One hand not knowing what the other is doing. I signed up for a deal on the Book of Face where they supposedly give you 1K off when they never tell you what the price is. Got a Zoom meeting with someone clearly not from MN and clearly hasn't had LASIK. It looked like her office might being shipped out of town. Stuff in cardboard paper wrapping on the floor. She had glasses on and referred to A-dee-na and Minne-an-apolis. Also, the A-dee-na location that I booked online was closed. She was able to pronounce Oakdale and switched me to this location. Not confidence inspiring. Told me that only five percent of people have problems. You are telling me I have a one in twenty chance of this being complicated from Ohio? That ain't how we do it in Minnesota! I called them to cancel the next pre-surgery appointment but nobody answered. Imagine that. Oh, yeah. They wanted 38 hundred after the 1K discount. I'll stick with the glasses or else go local to spend that cash. read more

I wish I could give 10 stars!! I''ve worn glasses/contacts most of my life and have wanted Lasik for as long as I can remember but was always a bit nervous about it. I just had my procedure done this morning and couldn't be happier!! The entire staff is very friendly and personable. I had my consultation and follow up at the Edina location and the procedure at the Oakdale location. What I love the best is that every single person I encountered, regardless of the location, was friendly, personable, and just plain fun to be around. It made the semi-nerveracking experience so much easier. Dr Heuer, known for giving hugs, really did great. she explained everything that was happening during the procedure and was just absolutely incredible. I highly recommend LasikPlus and was able to see so clearly after just a few hours. I only wish I would've done this a long time ago! read more

Staff was very friendly. The staff at this location definitely puts the safety of their clients first. There was a technical problem with one of the lasers and had techs out trying to fix it. The staff kept us informed to what was going on the entire time. Unfortunately I was unable to get the procedure done at Oakdale but they reschedule in Maple Grove the same day. The staff made sure we as clients were satisfied. The procedure was a piece of cake. Before hand they made sure all questions were answered. During the procedure they talk to you the entire time, which made it very comforting. I would say it takes about 10 minutes from walking into the procedure room to walking out. Procedure was painless The toughest part was the 4-6 hours afterwards. I had a burning sensation in my eyes. But after resting them for 6 hours, I was no longer in pain and was able to see =) I would highly recommend anyone to the Oakdale location of LasikPlus read more

I'd give this place 4-5 stars if it wasn't for the guy that works here (Woodbury, MN Tamarack location). Super weird and makes off the wall comments like "i'm not arguing with you but . . . " I thought it was just me until my wife went here and also had the same guy help her with fitting her glasses. She's even less impressed. Sorry, i like this place a lot except for the weird guy. Checking in for my 24 hour check up after correcting my vision. No more glasses or contacts for me! Last night-less then 12 hours after the procedure I was at the theatre watching some performances. Amazing! Dr. Awad was able to correct my Monovision. I felt if I was having surgery on my eyes and going through with this why should I have to still wear "cheaters"-so I went all in and had them "fix it all"! Now no more glasses or contacts for me. I would highly recommend getting this procedure done. And if you are just curious if you are a candidate for the procedure-go in and get checked. There was no obligation on my part when I had the evaluation and exam. And if you think it is too expensive-I think you will be pleasantly surprised! There are several options to support one in this life changing experience! If anyone is concerned or afraid of the pain-don't be! My eyes were numb and afterwards I just rested with my eyes closed(I'm not a napper!). It only felt like I swam in come chlorine and had a few eyelashes stuck in my eyes. Don't wait...get checked out. I wish I would not have waited this long. P.S. I'm doing this on my cell phone with no glasses and no squinting or straining. I love it! read more

I have gone there for years. Dr. G is a wonderul person/DR. I was told I needed a Progressive lens and they fitted me like everyone else. I have needed them redone 3 times. Dr. G had his office pay for the third lenses due to insurance not willing. The problem is I asked him NOT to make the lenses a specific way and told him multiple times. You guessed it, that is what it came as. Now I wonder why it was finished exactly how I said not to. Now I have 800.00 glasses that do not work. I was told try for 2 weeks everytime and did. I was also told they could be returned. You guessed it.... NOPE!!! They called me and said I am not a good fit for "their office". Nice huh. They put me in the newest and most expensive lenses also. I was not informed of what Progressive would be and I think I offended them greatly by seeking info from another. Now I am not a good fit. Nice. Always ask a million questions and make sure they verify with the right people if it is true. Then to top it off they have their top line of defense lady call and try to rebuff me. My birthday dinner guests left while I was trying to reason with them. So now I am stuck for a year with USELESS glasses for what I need. read more

