I pulled a number and I waited 45 minutes without my number getting called and had to finally leave, as it was a weekday and I had a work meeting at 1 pm. The second time, I arrived again on a weekday, this time on a Tuesday at 7:20ish. There were at least 9 people ahead of me and I immediately asked the threaders, 'do I have a chance?' Their policy states that last call is 7:45. The threaded responded 'yeah you do.' I had my ticket in hand and went to a store nearby. I returned before closing and there were still customers in the chairs having their brows threaded. It was minutes before closing at 8 and as mentioned, there were still women being threaded. I came with my number and the threaders now stated 'no we aren't taking anyone.' When I reiterated what I was told just some minutes before, they said 'you have to wait here.' I was in absolute shock. There is no sign written that you must wait there after you have already pulled a number for your spot in line. There was no notice of this when I had just spoken to the threaders when I asked if I had a chance. This felt like a convenient excuse in the moment. Only come here if you have 2 hours for your commute and to sit and stare at all of the other people waiting in line for an hour before your turn comes.

Pang took the time to look at my eye shape, tell me what type of curl she suggests and why, and just took the time to guide me through all of my choices. The lashes she uses are not super synthetic looking (like many places I've seen and have been been to) and look like natural lashes. I decided not to get a fill to see how long they would last and it was about a month before my eyelashes started looking really sad. The space was cozy, simple and clean. Her space is located within minutes of my house and office, super convenient and central to so many. My first impression of Mya was that this is a serious businesswoman...someone who will appreciate her customers and their time. Fantastic online scheduling system-you can schedule four months in advance! Saturday appointments! You can tell Mya is very intuitive with her customers' needs. Her table is super comfortable, the music is a great mix. She uses gel eye patches to protect delicate undereye skin (very important for women of a certain age. Ahem.)
