If you ask my nephews, I am cool. And I'm sure it's in no small part because I take them on adventures like Laser Flash on a summer afternoon. What to do with a 12-year-old and 10-year-old who have very different ideas of a fun activity? They couldn't agree on anything because - as siblings do - one would complain about anything the other suggested. We finally locked in on laser tag with a promise of ice cream afterward to satisfy both of them. Laser Flash was easy to find in what I assume is central Carmel (we're from out of town). The building looks like it's in an industrial park. When we walked in, we found it lively with arcade games and lots of boisterous kids. I went ahead and purchased laser tag for the four of us and we were told our game would start in about 12 minutes. We watched a video explaining the game (King of the Hill) and making sure we knew how to use our equipment. We were ushered by staff into the equipment room where we grabbed our vests and blasters. We had a great time rushing around, staking claim of the hills, and earning points by shooting lasers at each other's vests. Our group was mixed with another family there, which actually made it more fun for us. The inside wasn't as black light friendly or decorated as other places I've been so that's an area for improvement. The price is also steep at $20 a person. I know that comes with a free game every day for 30 days, but we were all there from out of town so it wasn't much of a benefit. I would have rather had an option for a day-long pass in the moment so we could play more on that specific afternoon. read more

Everyone who has visited Laser Flash at some point (including me) has said something along the lines of, "I didn't know there was a laser tag place here!" Laser Flash is hiding in plain sight, in an unassuming area just off Carmel Drive in the heart of Carmel. But yeah! There is laser tag and an arcade in Carmel, and it's really great. We've been to Laser Flash for a birthday party, and then we visited for our own child's birthday. This is a great option if you just want something for a birthday that is casual and no-stress. For my kid's birthday, we literally just called the day before and made a reservation for the number of kids we thought would want to do laser tag, and then showed up and it was all good. Then we ordered pizza the day of. Easy peasy. Each session of laser tag is actually two, and you also get to come back for a whole month to play laser tag. It's actually a really good deal! And you also get a discount at the arcade with each game that you play. They have a Noble Roman's inside the facility. It's a full-blown restaurant. You can order full pizzas and breadsticks to enjoy inside Laser Flash, or you can also get the pizzas to go or have them delivered to you if you live locally. They also have beer and wine. The arcade at Laser Flash isn't the biggest, but for the kids we were dealing with (which ranged in ages from 5 to 10), it was perfect, and they played for more than two hours. The arcade operates on a card system: You receive a card when you buy laser tag, and then you can add money to it to play the arcade games. The arcade games are each around 80 cents to $1. If you win tickets, the tickets are uploaded onto your card. Then, you can present your card to the prize station and pick a prize, the quantity and quality of which depends on the number of tickets you have won. They actually have some really decent prizes available. My kids walked away with fidget toys, sensory items, full-sized toys and the like. As a parent, one of the important things to me when visiting a place like this is: Is it clean? Do they clean regularly? And yes, Laser Flash is a clean place, and they clean regularly. There is also copious bottles of hand sanitizer everywhere, for your convenience. I like a place that is generous with its hand sanitizer. read more

My whole family had such a blast visiting Laser Flash! Best last tag I've ever played. Each session has THREE games in it, around 40 minutes total for each session. And the prices are so affordable! Pay a flat monthly rate and get daily laser tag for $17-25 per month. If you have older kids (teens), this is a great deal! You can make an entire evening out of it and enjoy pizza (they have a Noble Romans) and an arcade. We played 2 sessions and some arcade and were there for around 3 hours. The employees were all courteous and helpful and environment energetic and fun! The kids (ages 9-15) raved about the laser tag layout. You will definitely get your workout in here! I suggested wearing closed-toe shoes and clothes to work up a sweat in. When I called I was told for $20.00 I would get unlimited laser tag for 30 days. When we arrived the truth was it's unlimited one game a day for 30 days. Thankfully we had a "bonus" game that came with the membership that we used so we could play two games in a row. Our first session it was just us and our couple friends. So 2 v 2 playing King of the Hill. It was pretty fun but didn't have the same level of thrill as playing against a large group. Our second session it was closer to 7 v 7. This was much more fun. We played headquarters which I do NOT suggest at all. This game type is way too easy and doesn't even take that much effort. Our team was winning a game within 3 minutes of starting. All you have to do is walk over to a base, shoot the top. Use your super power to de-activate the enemy's pack or just use rapid fire to knock out the headquarter extremely fast. This game mode was repetitive and really not that exciting. We paid the extra $5.00 to join a third session. We specifically asked not to play headquarters again. We played king of the hill in a 7v7. King of the hill is much more fun as it requires you to move to the different lit up bases. With a larger group there were 2-3 bases at a time that were lit up. The staff was nice but didn't seem to have much control of the groups. When they told the red group to enter, everyone went in. The staff just needs to learn to be a bit louder and make it very clear which group should be entering the ready up room. The packs are nice but heavy. Overall I like them. There were times the having to go back to the base to respawn was frustrating. However I eventually got into a routine. You have a nice chunk of life before you have to return to your base. So it does help create some balance. How does this compare to x-site? I would say king of the hill was pretty thrilling and really got me moving. I do miss the fog machines, the fun music, and the black light decorated walls. I think if laser flash decorates their walls in a more fun manor, it would go a long way. It would have been nice if they had offered a multi game pass for like 1-2 days. We were only there for the weekend and wanted to cram in a bunch of games. However the 30 day pass is really more so designed for locals. Masks were required in the waiting area but not in the arena. read more

