In particular, Maria was really good! She was thorough, clean, kept me distracted (i informed her how sensitive i am in that area), and she accommodated my pain threshold somehow! The price is $50 for a brazilian wax, but students get 15% off so I ended up with a $48 bill, before tip. This is a little bit more expensive than what I'm used to in Toronto, but after the discount it's affordable, and for the quality and time spent I think it's worth it! Besides pedicures, which is what lured me in after a friend recommended them, they offer mani's, waxing, blow-outs, facials and a few other services (all well-detailed on their website). The staff are very friendly and helpful and I really enjoyed the quiet atmosphere of the place. I'd absolutely recommend Lush to anyone looking for good nail service in kingston. I received a cut and colour from a junior stylist, and instead of giving me dark brown like I asked, I ended up with a darker copper red! I didn't realize how red it actually was until I got home and looked at it under natural light so I called back immediately. The stylist basically accused me of trying to get freebies and said it was my fault for choosing the wrong sample. I went back to the salon when I got off the phone to talk to them, but the owners weren't in, only the staff. A more experienced stylist even told her right in front of me that she had mixed the dye incorrectly but no one offered to fix the mistake. Well they said I could come back in and pay full price haha, as if. The junior stylist spent the whole time angrily trying to make sure I was fully aware she wasn't giving me any "freebies." The experienced stylist even had to keep shushing her because she was yelling at me in front of other customers. Not sure if the owners are ever around or care, but it's a shame because I have always supported this business and never once had a problem with a cut or pedi/mani, and never had issues with any other staff member. This was the worst sugaring experience I ever had in my life. First time doing Brazilian in Canada…read moreand ended up BLEEDING on my most sensitive spot. I had an appointment with Sara. When I came in and undressed she didn't even sanitize the zone before applying sugar paste and went straight to the point. She was going in very quickly applying huge chunks of paste, ripping it on and not even putting a hand on the zone to calm down the pain. The whole Brazilian took her about 15 minutes and after extreme pain she said that I was done and gave me a rag to wipe the rest of the sugar. I was shocked that she didn't offer me any gel or cream after to calm down the area and when I wiped it, it was bleeding!!! In pain and in complete shock I went downstairs to tell this to receptionist on which I received an answer that it is completely normal because my hair follicles got pulled off but I NEVER had this effect back in Ukraine. Now I am in complete pain and they didn't offer me any solutions except "come back and try our laser package, it's much quicker and so convenient ". I paid 50 dollars for this....

When I've gone in, it was quiet, I was the only on in the salon He was detail oriented and patient, made some suggestions for colour and was spot on each time. Most recently, I got a french shellac manicure and it's been a week so far - with no incidents - I don't know about you, but in the past, my french manis haven't lasted 3 days, and i usually end up chipping my shellac in a week given how rough i am on my hands. I fully recommend going to Beauty Nail Salon fr you manicure needs!! Prices are quite fair and if you go around 4/5 you'll get one on one service! *update: have gotten a french shellac mani elsewhere since (I'm hard on my nails, and I have a week long meeting out of town and wanted a freshen up - they lasted 2 and a half weeks with serious use with NO CHIPS and NO PEELING!) my new manicure does not even compare to what the gentleman at Beauty Nail Salon did.
