We were excited to bring it home but noticed we couldn't get it into our driveway. The bumper was to low on the driveway and was getting stuck on the cement. I called around to all the RV stores and for some reason they all recommended ABC Welding in Anaheim. Well here comes ABC Welding to our rescue. Chuck was the nicest guy, very personalable and extremely honest, he told me to replace my hitch to a lower type hitch and that might solve my problem. He could of made a quick dollar off of me but chose not to . I replaced the hitch a week later and it still got stuck on my driveway so he suggested we add caster wheels to the lower bumper to clear the driveway so I brought it back to him and he did an amazing job! A few weeks later I brought back my trailer for a hitch attachment since he did such a great job on my caster wheels. He just didnt do a hitch attachment but a work of art, literally! He changed the spare wheel attachment point directly on to the bumper to accommodate the extra steel to placed to reinforce the bumper. It went from a 30lb. Bumper rating to well over a thousand pound gorrilla rating. This new setup can probably haul another trailer or a boat, that's how strong he built it. Again it's a thing of beauty and structurely superior to other bumper setups I've seen. I can't give enough accilades about this gentlemans skills and business practice. To simply say it, Chuck is Great!

Over the holiday, our stainless-steel sink rack broke in a few places, which made the rack less functional. I brought the broken sink rack to Bryan's shop to ask if it could be fixed. Though he was very busy with multiple job orders and phone calls, he made time to answer my questions, and assure me positively it could be repaired. I appreciate this greatly, as I was a "walk-in", without an appointment or a prior phone call; since I was going to "see" what was possible by showing the item, instead of trying to explain on a call. Bryan then said, "If you'd like to wait, I can work on it now." Wow. Did not expect such prompt service and direct action to my inquiry. Outstanding! Suffice to say, the sink rack was totally repaired, better than new, with a very happy spouse and home as a bonus. Bryan took additional time to have a short chat with me, and though I just met him, I feel as though he's the great supportive and helpful friend I've known for many years. Very honest. Great skills; he welded better than it was when new! Very fair, caring and exceptionally customer focused (though understand he is a very busy man, with multiple due-dates and other obligations, so keep this in mind.) If you don't care about customer service, don't mind the cussing and yelling, don't care if he does…read morethings you did not ask for or want, don't mind if he takes longer than he said, are looking to spend large quantities of cash, and don't mind if the quote changes, this place might be okay for you. Otherwise, when you enter blacksmith into Google maps, you'll see several other options in the area. I have a release arm for a fifth wheel that got bent. The website of The Blacksmith Shop says "no metal job too small." So I contacted Rick and sent pictures of the item. He said he could fix it for $100 and that he could fix it while I waited. That sounded great, because then I could watch. So I agreed on the price and made arrangements for the following week. But when I arrived as planned, he said he was busy and that I would have to leave the item. Over the next week he kept saying he would get it done. On one conversation during this week, he said he gets paid $200 / hour and that my job would take over an hour, but that he would still only charge me $100 since that is what he quoted me. After that, however, he said the job would take too long. Maybe he tried to do it and discovered that it was difficult to bend metal, or maybe he just decided the job was too small. In any event, I would have preferred if he had just backed out of the work and told me he changed his mind. I would have returned to retrieve my item and would only have wasted a little time. Instead, and without asking me, Rick ordered a new item online for about $110. If I wanted to order a new item online, I didn't need Rick for that. The reason I wanted the item to be fixed is because there are variations in parts, and a new one might not have the same exact specs. But if I had ordered the item for myself, I would still have had the old one to compare it to or fix. He said to pay $110 for this new item and that he was not going to make any money on it. About ten days later when the item arrived, he said just pay him $120 so that he could make a little money on the deal. When I arrived to pay for the new item, I asked if I could get the old item back. He said no and that he had already given it to the scrap metal dealer. I asked him for the invoice on the new one but all he had was the box it came in. I had $130 cash, but he didn't have change and asked me what I wanted to do. I asked if I could pay with a credit card. But Rick yelled at me and cussed and said he is not taking a credit card for a small job like this. So I said, okay I'll pay $110. Again Rick yelled at me and cussed and asked if I really wanted to quibble over $10. I told him I was not quibbling over $10. I was willing to pay the twice-raised amount he was asking for in cash or by credit card. He just didn't have the change and didn't want to take a credit card like other businesses. I was just not going to pay more when I had already been quoted less, $100 and then $110. Then he complained about all the work he had to do and that he wasn't making any money and that he doesn't like taking these small jobs. At no time did I yell, or cuss, or complain, but I did tell him that I did not ask him to order a new item online. I came to him for his blacksmithing skills, not his online shopping skills. After he finished with his yelling and cussing, he agreed on $110.

Waited about 15 minutes before "Carlos" took my receipt to retrieve my metal. I was standing there before several other customers arrived with their receipts. They handed their receipts to other dudes, but not to Carlos Well, those dudes all came and went with their purchases while I still waited. I asked Carlos how long it would take, he said he had to get the metal from the back area because they didn't have any up front. He then proceeded to cut metal (not mine) on the saw there. After waiting 45 minutes and still no metal, I asked Carlos for my receipt back and went back inside for refund. A manager asked what the issue was, he checked the product and time on the receipt and then said he'd handle it. He went out to the yard, said some stuff on his radio and within 5 minutes, he came back with my metal and apologized for the wait and poor service from Carlos. Time is money and Carlos could care less. Anyhow, quite annoying but glad I found the manager and he solved the issue.
