She heard my concerns and understood my worries. I originally wanted to get microblading but she doesn't provide that service so I settled for the tinted brows which looks wayyyyy more natural than microblading. It's been 3 days and my lashes look like it's half way through week two already. They charge $160 for classic which is the basic set. It's overpriced for sure. Jay took one look at my eyes and lashes she knew it was either the "glue" or "lashes" that caused the bad reaction. After removing the lashes, she says it most likely was the glue and lashes. The lashes were poor in quality. I informed her I was looking for more of a natural look . I was told by lash wearers that the "mink" lashes were BEST. The lashes the tech used were not "Mink". Per Jay, the prior tech did a good job but the supplies used were not good. Informed Jay if I decide to get lashes again I will certainly book with her. The location of this Lash Bar is convenient to my home and the prices are reasonable. The interior of the salon is cute. It's located in an office park shared with other businesses. I arrived 10 minutes early was told she was finishing up w/another customer. I was called back 5 min after my arrival. So she's prompt w/appointments if you're concerned about time. Since I was getting lash removal, she had to apply the removal which is recommended to soak or marinate for 30 minutes. This breaks down the glue for easy removal. She definitely made my day better. I was afraid my lashes would come off but they were in tact and she complimented them as "healthy". . She suggested I wait maybe a couple of weeks to try it again or whenever I'm comfortable. This is hands down the worst experience I've had with any business - EVER!! Confused and honestly concerned, I walked next door to the nail salon to see if anyone knew what was going on. Yes, MILLY, the actual person that was supposed to do my lashes was getting her nails done instead of being at the lash studio for my 4p appt! UNPROFESSIONAL!!!! I asked what was going on, why the door was locked and why she wasn't at our scheduled appointment. Her response? That the receptionist supposedly tried to call me, but my number was disconnected. Flat-out lie. And even if that were true, which it's not, why would she just leave without waiting to see if I showed up? I was on time! She made zero effort to fix the situation. No apology. No offer to reschedule. Nothing. Just MAJOR ATTITUDE, UNPROFESSIONALISM, and excuses. I told her that would be contacting the owner. She said: I don't care. I arrived a few minutes early to let her know my boss couldn't attend and I was there in her place. After rescheduling for a new appointment, I let her know I was ready for the application instead. I was told this was a problem and although I showed up for the scheduled appointment, she had a waitlist of neighbors that were waiting to have their lashes done instead. Even after explaining we were first time customers and no one was aware of her policy, she still turned me away. Honestly, it made it seem as if she just didnt want to do my lashes, or maybe I wasnt the 'type' of person she liked applying lashes on. As a business owner that was VERY UNPROFESSIONAL OF HER. The appointment was made and should have been honored. What if my boss was surprising me and this was a gift? What if she booked the appointment in her name, but really it was for me all along?? Because our names didnt match or we didnt look alike, I would get turned away from services? Whatever the case may be, as the Office Manager for a VERY busy company in North Georgia, I definitely know unprofessionalism when I see it, and in no way would I handle any of our customers in that manner.