Have Lasik done in Sept 2018, eyes were -1.5, 1st month was great, after that eye started to shift to +.25, street signs getting hard to read, called them in Aug. 2019 (11months out) was told they could not do any thing until my eyes were +1, so it looks like it is back to used glasses even after paying all that money. would have given a "0" if possible. very unhappy customer. recommendation think twice before doing this. read more

Just had my eyes done and the experience was awesome! The consultation was thorough, and I was able to schedule for just a few days later. They explained everything so there were no surprises. I had my procedure done yesterday, had my follow up today and am seeing better than 20/20! They were spot on with the recovery time, and how it felt. Today I woke up to zero pain, just a tad bit of dry eye feeling (the drops soothe it) and love that I don't have to wear my glasses anymore! This place was great. You set an appointment and they are ready for you at that time. No sitting around waiting, no wasted time. They tell you how long to expect and finish almost right at that time. The entire staff is great. Everyone answers questions, helps along, and smiles and keeps things moving. The procedure day is easy, everyone there knew what they were doing and it was simple. I had a consultation on a weekend and it lasted for about 1.5 hours. The staff were amazing and made you feel welcomed right away. Dr. Awad examined my eye and made me comfortable/assured that I was a good candidate for lasik. On the day of my lasik procedure I had it with Dr. buntrock and he made me very comfortable and the surgery lasted about 1 minute per eye. It was a great experience, the procedure is not as bad as you think it is. The staff will make sure you're comfortable and ready. Very professional! The process started out OK, however getting ready for the procedure the numbing agent didn't seem to be working and when mentioned they said don't worry... it will be fine, well it was not fine, I could feel considerable pain in one eye and other was just very irritated. The nurse keep apologizing for how long it was taking, seemed like Dr. White was fumbling around and the Nurse was embarrassed of his work. I had a lot of pain, broken blood vessels and irritation for the next week to 10 days, I could see better but it hurt to have my eyes open. I paid extra to have lifetime touch-ups however after my pain and suffering, I will never let anyone there touch me again. read more

I had lasik done wihen I was 21 years old. I never had the chance to meet beforehand with the doctor who was performing my surgery, which was Dr. Awad. Instead, I had met with another eye doctor at Lasik Plus to determine my eligibility and diagnostics. He was great and very kind, but about five years after my surgery, my eyes started going bad again. I went back to the clinic to see what could be done and they informed me my vision had changed, so I would need to have lasik again. It was mentioned that since the lasik had a lifetime guarantee, I could always get my vision corrected again for free, which sounded great, until I heard about the $100 something service fee I had to pay to get my eyes evaluated again. It is ridiculous that Lasik Plus is asking me to invest more money in something that they couldn't warranty. Whiting Clinic has free follow-up visits for the rest of the individual's life! Someone I know who had their lasik done there, goes annually to get their free eye check-up. This is very disappointing that such a service didnt come with Lasik Plus's surgery! I was informed by my primary eye doctor that I had eye surgery too young, because at 21, my vision will continuously change until I am in my late 30s or so forth. If someone at Lasik Plus had told me to wait until my late 30s to have the surgery, it would have been great! I guess all they care about is making money. Now, I am back to wearing contacts and eyeglasses. I don't want to have another surgery, because I have thin cornea and had to undergo the PRK surgery. During surgery, a thin layer of my cornea is re-shapened or removed. If I have the surgery too many times, I won't have much of a cornea left. I am out of luck. :-( read more

I had Lasik through LasikPlus 10 years ago and purchased the lifetime satisfaction plan. Over the past six months, I have had reduced vision in one of my eyes. The doctor I saw said they were reluctant to give me an enhancement because this doctor felt my vision hadn't changed enough. In particular, I have difficulty with my periphery now, but I was told it wasn't an issue and I could still legally drive. The staff told me it was my decision and they would call me to set up a time if I wanted to go ahead with the enhancement. I was told specifically by the person at the desk that I was regressing back past the point where they do the proceedures and if he was me, he would try and have the enhancement. They never called. I have called twice and never gotten a call back. My vision in the one eye is bad enough where I am considering getting a contact for that eye. BE wary of their lifetime enhancements, as they are reluctant to follow through on them. Apparently, my vision will have to deteriorate in my one eye to the point where I can't see a car coming on that side or I have to get the one contact lens. Do yourself a favor, go to Whiting like my sister did. She needed a touch up after her initial treatment and they got her in and out, no questions asked. read more
