I genuinely like this place but the last 2 times I went there I got an Ingrown toe nail from a pedicure and they could not get what I wanted right. I wanted the bio gel and they almost gave me shellac and then acrylic. Good thing my friend caught that bc I wasn't paying attention. Other than that most of them are very friendly and It's a really nice place. read more

I would not recommend you get dip nails done here. I got my nails done 2 days ago and the polish that they put on top of the 2 thin layers of clear dip powder is already peeling. My usual place does 3-4 layers and they use the powder colour that I choose. Lan nails insisted on using a clear dip powder and then just applying a colour polish coat on top. A waste of $55, I'll need to get it fixed elsewhere this week. I don't live in Kingston. read more

I see Henry at Lans Nails and he is skilled and polite. I love my nails and he does the best pedicure as well. I usually go for deluxe. it is a bit more but feels amazing. read more

Incredible service! I got a biogel fill from Nancy this morning and she was amazing. She catered to my concerns so nicely about my previous set, and completely redid them with a discount! Nancy was very attentive, professional, and I will be requesting her every time I go back. The vibe of Lans is always clean and professional too! read more

I drive from NY to get my nails done here. The tech is always very gentle, which I greatly appreciate. I have been to others where they are so rough the entire experience is bad. They always offer you a drink whether you want water or a mimosa. The environment is relaxing and my nails always look absolutely great. I typically get just regular toe polish.. no shellac and no fake nails-- so can't attest to those- but what I get is worth driving here for. read more

I went for a new set and Timmy gave me really cute fun nails. He brought me a drink and a snack and he was super polite. I had a pleasant experience and will be going back again soon read more

After being a long-term customer, I finally decided to stop wasting my money here. Never mind booking an appointment - you will still be required to wait 40 minutes each time. In addition to that, you don't always get the person you booked in. I went right before new years and this place was fully packed. The poor workers had been so overworked that the gentlemen who did my nails had to take a break in the middle of doing my nails because he was sweating. I took my daughter to get a mani and pedi (paid $71) and I got a mani and paid (paid $121). My daughters nails (shellac) only lasted 3 DAYS. My nails were also not done properly. I sent a message to the salon and offered me a 20% discount for next time - for which I do not feel was enough personally. When I told them this, they said that we could just come back to get them redone. However, since the last few times we had to wait 40 minutes and it takes me one hour to drive in, I would be loosing out by then to only have the same thing happen again. When I asked for a PARTIAL refund, she said they could not do a refund since it is a physical product. For which it is not true. Do no waste your time and most importantly your money. I tried giving them the opportunity to work through this but instead they tried to ignore my messages until I asked for a follow up. read more

My $45 shellac manicure chipped in less than a week! The guy working on my nails couldn't understand what I was saying and was doing a terrible job filing my nails. Completely crooked. I literally had to pick up the file and do it myself. Lazy place & employees. Save your $. read more

After recently moving to Kingston I was nervous to try a new nail salon. I don't understand the negative reviews under this place because they were incredible! The only criticism I have is the wait time for walk ins is a little long but that isn't the fault of the staff and they did their best to accommodate both me and my friend for walking in. They did an amazing job on both my pedicure and manicure, made sure we were comfortable and even offered us free candy in the middle of our services! Everyone was very friendly and I will be returning! read more

The pedicure was nice but they absolutely butchered my gel nails. She didn't do my cuticles and cut my nails so they were raised off my fingers. Have never had such bad f read more

I was dumb and decided it would be a good idea to try Lans nails on bath road and queen Mary strip. I arrived at 2:25 pm today, I finally got in a seat at 3, as it was busy I was going to leave, as soon as I got up to leave is when they made me sit. I was upset and the shape of my nails wasn't looking good at the start and I said I only have to tips can I like leave I don't my nails done here. She's like "I just need to know if you want gel or acrylic" she was pushing gel really hard and I didn't have the money today and she wouldn't stop, she said if you break 2 or 3 gel nails we will fix them for free. Acrylic cost money. I got acrylic because that's what I wanted and could afford. A lady later came in with one broken gel nail and she only have them 3 days, I was curious and asked because I knew she was lying. They put glue in the crack and too coat. It didn't cost her but she has a huge crack in her nail. When she told me If I got gel and broke 2 Or 3 she would fix the whole nails. I told her when filing them first time round the ring finger was going to fall off because she was pulling it. She said "no no" then it fell off. If I know more about her job then she does. She should absolutely not be working there. The lady doing my nails was absolutely rude. I am here right now asking for them to be shaped at least better. I am very upset with the whole experience. They just "fixed" them. Shaped them a bit better. But didn't clean off the shavings and left them dirty. They are all bent out wards. I went home and tried to shape them, they look better but I shouldn't have to go in twice, pay 50$+ to have to go home and spend 20 mins to fix them. But they can't be saved and I think it's digusting that Lan let this happen, as after I posted about it on Facebook everyone said she would Help. I went back and I was Treated just as poorly. I truly Believe after I said no to gel and got mad because I wanted to leave they did my nails poorly in spite. Little do they know I'm not stupid and I know the worth and quality of nails I should be receiving in a place that is charging me that money. The whole this was unprofessional, as I have heard some better places after posting my reviews I will Never go there again and I 100000% do NOOOTTTT recommend going there. I have never felt the need to write a review on here or any where else, and this is my first time. But this needs to be heard. It was disturbing the way they treated me. read more

Gorgeous interior design and set up. The staff is friendly and communicates well. Loved that they could actually sit me and my mom together when getting pedicures and manicures, other Salons I have attended separated us making the experience quite boring. Good technique and foot rub on the pedicure, very cleanly tools and seating. Would definitely return and recommend to anyone who is looking for quality service. Ps. They give out free full size chocolate bars and serve beverages! read more

They do a great job but their customer service is terrible. If you don't mind getting treated poorly for an hour but walk out with great nails, I recommend this place! read more

I visit Kingston regularly and this place came recommended by a friend. It was great! The staff are friendly, joke with you and also do a great job. The place is clean and relaxing. As a bonus, I was offered chocolate and coffee or tea! Clearly they know the way to my heart! I will be getting my nails done in Kingston from now on! read more

I was referred here from my hair salon, and what a great referral! As soon as I walked in I was greeted, my nail technician was friendly and easily started conversation with me. It was easy to see that not only did she enjoy her work, but she was detailed and skilled. It has been 3 weeks and my shellac nails are still almost perfect (simply a bit grown out now)! Additionally, i was promptly offered a beverage and a treat. What a great experience! read more

Do NOT get your acrylics done here. There is a language barrier, preventing you from understanding them, and in turn, preventing them from understanding you. I asked for white ballerina/coffin nails, and instead got wide, fat, thick and square PURPLE nails. This also can't be completely chalked up to the language barrier, as I showed my nail tech a picture of what I wanted! Will not be coming back. read more
