription. (Note: My vision did get worst so the last trial was still wrong). Second, there was no follow up appt scheduled. After my 3rd appt, he ordered the 3rd trials. I then got a text saying it was ready for pick up. I decided not to pick it up. Picking up "trial" contacts is not a scheduled appt. Dr.Sabin comment below: "...we apologized several times and bc of that we did not charge you contact lens exam. We also upgrade you to a much more expensive lens in your glasses for a fraction of the price". Yes, I was charged a contact exam and my insurance covered it. Because my insurance covered it, I had to pay out of pocket for my 2nd contact exam when I went back to my old doctor. I CHOSED to upgrade my glasses and I paid additional $100 after my insurance covered the rest. read more

I brought in some frames I'd bought in NYC, and these guys very quickly and efficiently outfitted them with some top notch lens at a very competitive price (frankly about 30% less than competitors). Flash forward 9 months, and the lens had begun to discolor. I brought them back in and they honored the warranty and had them swapped out in less than a week, no hassles, no complaints. They've always been professionals and I've since had 3 other pairs outfitted by them, all of which seem to be holding up nicely. read more

Are all these positive reviews bogus? Based on them, I got my glasses here, but the staff gave me nothing but a hard time through the whole process. The optometrist would not even call me back OR come to the phone to answer a simple follow-up question I had about his prescription, before I bought a second pair. Instead, I was told that I had to pay $80 and make a new appointment, even though it was only a one sentence question. I called several times to try to reason with them. They said they'd call back but never did. I will NEVER return here. DO NOT VISIT THIS ESTABLISHMENT!!! After walking into a disorganized shop and trying to gain the attention of the blasé employees-I searched for a new pair of glasses. I found a pair of woman's that looked like male's. I'm secure enough to buy a pair that are different but will not tolerate a bigoted employee, Andrew, whom said "You CANT get a woman's pair" before showing me the "right" pair which were unisex. I've dealt with vision problems and optometrists for quite some time now. Let me tell you, I walked into this place and almost walked right back out because I thought it was an Apple store. That's how great this place looks. It's spacious, stylish, and relaxed while still being professional. The guys working there are friendly, knowledgable, and are all about finding the best option(s) for you. I walked in just curious about the place, and in under an hour I had my eyes examined, frames picked out, lenses and contacts ordered, and I left muttering to myself, "That was ***ing awesome!" I had to come back to correct my prescription, which they did quickly and at no cost. Seriously, this place is the bomb. I feel like stopping by some days just to hang out. I wanted to make sure the entire process was complete before posting my review but ..... THIS WAS BY FAR THE BEST EXPERIENCE IVE EVER HAD WHILE LOOKING FOR NEW GLASSES AND CONTACTS I. MY LIFE ! The entire staff was helpful from the moment I walked in . Eric listened and helped me pick out exactly what I was looking for in a frame. Gave me enough time and space to make my decision and I did not regret it. He also was very helpful in explaining my insurance and my benefits and all of my options ! Dr. Sabin was then able to give me the best eye exam I've ever had in my life. He was wet patient and attentive to what I needed. He answered every questions I had about my vision the exam and recommendations. He then was able to finally recommend the contacts he thought would be a good fit after listening to what I complained about to every eye doctor before him and he made the best recommendation! I had been frustrated and given up on contacts before that. I was super satisfied with the recommendation . I was going on a trip . They made sure I had enough trial contacts to last me since my glasses weren't ready yet. When I got the glasses, I didn't like the lenses and they were able to get them replaced in a timely manner !
