I had to cancel an appointment with 8 hours notice. Now, I wish it was because I was taking a beautiful all expenses vacay and well, gosh, just forgot the day I had the appointment. But no. I had a friend pass away from cancer yesterday-- only a year older than me with two young kids. They will not see another holiday with their mom, my friend. Not to mention, I have a very sick pet family member who needed to be seen by an emergency vet twice this week. Both have exhausted me financially, emotionally, psychologically, and physically. Probably not the best time to get your LASHES filled when you can't stop crying and your eyes are puffy? I don't know. Not a lash expert. Long story short. She wanted to charge me the full price for the appointment and I'm NOT okay with that--- I would have happily paid her for her NON time at half price... a luxury I wish I could demand when LIFE happens of my customers. In Castle Rock I have been to Floyds, Cost Cutters, Great Clips, etc. And, although I might have gotten a cheap hair cut, I never got one that either my wife or I liked; and let's face it, she has to be happier with the way I look than I do. Enter Bull Locks. My first trip there convinced my wife that I should return: and return I have. A friend of mine swears they aren't a "real" barbershop because he has to call in advance to make sure the person he likes is available. He says "I just want some crusty old guy that is always at the ready." But, for me? I don't mind calling a day or two in advance to get a great haircut at a good price.

When I arrived for the correction appointment I told Valerie that I was back to have it fixed & she immediately became defensive! First she said "Well, you said you liked the color!" I replied... "Yes, I like the color but want it closer to my roots, not an inch away." She then told me it could be fixed however I would need to pay additional dollars. Hair dresser/Erin ended up fixed my hair & basically filled the one inch gap for a six day old highlight & then charged me an additional $15.00. Customers shouldn't have to pay additional dollars to have their hair fixed for something that should have been done right the first time! All of the employees were very kind and courteous to me. The pedicure chair was very easy for me to get in and out of with the help of the girl doing my nails. I may have chose the wrong color but that was my mistake because the girl asked if I liked the color after she put it on my first nail. It doesn't matter though because no one sees my feet but my husband. Then I went up front for my manicure with the help of my nail tech. She did a beautiful job and I love my manicure! I wanted a cross painted on my left hand, ring finger which I always have. There was a little discussion about how to do it. After looking at pictures 2 of the male techs tried. The one man that tried the second time did "exactly" what I wanted. The best cross I've ever had because it looks like a crown on the top of the cross. I wish I had got their names but it doesn't really matter because every employee in the shop was so polite and professional. I see this as being my new nail salon.

First time there and I had to ask how to select my polish as no one even asked what I wanted. I had booked a deluxe pedi and mani with Kim online. Said my service would take 1 hour and 15 mins. My entire service took 49 minutes. It was so rushed, there was no relaxing. The lady was so distracted she only massaged my left leg, and I'm not exaggerating when I say the hot towel touched my leg for 5 seconds. Hovering over the chair for my mani she missed filing the corners smooth (see photo). Then we were told to get up and pay now. I had to go home and file my own nails after. Not worth the $115 (I did tip 20%). Lesson learned and I won't go back.
