I was very impressed with the reviews and went to their office. There was no doctor available in person to see me. Before my visit I was pushed by the office staff for same day surgery which I did not want before my evaluation by the doctor. I am a physician myself and was expecting to see Dr. Perry but after the technician did my tests I had a video interview with someone from Tucson who introduced to me as being a doctor. I am not sure if he is an ophthalmologist, PA or optomerist. He definitely convinsed me to have surgery and I was ready for it. The girl in the office told me that she will call me before the end of the month. I am still waiting. Now I am wondering if I was going to have surgery by Dr. Perry or somebody else. I think it's just a big name but not a good patient care. Just because its a quick and easy surgery does not mean you don't need to talk to the patient before surgery. I am a 33 year old woman who had LASIK at LASIK Plus in Chandler in October of 2022. Everything was great until it wasn't. Please read this. DO NOT LET THESE PEOPLE NEAR YOUR EYES UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. First of all, they are dishonest about many of the long-term effects and complications of LASIK. They told me moments before surgery (not at the consultation) that there was a chance of it harming my night vision. Yeah, LASIK permanently ruins night vision for a lot of people. There is a very high chance of you never driving at night again even if your daytime results are 20/20. They won't tell you that because they want your 4,000 dollars. I am 33 years old and they took away my independence for four thousand dollars. I hope they bought something fun with it. My night vision is the least of my concerns. I know now that because of how sever my myopia was, I should have been turned away. LASIK DOES NOT RESHAPE THE CORNEA. IT SCRAPES THE CORNEA AWAY. The more near-sighted you are, the less cornea you are left with. It does not grow back. I was left with an extremely thin cornea and it only took eight months to start feeling the very damaging effects of this. I have eye strain and halos. My vision in my left eye is degrading daily. I have to put in expensive specialty eye drops constantly. When I noticed my degrading vision, I immediately called LASIK Plus... And they refused to see me unless it was to try to sell me another surgery. READ. THAT. AGAIN. They refused to EVEN SEE ME. You are no longer considered a patient after three months. This is not to keep you as a patient during the window of time when complications tend to arise. IT IS TO GET RID OF YOU BEFORE THE WINDOW OF TIME WHEN COMPLICATIONS TEND TO ARISE. Less than a year after they ruin your eyes, they will not even be interested in seeing you to give you a diagnosis for what they have done to you. Tomorrow I see a real optometrist to find out if LASIK plus has given me something devastating like corneal ectasia or just such severe dry eye it is scratching my corneas and effecting my vision. Either way I am looking at a lifetime of pain, blurred vision, and expensive specialty contact lenses. I could even end up needing a procedure that is double the cost of LASIK and all this will do is stop my vision from deteriorating further. I had the BEST experience with my visits to LASIK plus. I went for my consult for LASIK thinking there was no way I would be a candidate (I always thought lasik was for younger people, not 50 year olds). I visited the Chandler location & met with Dr. Powell (she looks like she's 16! but she's not), & she was amazing. So knowledgeable, great bedside manner, listens to you, doesn't rush you, answers all your questions. I really felt so comfortable & I was SO excited when she said I was a candidate for the procedure. I have mono vision so I use my left eye for distance & my right eye for close up so I scheduled my surgery for the following week (this past Thursday). I went to the Scottsdale location (I will review that location on their Yelp page). I came back to this Chandler location Friday for my 24 hour follow up & got the "all clear". 10 out of 10 stars for this office. Worth every penny. I see like when I was 30 years old again!!! Holy crap is all I can say! Although the day of the procedure was pretty uncomfortable and there was a high level of pain afterwards, I would do it all over again! Being able to wake up the morning after and being able to see clearly without any reaching for my glasses was beyond amazing! My suggestion is to bring a box of Kleenex with you for the ride home. A lot of watering in the eyes which caused my nose to plug up. The doctors were all friendly, calming, and supportive. read more

Extremely unprofessional! The receptionist was on her phone when I first came in, not immediately acknowledging me. So I already felt awkward. Then she kept calling me girlfriend as she was hovering over the gentleman doing my eye exam. Then right after my eyes were dilated, she hands me a price sheet and wants me to take a look at it. Are you serious? My eyes just got dilated, I can't see! They seemed more concerned with taking my money than the well being of my eyes. They are definitely the McDonald's of eye care! I just received Lasik from Swartz Eye Center. They are professional and caring! And not to mention their machines, technology, and tests they run are so much more advanced! Our eyes are so important, do not trust them to LasikPlus. They just want your money, they don't care about your eyes! read more

