This is my first experience of getting waxed outside of Toronto in Canada, and I was really happy to find such good service in Kingston! The salon was clean, albeit a little bit small. In particular, Maria was really good! She was thorough, clean, kept me distracted (i informed her how sensitive i am in that area), and she accommodated my pain threshold somehow! The price is $50 for a brazilian wax, but students get 15% off so I ended up with a $48 bill, before tip. This is a little bit more expensive than what I'm used to in Toronto, but after the discount it's affordable, and for the quality and time spent I think it's worth it! Will be back here again, and highly recommend it!

Appointments should be booked in advance - they will happily take walk-in's, but it's more likely you'll need to book and come back a little later on, anyway. Besides pedicures, which is what lured me in after a friend recommended them, they offer mani's, waxing, blow-outs, facials and a few other services (all well-detailed on their website). The staff are very friendly and helpful and I really enjoyed the quiet atmosphere of the place. I'd absolutely recommend Lush to anyone looking for good nail service in kingston. Prices are reasonable, but do note - Students and Military get awesome discounts, so that should make it even more enticing!

They are more short than I asked for so much so that you can barely tell they are acrylics. I also asked for the coffin shape and it doesn't look like they are. Some are very pointy and some are very rounded. Also on the board of prices it says that a full set of acrylics is $35 plus HST but somehow when we got to to pay it turned out to $55. So although my nail tech was friendly and talkative and they made us an appointment very last minute, I will not go here again.

This was the worst sugaring experience I ever had in my life. First time doing Brazilian in Canada…read moreand ended up BLEEDING on my most sensitive spot. I had an appointment with Sara. When I came in and undressed she didn't even sanitize the zone before applying sugar paste and went straight to the point. She was going in very quickly applying huge chunks of paste, ripping it on and not even putting a hand on the zone to calm down the pain. The whole Brazilian took her about 15 minutes and after extreme pain she said that I was done and gave me a rag to wipe the rest of the sugar. I was shocked that she didn't offer me any gel or cream after to calm down the area and when I wiped it, it was bleeding!!! In pain and in complete shock I went downstairs to tell this to receptionist on which I received an answer that it is completely normal because my hair follicles got pulled off but I NEVER had this effect back in Ukraine. Now I am in complete pain and they didn't offer me any solutions except "come back and try our laser package, it's much quicker and so convenient ". I paid 50 dollars for this....

I would not recommend you get dip nails done here…read more I got my nails done 2 days ago and the polish that they put on top of the 2 thin layers of clear dip powder is already peeling. My usual place does 3-4 layers and they use the powder colour that I choose. Lan nails insisted on using a clear dip powder and then just applying a colour polish coat on top. A waste of $55, I'll need to get it fixed elsewhere this week. I don't live in Kingston.

It turned out that my hair had build up from previous colours, this my hairdresser figured out, once I had the treatment to correct this I was amazed at how soft my hair felt, it felt like my hair again, something I hadn't experienced for years! I spent months growing out the most of the blond colouring I had been doing for many years. I was wanted to transition to more grey with some lowlights. Brought pictures of the cut and colour I wanted. When all was done I wasn't completely happy with cut or the lowlights being distributed properly, but decided to live with it for awhile so at next appointment I could tell the same senior stylist exactly what I wanted. So I paid and booked next appointment. When I went back I pointed out what I wanted done both cut and colour. She did not take this well and was taking it personally. I was quite taken aback. I expected a much more professional attitude. Her exact words were "I don't think I can help you because you obviously didn't like what I did" My question to her was, "so are you telling me you refuse to make the changes I have asked for, even though I am willing to pay for it? " she again refused. Very very unprofessional. After that I was done. The worst part was she was The Owner.
