My boss had an appointment that she…read morewas unable to attend, and asked me to come in her place so that the business owner would not lose money in her absence, and also so I can let her know a review on how the eyelash application went and felt upon completion. I arrived a few minutes early to let her know my boss couldn't attend and I was there in her place. After rescheduling for a new appointment, I let her know I was ready for the application instead. I was told this was a problem and although I showed up for the scheduled appointment, she had a waitlist of neighbors that were waiting to have their lashes done instead. Even after explaining we were first time customers and no one was aware of her policy, she still turned me away. Honestly, it made it seem as if she just didnt want to do my lashes, or maybe I wasnt the 'type' of person she liked applying lashes on. As a business owner that was VERY UNPROFESSIONAL OF HER. The appointment was made and should have been honored. What if my boss was surprising me and this was a gift? What if she booked the appointment in her name, but really it was for me all along?? Because our names didnt match or we didnt look alike, I would get turned away from services? Whatever the case may be, as the Office Manager for a VERY busy company in North Georgia, I definitely know unprofessionalism when I see it, and in no way would I handle any of our customers in that manner. Especially when its unwarranted. Maybe I should have told her that I am also a makeup artist and was in the same industry as her, excited to try something new. Would that have changed her mind? Smh

5 minutes ago New I…read morecame to have eyelash extensions removed and the tech was very aggressive on my eyes and eyelashes. I told her several times that whatever solution she was using was burning and that it was hurting. She continued to remove the lashes with tweezers and an unknown solution. I am back now, the following morning to ask what solution was used so that I never come here again or have this mistake made elsewhere and the lady at the front almost refused to show me what was used. She kept going back and forth with me, asking why I needed to see what was used. I told her so that I can go to the eye doctor because my eyes are still irritated and hurting today. She goes into a room, and comes out with a cream remover and would not show me the box it came in and said it's "their" brand. I believe she showed me something completely different than what was used to remove my lash extensions, but I will never return. I would be weary of coming here as they did not use safe sanitation practices and are shady. $36 for lash removal and most likely now have an eye infection and possible chemical injury. I have never had pain or burning like I did yesterday with lash removal. These women do not care about client care or comfort. Would not recommend coming here for lash application or removal. Rude, unprofessional and unsafe!

Coutur Eye is located in the office buildings off of Satellite Blvd in Duluth, across from QT and Shane's Co. While the exterior, looking like law offices, is a bit odd/off from your expectation of a lash shop, inside is very cozy. Make sure to make an appointment in advance as they book up pretty quickly. (Note, they do take your credit card information over the phone to charge your $5 cancellation/late fee.) I was lucky to have gotten an appointment within couple of days as Brandi (I believe is the owner as well) was available if I was okay to have students watching her do magic on my lashes. It ended up being only 1 student watching and I actually enjoyed her instructions as it was my very first time getting my lashes done and was informative. They have about 5 rooms where you lie down on a tattoo chair for an hour and close your eyes while they glue the lashes. Being my first time, I did 2D mink, which is essentiallly gluing 2 extensions to each of your original lashes. While my lashes are long, they're straight and never gave me the volumous look and the results were magical! It was $70 today, but not sure on the costs for fillers especially I think I wanna go for 3D next time. Either way, I don't think you can beat the price anywhere else! Other than minor pokes here and there, the experience was flawless and would definitely recommend Coutur Eye!

I made an appointment at the end of July. I arrived early, and there's a sign at the door asking customers to text a number when they arrive. They will text back when the tech is ready. I went back to my car for a few minutes until I received a text. The beauty bar is salon is pretty big and sectioned by different services. For example, the hair salon is on one side and has a different entrance. The brow bar's entrance is behind the building. The space is beautiful, clean and welcoming. Eden introduced herself and took me to her room. She went over the process before getting started. I don't have any tattoos, so I was terrified to say the least, but Eden was very patient. She helped calm my nerves and assure me that it will be virtually painless. And it was! She used a numbing cream and I barely felt anything. The process took a little over an over and I am SO happy with my brows! I couldn't stop looking in the mirror. I went back a couple months later for my touch up and asked Eden to add blending. She had originally suggested it at my first appointment, but I thought I just wanted microblading. She was right and I should have listened in the first place. I am so grateful for Eden for giving the brows I've always wanted! Splendid Beauty Bar is over an hour away from me and totally worth the drive.
