Mikaela did my lashes and she is a magician! She took her time with me and answered all of my questions. I chose the "gorgeous" lashes option and I so SO happy with the results! In the past, my lashes have always lasted around 6 weeks - that's longer than they advertise, but I also take a lot of care to not run my eyes. Rude and Unaccountable Manager Lindsey at Amazing Lash Studio Shadow Creek (Pearland)…read more I've been a loyal customer at Amazing Lash Studio on Business Center Drive in Pearland for over 7 years, paying $180 monthly for eyelash extensions. The high stylist turnover--due to poor treatment of staff--has forced me onto a new stylist every couple of years. All three of my stylists have since left and are now working co-own a successful studio, Star Lash & Brow. My most recent stylist , Vy and before that was Xuan ,and Moon quit due to ongoing issues with the manager. Specific incidents with manager Lindsey: * My last appointment on Dec 22 was canceled without proper notice. They claimed a text was sent, but it went to my old phone number (unused for over a year), even though they've successfully sent reminders to my current number every two weeks for that same period. This felt deliberate and avoidable. When I addressed it, manager Lindsey was rude and condescending, saying it's 'not her problem' and that they simply deactivate stylists who leave, leaving customers like me in the lurch. No apology, no accommodation--just an offer to see yet another new stylist. When I called after no confirmation text, staff refused to have Lindsey contact me, Lindsey told me she "doesn't handle customer issues on her day off." * In person, she condescendingly printed "proof" of the text and asked, "Can you read?" No apology for the error--instead, she said she "can't take responsibility for her staff's mistakes." * Months earlier, after I incurred a cancellation fee, I politely asked her to waive it as a courtesy for my long-term loyalty. She flatly refused and told me, "If you don't like the policy, you can go elsewhere." I stayed because of Vy, but Lindsey seemed displeased with my response. This location shows no regard for employees or loyal customers, resulting in constant disruptions and poor service. After years of patience, Ii have cancel my membership and following my talented stylists Vy, Xuan and her sister Moon to Star Lash and Brow. Star Lash and Brow in Pearland. They could not produce the cancellation papers and ANA kept telling me I didn't have five credits. This business has shady practices. If you decide to risk being a customer, always ask for copies of any paperwork you sign, and always have your credits in writing if you decide to do the membership. I ended up paying the $109.99, but I will never come back to this business. They lost a good customer because they can't keep track of customers' paperwork or credits, and on top of it, called the police on me when they didn't give me all the credits I was due. I feel bad for my lash stylist who got caught in the middle. But I don't feel bad walking away from the bad business practices and the poor customer service. Just don't come here. Don't let them tell you lies and call the police on you when you try to stand up for yourself.

Why I went back, I question every day. She doesn't change the sheets between clients, she offers a blanket every time that I know is not washed between clients, so I decline. She doesn't leave her chair when she calls her next client into her station. I'm not sure how she has time to sterilize her equipment; therefore, I don't think she does. This last time I went to her, I got a horrible infection that resulted in my eyelashes falling out. I have no eye eyelashes! The pain was unbelievable, so much so that I almost went to the emergency room. I couldn't sleep, my eyes were red and felt like they were bulging out of my head! I went to my eye doctor twice and thank goodness my eyes are okay and I'm grateful for that. However, I have no eyelashes! I questioned her in the past about the eye infections I've had and questioned her about her sterilization procedures. In her broken English, she told me she does sterilize between clients. I do not believe that she sterilizes her tools. I've have two friends who have also gotten eye infections from her. One day as I was waiting for my appointment, a lady was checking out and questioning the receptionist as to why her eyes have been so itchy and red the last time she got her eyelash extensions. That should've been my clue, amongst others, to not return. When I go to my nail salon, they open a package of tools that have been through a sterilization process. Hannah's business does not do that! Shame on me for returning and I learned my lesson the hard way. She did return my money, including my tip and offered me free eyelash extensions when my eyelashes grow back, really? I will never get eyelash extensions again. I'm grateful that my eyes were not permanently damaged. My eyelashes will grow back, but I will never get eyelash extensions again. Please be aware that it appears that Hannah is violating health codes. I have notified the health department. She could truly damage someone's eyes permanently! It's just not worth the risk. Hopefully she will get a violation and get her act together by changing the sheets between clients, bringing a new blanket in each time a client walks into her station and properly sterilizes her tools with the proper sterilization equipment. This is a disaster waiting to happen... I was lucky there was only my eye eyelashes and my eyesight was not damaged. Hannah, I've seen that you have responded to others who have given you a low rating. Don't you dare respond to this one with any excuses. Hopefully the health department will be knocking on your door any day now. I would suggest that you get your act together and sterilize your equipment and change the sheets! That's disgusting!
