I have yet to master the "selfie"; I cannot seem to capture one that does not show hints of my mother in my face. (No offence, Mom . . .) It has been nine months since my initial appointment with Dawn, seven-and-a-half months since my touch-up. And as one can see by the photos (which I only took at the time of writing this review), my eyebrows still look incredible. For the record, I am not wearing any makeup in these photos. My experience with Dawn was just great. She prepared me thoroughly for what to expect, and her salon is immaculate. She is incredibly professional, and epitomizes the definition of "perfectionist". I have been going back for years, but something annoying happened last time... I booked my tan for 11am, and I arrived at 11:07am (traffic was a little slower than usual). When I got there, the girl working the front desk stared at me really confused and asked what I needed. I told her I was here for my 11am spray tan. She said "Uh...well this is awkward...because...I gave your tan away to this girl because you were soooo late". Really? I wasn't even 10 mins late, and they had gotten another girl ready to go into the room to take my spot. I was very surprised because: a) I've been a couple of mins late before and it was never an issue b) I've NEVER been informed of any policy that said they give your spot away if you are 10 mins late (and like I said, I've been coming here for years) The girl who wanted my spray tan then asked me if she could take my spot since she was pressed for time. I told her my time was also valuable, hence why I BOOKED the spray tan because I had other things to get to that afternoon. She was not budging, and the girl at the front desk was rude to me the whole time, so I reluctantly agreed. I sat and waited for her tan to be done, so I could go after her. Funny thing was, that when the girl came out, she said the machine sprayed her weird. She told the girl at the front desk that her last cycle of spray she could not feel anything, and says she will likely get a splotchy tan because the last rotation didn't spray anything. The girl at the front desk totally downplayed it, and said likely it was just her imagination and that the machine worked fine. This made me nervous for my spray tan...I didn't wan an uneven tan either. So (finally) when it was my turn, I got in the machine and sure enough, the last rotation I could not feel any of the spray hitting my body. I told the girl at the desk just like the girl before me, but she just said not to worry about it. I will say that as the tan developed, it was MUCH more uneven on the side I didn't feel the spray, so in fact it was not just in our imagination. Hopefully the next time I come here to get a spray tan, I will be treated a little better, and the tan will be better quality (and the machine actually working properly).

It turned out that my hair had build up from previous colours, this my hairdresser figured out, once I had the treatment to correct this I was amazed at how soft my hair felt, it felt like my hair again, something I hadn't experienced for years! And the colour could now take to my hair and not go a weird colour for once. A great salon, relaxing friendly atmosphere. Great staff and owner. Thank you Heather!

I spent months growing out the most of the blond colouring I had been doing for many years. I was wanted to transition to more grey with some lowlights. Brought pictures of the cut and colour I wanted. When all was done I wasn't completely happy with cut or the lowlights being distributed properly, but decided to live with it for awhile so at next appointment I could tell the same senior stylist exactly what I wanted. So I paid and booked next appointment. When I went back I pointed out what I wanted done both cut and colour. She did not take this well and was taking it personally. I was quite taken aback. I expected a much more professional attitude. Her exact words were "I don't think I can help you because you obviously didn't like what I did" My question to her was, "so are you telling me you refuse to make the changes I have asked for, even though I am willing to pay for it? " she again refused. Very very unprofessional. After that I was done. The worst part was she was The Owner.
