    I see 5 star vision!!! Perfect service with all the staff are very helpful throughout the whole process.

    "I Can See Clearly Now... Thanks to LASIK Plus!" If I could give LASIK Plus and Dr. Perry a standing ovation with my eyeballs, I would! From the moment I walked in, it felt less like a surgery appointment and more like a VIP spa day for my vision. Everyone was so informative and reassuring--I felt like I was being prepped for a first-class flight straight to 20/20 vision! The procedure itself? Blink and you'll miss it. Seriously, I was in the room for ten minutes--and came out seeing the world like it had just gotten an HD upgrade. Shoutout to the incredible ladies assisting Dr. Perry--angels in scrubs who kept me calm and comforted like I was the star of the show (because, let's be honest, I was). If you're thinking about getting LASIK, stop thinking and do it. Dr. Perry and the LASIK Plus team are eye-deal.

    Was worth it!!!!! And all the Lasik, plus nurses and doctors were outstanding!!!!!! I recommend it very highly!!!

    Such a terrible experience at Petelin Vision. Came in for a LASIK Consultation and a tech (I think…read moreher name was Joyce) but not totally sure, woman in her 50's with dark hair did my exam. She was all over the place and couldn't find one of her tools, so then she said "whoever put this in the wrong place is going to be in big trouble". Whatever, not a big deal but I could tell she was unprofessional already. In the middle of my exam she said "oh no, I do not like what I see" she then told me "I'm not a doctor but it looks like you have Keratoconus in your right eye. It's weird because I've had a bunch of people come in this week with the same thing" I had no idea what Keratoconus is, but she told me it's a bad progressive eye disease that can lead to blindness. She then told me to come in and redo the scans. I left completely upset and called my ophthalmologist, who had just seen me and and had been seeing me since I was 13 did a topography scan and told me that he noticed some steepening, but that because I had the same vision since I was 13 and such a negligible astigmatism that stayed the same that it was not going to progress and not to worry at all. I went for a 2nd consultation at a different location and an actual doctor saw me, 4 surgeons reviewed my case and said I was a candidate for PRK. I then made an appointment with a cornea specialist who specializes in Keratoconus who did more scans and a full work-up and ended up saying it was mild inferior steepening pattern and doing topography guided PRK, which went outstanding! Every doc I spoke to said that a tech should never be trying to diagnose me and that I walked away never actually seeing a doc. This tech should not be diagnosing patients at all. I have never experienced this and hope no one else does either.

Calling the office and speaking with Dererdra, who was so pleasant and so patient I knew I would be in great hands.... The way Dr. Chong explained things and told me what she was doing was so impressive, usually I have to ask 50 questions but she answered everything before I had to ask anything. I truly felt like Dr. Chong really cared about the health of my eyes and I didnt feel like a number at all like one does at most medical offices. Her assistant and office staff were all fabulous, helpful pleasant and kind. Although, Dr. Chong has a very busy schedule, I NEVER felt rushed or pressured. Truly the best experience I have ever had with an eye Dr. I will never go anywhere else and will making appointments for the rest of my family. One of the staff opened the door for all those waiting 15 minutes before their opening hour. That was nice! They have a very busy business. There are 5 staff at the front desk helping their customers. It makes for quick check ins. We were seen quickly by a tech who took vitals and did preliminary testing of the eye. He was kind and professional. We then saw a specialist who used equipment to check the eye in more detail. There was some swelling which is normal. She also dilated the one eye to take a closer look. Everything looked normal. She answered a number of questions we had. She was very thorough and positive. We were scheduled for another follow up with the eye surgeon. A good visit. Sara at the front desk greeted me with the sweetest energy and left me feeling instantly welcomed--she really set the tone for the entire visit. Christine in the optics/eyeglass area went above and beyond, educating me on eyeglass options and suggested insightful questions to ask the doctor. She was equally a ray of light and made everything so much easier! Technician Jen, wow! What a standout--one of the most personable, validating, and humanizing medical professionals I've encountered. Her relaxed presentation, sense of humor, and kindness were so refreshing! She normalized every symptom I mentioned with humanness and playfulness. I felt such ease already in meeting Dr. Tran, knowing he must be amazing to have such incredible frontline staff. I was most definitely impressed. Dr. Tran was kind, professional, warm, and so encouraging. He put me at such ease throughout the exam. He was so attentive! He gave me his undivided attention and eye contact while his assistants Caitlin and Camilla entered notes. Just outstanding bedside manner!  He was quite the hoot in letting me know I was living on borrowed time having gone as long as I have without glasses into my mid-40's so to know glasses for the computer/work hours is all I need for now was the best news I could have asked for.  He was great about answering all my questions and made great recommendations for combatting dryness/strain on my eyes to preserve what I have longer.  When I scooted back to Christine to pick out my glasses and browsed frames while waiting, other staff walked by and complimented me simply on existing--such a rare, warm, friendly, and uplifting experience all-around! By the time I left, I felt like a million bucks, despite the (expected) sticker shock of new glasses! If all of this wasn't amazing enough, Jen complimented my long lashes and asked if they were real -- little did she know, that was the best thing she could have said to me! They are real and my own lashes, thanks to the Lash Boost serum I sell, use, and absolutely swear by, and compliments on my lashes are such joyful surprises! I have to say...in my past life, I would teach medical students that the people you hire as your frontline staff are absolutely a representation of what patients will expect from you as a provider. It informs how you will likely treat and care for your patients' experience. Well, this absolutely came to life thru this experience. The customer service at Horizon Eye Specialists off Allied Way in N. Phoenix is truly impeccable, and one of the best medical experiences I've ever experienced! Well done team!

The establishment is run like a well-oiled factory…read more Each staff person I met through the process was rushed, condescending, and void of any warmth. Upon completion of my exam, I was given a large envelope of forms to fill out and warned that if they were not. completed correctly my second visit would be canceled upon arrival after the review of the forms. I made it past forms and met with a very rushed individual who did my final measurements and spent the next 45 minutes trying to schedule all my future appointments. I was then given a packet of forms with dates and times for the cataract procedures at a Surgery Center that is part-owned by Petelin. I was sold two expensive bottles of eye drops that were not in stock requiring another trip and sent on my way . At the surgery center it was so crowded it was hard to find a place to wait and you must be accompanied by a driver who waits with you. My surgery was scheduled for 3:30, at 5:20 I inquired how much longer the wait would be and was told forty-five minutes to an hour. The attendant said when the procedure began I would be there an additional hour and a half. Reluctantly due to fasting and with no water since 8:30 a.m. I felt I could no longer wait and canceled the procedure in a still crowded waiting room. I was quite surprised by how many people were willing to be kept waiting for hours for their procedures. The experience was similar to waiting for an overbooked flight. I left and called the office the next day to cancel all future appointments and procedures. It was as I waited that I began to review how unprofessional and unfriendly the entire experience had been. The waiting was difficult but it was the realization that I and others in that waiting room were being treated like cattle that made me leave. There were no apologies, no updates, and a very matter-of-fact understanding that this was the way it would be. No disrespect to the others that waited but I now had such a bad vibe I could not stay and give my money to an organization that has no respect for its patients. Dr. Petelin may be a very good doctor but the experience was so unfriendly from the beginning until I walked out that I feel I made the right decision to leave. I called the office the next morning to cancel my future appointments, but no one apologized. Two days later the surgery center called me to check on me, not even aware I had not gone through with the procedure. Surely I can find a place for cataract surgery that will be better than this experience.