Overall process was VERY impersonal. After I scheduled a free virtual consultation for LASIK, I met with a random representative from corporate (she was a few minutes late to the call). She was cordial and briefly went through the pricing options + procedure (5-10 minutes), but I was thrown off by the fact that she kept glancing off screen to read from a script. I was hesitant to schedule an eye exam at this location because she told me Dr. Perry only performs LASIK at the Scottsdale location, which is over an hour away from my house, but she kept pressuring me into scheduling an appointment anyway. After getting a second consultation from another practice in town (who I had an amazing experience with), I decided to cancel my eye exam at this center and called their 1-800 line, only to be met with a call center rep who seemed annoyed and audibly sighed before cancelling my appointment. 2/5 stars as I didn't have a horrible experience here, but I'm not surprised most of the recent reviews have 1 star ratings... read more

I'm so happy I decided to get LASIK done, FINALLY! Dr Perry was amazing as well as his wonderful staff in Chandler and Scottsdale. I can't thank Dr. Perry enough for my PERFECT vision! This was the best decision I ever made and it was done in the blink of an eye (just kidding, you can't blink). All I can say is WOW! I am 6 months post-op and my vision has been 20/20 since the day after surgery. It is still incredible to me that I could wake up with perfect vision in a day. I went to LasikPlus Vision Center in Minneapolis, MN and was treated like a VIP, I couldn't do the surgery at the time so a couple years later I went back, only this time to Lasik Plus Vision Center in Arizona. It was the exact same experience, and I was treated like a VIP only this time everything was streamlined bc I had already been in for the consultation. I had my surgery yesterday, was able to do go on a payment plan, and am seeing 20/15! Better than 20/20. My contact prescription was -6.50 in both eyes. It's a scientific miracle that LasikPlus was able to do this for me and it's changed my life! Everything about this experience was amazing, highly recommended to everyone who needs Lasik. I have been thinking about Lasik for almost 15 years. I finally went in for my consultation and I was sold immediately. The day of surgery was quick, easy and amazing! I was able to see immediately and was able to drive the following day for my follow up appointment. I had astigmatism in both eyes and my vision was -4. If I could put 0 stars I would. I showed up for my appointment 20 minutes early. They were handing me finance papers to fill out and I said I would pay cash. She immediately said the surgery is 2500 an eye. I asked how did she know, you haven't even looked at my eyes. I told her I was just getting an update. Ohhh she said then definitely 2500 an eye. I told her to forget it. I immediately call my doctor in Sacramento who did my first LASIK and he said it shouldn't cost any more than 500 to 750 an eye for an update. It's the morning after my procedure and I'm feeling very happy. Dr. Perry was great and the staff were all great too. I felt comfortable and welcome at all times. Dr. Earl did my initial evaluation and will do my followup in an hour - she is great. I had my consultation Tuesday and my procedure the next Thursday! The procedure wasn't quite what I expected but like many people say, not painful. Just uncomfortable and weird - it didn't help that I was very anxious. The rest of the evening, however, was painful - blurry, scratchy, watery at the same time they felt dry, hurty. This morning they feel great. A little scratchy like there's an eyelash in there, still a little foggy. I also have some bleeding in one eye, which is normal just freaky looking! Will update if I learn anything at my followup. However, overall I am extremely pleased to be seeing clearly without glasses and contacts. WORTH IT! Update: My vision is now 20/15. Could not be happier. It's now Day 2 after the procedure and my eyes feel great. I'm experiencing starbursts and glares at night but it should go away with time. But they look so pretty I'm enjoying them haha. read more

