I was incredibly fortunate to sit in on a 30-minute session with Buddy's physical therapist, Josh from Doghouse Rehab, and I can't say enough good things about the experience. Josh's knowledge, tenderness, and genuine passion were immediately clear. Not only was I impressed by his skill and calm presence, but Buddy's owner couldn't stop raving about the progress Buddy has made in his mobility since working with Josh. The results spoke for themselves. What truly stood out to me was how much extra time Josh took to work with me -- carefully teaching me exercises and techniques so I could continue supporting Buddy safely and correctly between sessions. That level of care and collaboration is rare and deeply appreciated. Watching someone with such expertise help a family and their dog navigate a very difficult time was truly heartwarming. I will absolutely be referring Doghouse Rehab to any of my clients who may benefit from mobility support or physical rehabilitation for their pets. Highly recommend.

I initially took him to another therapist in Valley Village, but my dog was so anxious the ride there and at the clinic, there was no way I could take him back. That's when I found Josh who does in-home therapy. His pricing was around the same as the other spot, if not better! Because his session lasts 45 min to an 1 hr, I could be with my dog during the session and I don't have to drive anywhere. He also provides discounted pricing if you book 10 sessions. From the start my dog lovedddd Josh! A lot can be said, when your dog is in love with a complete stranger! Josh is very kind, gentle, communicative and does all types of therapy depending on the progress. Within those 10 sessions in a span of 3 months, along with vet prescribed medication, my dog is now able to walk around the whole block without a carrier now! Thank you so much to Josh for helping Peanut get back on his 4 little legs!

She not only welcomed us in with open arms, but she made sure that we and my dog, Mojo, were comfortable before she began. She was calm, caring, and genuine throughout the entire appointment and really explained all our options and what she was doing thoroughly. She started with gently feeling his body and assessing it, quickly noticing that his spine was probably causing him some pain. We moved onto acupuncture, where she explained all the points that she was doing and how it would benefit him. She also had some treats readily available to distract him as the needles were going in! After about 7-9 minutes, you can visibly see Mojo just... relax. Completely calm. Not squirming or fidgeting. It was honestly like magic. She was able to do cold laser therapy while the needles were in and then she whipped out KT tape.. Which I didn't even know you could do on animals! As she taped his spine, she gave us instructions on how to help him up the stairs and to lower his pain in his hind legs. She also suggested that we start cooking his meals as well with turkey and some sweet potato. After she taped him up, we carried him out to the car where he immediately took a little nap. While we were in the car, she came out with a lot of medicine for him to take for his nausea, alongside some inflammatory medicine and Chinese herbs. Within a few hours of taking the Cerenia that she gave us, he was able to keep food down (which hadn't happened for about 4 days before this, he was throwing up everything he ate). Not only that, he was able to sleep without any disturbance and seemed incredibly relaxed. Dr. Bertolone treated us with kindness and genuinely cared for him. We will always be indebted and appreciative to her and cannot express the amount of gratitude we have for her. She is undoubtedly one of the best veterinarians that we've ever encountered.

Christy's massage techniques are able to calm my anxious little chihuahua mix! Both women have given him laser treatments that will hopefully build up both of his back legs. They certainly seem to relax him. Bruno was initially quite unhappy in the hydrotherapy. But he is now water-walking 5 minutes! This is due in no small part to the Zen Den staff. The facility itself is clean, quiet and even when multiple animals come in at the same time, it feels soothing and peaceful. So although we are there to rehab Bruno, it is also a pleasant experience for me! I understand why so many dog people give Zen Den high marks. Not only is it one-of-a-kind in the Antelope Valley, but it is also a clinically sound and helpful place with knowledgeable, caring people. From a purely practical perspective, the prices at Zen Den are more than fair. And if necessary, they have a payment plan that can be utilized so that your furry baby can feel better. I give Zen Den an A+++!