This place completely saved this mom! We had to do a last minute birthday party change of plans; our other venue closed (but still accepted reservations online). The parents/kids had already been notified and it was set for in the morning...I couldn't rearrange all of it so- I shot Laser Flash a late night message on Yelp. He answered me quickly and even open EARLY for us the next day! The place was very clean, super organized, explained rules very well and we had a fantastic time!! We played tag, had cards loaded with 10 bucks for the arcade, and then another game of tag. 2 hours in total. The cards allowed the group too return for 1 free game, every day, for a month! Perfect for the winter months! We will be back and this maybe our new place for teen entertainment! read more

Such a fun place! We were seeking some spring break family fun and this was it! I booked a reservation online for laser tag. I was unable to play because I had my baby with my but my husband and the 2 other kids loved it! The baby and I watched them play from the observation deck and it was great. The arcade was fun and we were able to play a ton of games for $10! The kids walked away with some great prizes. All in all we played for about 3 hours. I wish there were more drink options, you have to pay for only a 16oz cup and there is no refill station. I had to go find a staff member to get me a drink but other than that there were no problems! read more

Went here for an office event on a Friday night. This place is a lot bigger than I thought. They have pizza and drinks for sale and a ton of arcade type games. We played three rounds of laser tag with a good mix of adults and kids. All 3 were just our group since we had a larger group. The kid were really good at laser tag and it was easy to catch on how to play. The tricky part was remembering who was on your team, especially when a few kids figured out how to turn their vest to our color and were sneak attacking our base. At the end you get a print out of your scores and you can track your progress. I was glad we decided to add this to our Cabin Fever event. read more

SO MUCH FUN! First of all, this place is impeccably clean which is a rarity with most arcades full of sticky-fingered kids. I took my nieces here for a fun rainy Saturday activity and we had a blast playing laser tag! We were split up in teams with about 10 people on each team and the competition was on! You will work up a sweat as you defend your base from the other team and run to recharge your laser ammunition. The two levels were easy to navigate and there were plenty of places to "hide". WAR! I've taken on several laser tag stadiums and this one is at the top of my list. At 7,800 square feet, this maze of multiple stories, hiding nooks, and ramps makes for a great time. In fact, it's the largest in the state of Indiana. Lots of black lights, confusing turns, and surprise attacks are the crux of Laser Flash. The laser vests are connected to a computer hub that gives PA system team performance updates and while displaying on the exterior flat screen TVs for the audience. Don't want to play, but want to feel part of the hunt? The small observation deck gives you a second story view of the action. Laser Flash offers lots of specials so you can get more play for less pay. Speaking of pay there are plenty of games to play while waiting for your laser group to play. Hungry? The affordable and famous pizza chain Noble Roman's is there to refuel the crowd and feed birthday parties. What a great find! I was in Indy for a work conference and was looking for something to do with a few co-workers. Laser Flash it was! What a cool place! Their arcade was pretty impressive, especially the new Star Wars game. What a rush! Laser Tag was pretty cool too. Just a touch on the dark side compared to a few of the other places around home. Still a lot of fun though. I was there on a Tuesday night, so it wasn't all that crowded, but I'm guessing the weekends get crazy! I mean that in a great way though. I think their arena fits 40-ish people at a time! Next time I find myself looking for something to do in Indianapolis, Laser Flash is happening. read more

I went here with some friends for my husband's 35th birthday. It's 30 minutes worth of play time, but 40 minutes total (10 mins of that is instructions). It's a nice facility, clean, with two levels so you can get elevated during the round. There is a base where you have to run back to to recharge, and also a base that you have to "protect". Not sure how I feel about that concept though because there were two very lazy kids playing in there with us that just stood under the opposing team base shooting at it. I think they should get rid of the base concept. There's also a balcony where people can observe and a few arcade games. Very clean bathrooms. Overall, this is a great place to go for something different. Our group really enjoyed themselves. The only negative is that the construction in carmel is a major pain right now. Laser tag!!! My friends and I came here on a whim and it was a great choice. They have an arcade and great deals that allow you to play games and laser tag. They have a game of laser tag every hour and if you come here on a Friday or the weekend, it's pretty packed. We didn't try the food but they seemed to have options and handle large groups well. Did a birthday party here...laser tag is fun and arcade seems cleaner than most...but all the teenagers running the place wears on you. Nothing is ready/right the first time...the table isn't ready... the laser tag system isn't ready...the game cards aren't ready...gets old quickly. And the birthday tables are jammed together with a big screen tv over them playing football game so kids jammed in with random adults watching the game making it even more crowded. We did like the laser tag but would do Dave and Busters over this even though they don't have laser tag. read more

So a few frantic calls and a mad scramble later and we ended up just down the road at Laser Flash. The team there was so accommodating and helpful. They bent over backwards at the last minute with no notice and made my son's birthday a success. We are new to the area so had I known this place existed we would have just started out here in the first place.