My experience has been amazing. My consultation was thorough and they scheduled my appointment for lasik the next week. Day of my procedure they checked my measurements once again. Everyone on staff was so kind the process was stress free. During the procedure they talked to me the entire time. They count down and let you know what's happening literally down to the second. Dr Gabriel Perry and his staff are top notch! I'm typing this less than 24 hours after my procedure and have my follow up in the morning. Dr. Perry and staff were all amazing. As of day 2 after the procedure my vision is 20/15 both eyes after having -8.0ish vision before. So happy I did it. Last night before bed the thought went through my head that I should take out my contacts to realize, I don't have to wear them anymore. Just recommend having a few ibuprofen immediately after the procedure and you'll be just fine. Right after there is no discomfort, but the numbing drops wear off quick. Trust me on this one. Dr. Perry performed my PRK procedure, and the whole process was painless. All the staff were really friendly. After the procedure, I felt a little bit irritated on my left eye and my vision was blurry which they told me it would be normal for PRK patients. But I can definitely see things much clear comparing to my old vision with -7.00 on both eyes. Overall, my experience with LasikPlus was awesome!! My husband had his procedure in 2012 and paid for the lifetime retreatment plan, what a joke! We called today to make an appointment and were given forms to complete that required us to go to another ophthalmologist for an exam, then submit those forms and wait 2-3 weeks for an answer as to whether he is eligible for retreatment, then pay another $75 fee for their exam to see if THEY think he is a candidate, which of course will be NO since they don't want to a FREE procedure. If you get the procedure, DON'T pay for the lifetime enhancements, they are useless. read more

I would love to give no stars, but that is obviously not an option. I had my appointment scheduled for 12/28. When I arrived, the young lady handed my two forms (1 which was a Care Credit application), never said anything to me. She then walked away from the desk and never came back. Finally Kelly, the technician, came to get me and I still had the forms that were initially given to me. We went to an exam room, she completed 2 procedures on me and proceeded to inform me that there was nothing wrong vision and all I needed to do was get a pair of readers and that it is very common as we age to need readers. She also kept repeating that the strength of the readers are based on a persons age. I explained to her that I have been wearing trifocals for more than 8 years. She asked to see my glasses and advised that all I have are readers. Left the appointment completely frustrated, scheduled two other consultations with other facilities, have had exams and have received the same diagnosis from those facilities which are completely different than this one. Are they hiring individuals that don't have any experience or was my procedure not going to be profitable enough for them? read more

This review is specific to the Chandler AZ location prescreening team and is NOT intended to reflect on Dr. Perry whatsoever, Dr. Perry was the ONLY ethical person I encountered during the entire process and the single reason I am giving a 2 star rating. In my initial contact with LasikPlus I was inquiring about the Pandora advertisement for $250 per eye and set up a "prequalification" appointment which took place a few days later, at the Chandler, AZ location. The entire process appeared to be positive, professional and although I didn't qualify for the "promotion" I was willing to accept and finance the $3700 procedure. My initial required down payment was $1000 and I scheduled the surgery 1 month out to give myself enough time to generate the investment. In my first appointment, I saw a tech, then a doctor (who was really sweet but did recognize that I had cataracts), a financial specialist (Also the receptionist) who assured me that the lasik was best option, despite the cataracts. She promised I would see better in every way the day after surgery, which was very motivating! After learning how cutthroat and deceptive this business can be from a professional sales perspective I called the "doctor". She had a great bedside manor and answered all of my questions, I trusted her motives and judgement, big mistake lol. read more