Over the past few months, my dog has been doing physical therapy with Christy, including water therapy and laser treatments. The improvement has been incredible. I cannot recommend ANYONE go here as long as these two people are here. Dr. Zieve needs to take "small mammals" off her list of creatures she treats. She knew absolutely nothing about hamsters and yet pretended she knew more than me and even argued with me about what I knew to be true. We came in after my Syrian hamster hadn't come out of his burrow for two days. We got an emergency appointment for $230 and they for some god forsaken reason assigned Dr. Zieve and her team to my case. My first immediate red flags that I wish I listened to were that after examining him she came in talking about the two spots on his sides telling me how she thought they were cancerous masses and wanted us to test them for a couple hundred dollars. WHEN IS CANCER EVER SYMMETRICAL?? I then proceeded to tell her that those were his SCENT GLANDS and she ARGUED with me saying that no his scent glands were in a different spot. IT TAKES ONE QUICK GOOGLE SEARCH TO KNOW THAT THESE ARE TYPICAL SYRIAN HAMSTER SCENT GLANDS. After that she also said she was concerned that he had a heart problem because she heard clicking. He MAKES those sounds whenever he's handled because he is VOCALIZING his ANNOYANCE. I knew that the clicking she heard was probably just that so once again we did not pay $425 for an X-ray of his heart. The next thing she said was that he had discharge coming from his penis. I never saw any discharge there, but we thought maybe she looked in deeper and we agreed to put him on antibiotics and painkillers, as well as start syringe feeding him. They also gave him an IV for $75. He was struggling with his feedings and looked like he was in pain after. We brought him in for his check up and told them everything that was going on and they told us to increase his feeding. Even though I had told them it was hurting his stomach. They also still wanted to biopsy his "cancerous masses" we told them to please look at his penis again to check if the antibiotics were even doing anything and they didn't bother, they just gave us a new painkiller that wouldn't bother his stomach as much as they thought that was why he was having pain even though he was still showing these signs after we stopped giving him the painkiller. He continued to lose weight and we found a lump on his face after he had lost a significant amount of hair and thought we finally found the cause. We scheduled an appointment, this time with Dr. Kanfer as we found from their virus of a website (by the way their website acts as a virus, don't open it. we managed to get information about the doctors out of it through breaking down the code for it) that she was the only one specialized in rodents and abscesses. Dr. Kanfer could immediately tell what was going on. I felt like he was FINALLY looked at properly. But it was too late. Dr. Kanfer didn't want to do a bunch of unnecessary tests like Dr. Zieve did which I was grateful for. We did an ultrasound for $105 and they found a tumor but he started gasping for air and they put him on oxygen. He passed after an hour. After grieving him for awhile the nurse with the Spanish accent came in and left the door wide open. We asked for paw prints to be taken and she picked him up like he was some object and used way too much force on his paws, it looked like she was crushing him and the prints didn't even come out good. She then put him in his "coffin" (as the very nice receptionist called it) and shoved it to us like it was some package, saying "here's your box". Very cold and matter of factly. She lacked so much empathy and professionalism that is required of this job she should honestly be fired. Thank you Dr. Kanfer and the team that helped on the last day. F everyone else. The one star is for Dr. Kanfer who I would give five to.

He received necessary procedures including blood transfusion to stabilize his condition. I did not want to leave him at ER for more tests and observations because I have never had any pets survived ER stays alive. We did receive medications from ER which seemed to be working and were told that he needed medical attention in order to survive. Since his regular vet was helpless, I decided to look into alternatives. I found this place on Yelp with raving reviews, and like most pet owners in desperate situations, I decided to give it a try. I first spoke with I believe her name was Lyric. She was very charming and well spoken, and made an appointment immediately. I also recieved a call from Yael after I emailed over my cat's medical records and was told that she thinks my cat simply had urinary track infection and she can help. During our visit, Yael and Lyric worked together and performed a basic exam, then I was told that we need a biofeedback scan which will tell us exactly what's going on. This " procedure " consist of sticking two wet pads somewhere on the underside of my cat, and the wires connected the wet pads to a laptop which supposedly would feed all the information to a program. I thought that seemed overly simple, but I was in a state of panic, I chose to believe it's some advanced science that I didn't understand. I was told that they will rush the result but it will be later that evening or next day. Then Yael proceeded to prescribe a list of remedies which is mostly supplements including a gar of homemade yogurt. The visit, including all the remedies I was told were necessary, came to just under $700. They also only accept cash or Zelle payments, no credit cards. The instruction I was given was to stop the medicationd from ER immediately and only take what was prescribed by Yael, and I did. At home, shortly after I gave my cat what Yael prescribed, he started vomiting violently and was visibly weaker. I call and told Yael what was happening and was met with loud, non-stop yelling, telling me that her remedies were right and I must follow her instructions. The biofeedback report showed pages of colorful breakdown and included readings of "pepsine secretion coefficient" and "small intestine peristalsis function" values, plus "protien metabolism value", "liver fat content value", plus kidney, lung function analysis, even blood circulation system analysis, etc. This program of theirs can read all these from two wet pad sticked to the skin of my cat? I ultimately decided to consult with a licensed vet, and luckily I found Dr. Sharp from a referral, and my cat's conditions improved without complications within days at a quarter of the cost. He is healthy and happy today. As pet parents, we are vulnerable to be taken advantage of when our pets become critically ill. I hope my experience is helpful to anyone in similar situation and can make proper decisions for both your pets and you.

During an electro-acupuncture session, the electrical clips fell off the needles and were not reattached for a significant period of time. Despite repeated requests, no licensed acupuncturist or veterinarian returned to assess or correct the issue, and the session continued without proper supervision. This meant the treatment was not delivered as represented or consented to. The facility itself raised additional concerns. On both visits, cleanliness and general upkeep appeared lacking, which is troubling in any medical setting. Most disappointing was the unprofessional and dismissive behavior of the manager, Cynthia, when concerns were raised. Rather than taking the situation seriously, the response came across as defensive and careless, further undermining trust in the clinic's standards and leadership. Management later issued a credit and canceled future appointments, but that does not address the core issues of oversight, hygiene, and professionalism. If your dog's recovery truly matters to you especially after surgery I strongly suggest looking elsewhere and asking very direct questions before entrusting care to this facility
