I bought a battery from this store about a year ago. The other day, my vehicle wouldn't start--the…read morebattery was low. I put it on a charger, but it only reached 12.6 VDC and couldn't hold the charge. An hour later, it dropped to 12.2 VDC, and continued to drop. I swapped in a battery from another vehicle, and it held steady at 12.8 VDC. No issues. So, the battery wouldn't hold a charge. I brought the original battery in for warranty. What happened next was honestly baffling. The employee wouldn't even look me in the eye as I tried to explain the issue. He interrupted me and said, "I don't care about any of that. I just test it." I asked, "So you don't want to hear the issue?" He repeated, "No, I don't care about any of that." OK, He doesn't care . . . I guess I just stand here, say nothing . . . wait. Then he plugged in their test unit and said, "It needs a charge." I told him it had already been charged. He replied, "You didn't wait long enough--it takes an hour and a half." I explained it had been on the charger all night. His response? "It's your alternator." Oh my God! I told him I know cars and electronics, and I had data from both the working battery and the one in question. He shrugged and said, "It's policy," with a tone that made it clear he had zero interest in helping. Not once did he make eye contact. This wasn't just poor service--it was astonishingly dismissive. Do they train their staff in customer service? Do they understand how charging systems work? Do they know the difference between a battery that's low and one that can't hold a charge? Apparently not. In the end, I was out of luck. And honestly, I could've accepted that, doubted the warrantees on these things are real at O'Reilly's anyway, if I hadn't been treated with such disrespect. When did "I don't care" become something you say to a customer? The night before I had already priced batteries around town because of my doubts. So it was easy for me to just go down the road. I bought a new battery (for far less than the same one at O'Reilly's) from someone who was actually pleasant to deal with, dropped it in, and everything worked perfectly, tested the voltages, good, load good, started right up, charges good. Problem solved. Long-term solution? Avoid O'Reilly Auto Parts, especially this location. I've had issues here before, but never anything like this. There is one person there who's decent, but unfortunately, I wasn't dealing with her. O'Reilly Auto Parts: those warranties they advertise may not mean much if "policy" overrides common sense. O'Reilly Auto Parts Placentia: the "I don't care" customer service model is a bold new strategy... one that customers should absolutely avoid.

I told Nick I was completely new to the world of modifying cars, especially Audis, and he couldn't have been more helpful. He took the time to walk me through my options, explain everything clearly, and help me choose what made sense for my setup and goals. The communication throughout the process was top-notch. While my car was in the shop, they kept me in the loop with progress updates and photos, which I really appreciated. When I picked it up, the splitter and diffuser looked phenomenal, and the exhaust sounded exactly how I wanted it to... deep, clean, and not over the top. I'll definitely be coming back to AU Tuning as I keep exploring the tuning world. Highly recommend these guys if you're looking for honest advice, great work, and solid communication.

As part of their service they did a full inspection. They found some other things that they recommended I have done. There was no pressure whatsoever from them to get these things done. He even googled to see if some of the items were covered by my warranty and recommended I check with the dealer first before paying them to do the work. They use a really cool software that sends you pictures and a breakdown of each item with notes and costs. If you are thinking of going to them... DO IT! I will always bring them my cars. A+++

1 Star -- Terrible Customer Service I recently called Muscle…read moreFactory Auto Parts regarding an issue with a 1966 El Camino lower control arm, and my experience with Ron was absolutely awful. He was extremely rude from the start, dismissive of my questions, and made no effort to help resolve the issue. I had my mechanic call--someone far more knowledgeable about the part--to try and have a more technical conversation, but unbelievably, Ron was even ruder to him. Rather than offering assistance or guidance, his only response was, "Just send it back then. Just send it back." That's not how you treat customers. This kind of attitude is unacceptable, especially when there are plenty of reputable companies like Summit Racing, OPGI, or CPP that actually value their customers and treat them with respect. If you care about customer service, communication, or professionalism, avoid Muscle Factory Auto Parts at all costs. Treating customers this way is a fast track to losing business -- and with the reach of social media today, bad experiences like this don't stay quiet for long.

About twelve years ago I actually built an entire car with their products. Occasionally you'll have to do a little fabrication to make some stuff fit, but that just comes with the territory when building hot rods. Now I just go there when I need some stuff here and there. This is a great alternative to a lot of the other classic parts places because they always have the majority of items in stock, the prices are low, there is never a line, the quality is great, the parking is easy and the customer service is amazing. The last two times Ron has helped me. He is totally awesome and really knows his stuff. Went there today to grab some stuff for my Chevelle. Not only did Ron have the trim clips I needed, but he gave them to me for free! Thx!