This is going to sound like a paid endorsement, and full-disclosure: they did offer a t-shirt in exchange for a review, but I opted out since it did not Spark Joy. I had LASIK yesterday morning, a procedure I've been mulling over for years. After researching countless doctors, I finally committed to the team at LasikPlus Chandler, which overlaps with LasikPlus Scottsdale where the procedure actually takes place. My reasons for picking them? Plentiful online reviews (of which I'm now contributing), and Dr. Perry's CV. This guy is impressive...he's done over 30k LASIK procedures since 1994, and he's been recognized as one of Phoenix's top physicians, as voted by other doctors. Friends, it was a flawless experience from start to finish. The pros: - All of the employees at both locations seemed legitimately happy to be there. This says a lot about the business. Everyone was knowledgeable, helpful, patient, and confident. - Both locations were sparkling clean. It was easy to see that someone put a lot of thought into making sure people were comfortable and reassured, based on the amenities alone. - The process was So. Freaking. Efficient. From making the first appointment, to getting post-opt directions...this company has it down like clockwork. - There was no rush. Everyone thoughtfully answered all of my questions, though I didn't have many since the process was so clearly outlined ahead of time. - The medical staff was fantastic! 1) Dr. Earl did my consult and follow up at the Chandler location, and she was wonderful! She gave me realistic expectations, and walked me through the pros and cons of various options. Very personable and friendly! 2) Dr. Earl and another doctor (whose name I missed), then did my pre-opt consult the day of my procedure. I probably had the lengthiest conversation with her and Dr. Earl in order to determine if I should do LASIK or PRK. This other doctor was also great...I trusted that she cared about my long term vision. It was a relaxed and thorough conversation. 3) Dr. Perry, the surgeon, was straight up awesome... concise in his communications, and I felt very assured in his expertise. He called me the night before and the evening after to see how I was doing and if I had any questions. When I didn't answer my phone on the second call, he left a voicemail with his cell phone number to call him back, if needed. 4) All of the support staff, from front desk to surgical assistants, were friendly and it was easy to tell that they knew exactly what they were doing. The cons: - N/A. Seriously. Notes: This has nothing to do with the company, but a tip I wish I had yesterday... you'll have your driver with you so that you can keep your eyes closed on the drive home after the procedure. I kept mine shut the entire ride (about 35 minutes), and ended up getting a bit car sick...nothing major, just moderate nausea. In retrospect, I wish I had grabbed a couple of the complimentary water bottles before I left the office. I think it would have helped. read more

I just had my LASIK done through LasikPlus and it was a great experience. Everyone was really friendly at the initial consultation and they were able to schedule the procedure for within the week. My boyfriend got lasik today and I'm pretty sure these eye sensitive tears are not only due to the recovery process, but also his surreal and genuine joy. We had a blast preparing for the lasik surgery with Chelsea and Dr. Perry. It was so interesting and exciting to watch the full surgery from a glass window. The doctor clearly knew what he was doing and had tons of confidence for everyone to watch person after person have the lasik done. What a life changing experience for everyone & it only took like 5 minutes! I saw a ton of joyous tears from families and friends while in the waiting room. I wanted to give it some time before I posted anything about my experience...now that I'm about 2 months post op, I feel comfortable giving an honest and subjective review. I could write far more than anyone would care to read on the whole process, but I'll try to keep it brief and stick to a few key points. For starters, I'm very happy with the results, my vision is excellent and just as good (if not slightly better than) it was when wearing my old contacts. The staff was great and Dr. Perry is clearly one of the best in AZ. Now, a few things I do want to mention that I wish I'd known prior to the surgery. 1.) Your recovery time, while advertised as "most people go back to work the next day", may vary...I was supposed to work the following night, but ended up calling out because I would not have been comfortable driving at night just yet. Immediately after the surgery, my eyes felt fine (obviously things were a little blurry), but by the time I got a few minutes away from the office my left eye started to really bother me. It felt extremely gritty, like someone had poured sand in my eye and there was nothing I could do about it. Super aggravating, moderately painful, and while it did feel better by the next morning, it was a LONG day/night of discomfort. For about a week and a half to two weeks, that eye specifically continued to feel like it had a foreign object (more like an eyelash) stuck in it. Eventually the sensation completely went away, but it was annoying to say the least. Personally, I would suggest taking AT LEAST two days off work post surgery. 2.) I would have appreciated a little more depth on the post-op instructions/guidelines. I learned a lot more about post-op general care by reading on the internet than the paragraph they provided, which was a little vague. 3.) My night vision took significantly longer to come back to pre-op levels than my daytime vision, although I was comfortable driving at night about 4-5 days after the surgery. And finally, 4.) Much like the majority of the medical field these days, you start to feel like just another number... volume is clearly a big factor in this industry and it didn't feel like a very "personal" experience, at times it felt a little rushed so they could move on to the next patient. Again, I'm happy to give them a 5 star rating because I ended up with excellent results, I have basically perfect vision without glasses or contacts, and I think Dr. Perry is very skilled at what he does. Are there some areas that they could make a few improvements? Sure, and I really hope they do. But I have no hesitation recommending them to family and friends who are considering this procedure (in fact, one of my friends has already gone in and had his done after I told him about my experience). read more
