My husband and I walked over to La Scala for dinner last nite and so happy we did! I went old school spaghetti & meatballs, my husband had the scallops & linguine dish. Both equally delish!!! We also shared an order of garlic bread and so so good!! Loads of roasted garlic and just the right amount of cheese. Best beach bread on Cape!! Bottle of red very very reasonable. Thank you La Scala!

BEST ANTIPASTO SALAD I've ever had. Homemade sausage. Topped with the works. Amazing dressing and bread to boot. Took it to go and ate at the beach. Can't beat it! We will definitely be back. The new owner has truly outdone himself.

Eggplant and chicken parm

Ordered the combo eggplant and chicken parm with penne. Large portion but much parm or mozzarella. The penne was dumped on the plate without draining and it watered down the red sauce which was acidic and had little flavor. If you want a lot of food but don't care much about taste this is the place to go to.

Early Dinner Delight at Milano's Italian Kitchen…read more My husband managed to snag us a reservation at Milano's Italian Kitchen in Harwich--early at 4:45pm--but it turned out to be a perfect time to enjoy a relaxed, cozy dinner. The ambiance was warm and welcoming, and our server Lynne was friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. We started with cocktails: a classic Negroni for him and a Pineapple Express for me. Both were delicious and paired beautifully with the fresh bread and rich olive oil that arrived shortly after. A simple but satisfying start. For our appetizer, we shared the calamari fritti. The portion was generous and the calamari was perfectly crisp. The house-made marinara sauce was a standout--tangy, flavorful, and clearly crafted with care. Dinner was equally impressive. I went with my favorite, the eggplant Parmigiana, and he had the mussels and shrimp bianco special. Both dishes were beautifully prepared and full of flavor. We enjoyed them with glasses of Vecchia Cantina Chianti, which complemented the meal wonderfully. I could only finish about a third of mine, so I've got a delicious lunch waiting for me! Milano's Italian Kitchen is a gem on Cape Cod--authentic flavors, great service, and a cozy vibe. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a memorable Italian meal, even if you're dining early!

We got a Caesar salad that had so much Parmesan on it which we loved. Then we split the lobster pasta and the filet. The pasta had huge chunks of seafood in it and the sauce was delicious. We ended with a sorbet which our waitress put a happy anniversary chocolate in it and a candle for us!

Then when you add the fact that this family-owned restaurant has clearly prioritized quality food and service, The Ocean House is must go if you're on the Cape. I was lucky enough to come just at the beginning of the season. Lucky for 2 reasons. Firstly, I was able to get a reservation (I heard it is near impossible once season hits). Secondly, we got a 3 @ 66 deal for an app, a main, and a dessert. So we obviously made it a 6 @ 122 to try everything we possibly could. Apparently that deal is only at the beginning and end of season. The Ocean House has a unique Asian-inspired twist to make each dish unique and intriguing. This goes for both food and drinks. For example, I got a dirty martini with MSG?!? Never heard of that, but it worked. Food was all fresh (especially the fish) and delicious. My favorite was their Chilean Sea Bass. That's a must get. Do yourself a favor and make a resi far in advance and take in everything you can! It may be a little pricy and a little fancy - but definitely worth everything.

The Truffle Parm Cream sauce and Gnocchi were special. Delicious Balsamic Glaze on the sides as well The Mad Tuna - Tuna dish was out of this world. So fresh!! Tuna was the star and they seared it perfectly. This was a great cut and fresh piece of Tuna. The sauces around the plate accompanied everything well too. I liked the Wasabi, Sweet Soy & Yuzu for the Tuna. I enjoyed the Spicy Mayo & Avocado smash for the Rice Balls. My only complaint was that it could have used a little more Tuna and one extra rice ball. The rest of my party seemed full from their meals while I found myself searching for more Crab Cake Sando - Delicious but the Crab Cake Tater Tots felt like enough Crab for the cape. This was a great kids dish Final Bill There was a 3.75% charge for using a credit card, 2% added tip for the cooking team and then line for tip. It just all gets out of hand quickly. In my opinion, these aren't cheap meals and too many restaurants now adays are pushing extra operational costs onto the customer when the meal prices seem high enough. What happens if we got drinks too?

Great menu options that lean more Italian but there's also burgers and fried seafood if you're craving the standard beach fare. For apps, we ordered the crab cakes, lobster quesadilla, octopus and tuna wontons along with a dozen oysters -- all were pretty tasty. Their raw oysters are from their own private sourcing and they were so fresh and briny. Really great deal to get these as a special. The quesadilla was huge, cheesy and satisfying and the crab was pretty decent and not too "bready". The octopus app could've been a tad bigger but no complaints here since the quesadilla more than made up for it. Overall, a really solid choice and we can't wait to get back for the full dinner experience.

Our experience here was mixed. The place has an outside…read moreenclosed tent as well as inside seating. We opted for inside, as it was early in the season with a cool breeze. The dining room was more spacious than it appears to be from the outside. Piped in music leaned heavily toward the '70s. We had reservations for a table for 4 for Monday 4 pm when it opened and the place slowly filled up. Our waitress, Sam, was very animated, attentive, and personable. She explained she was training a new waitstaff member and also that the chef had been busy all day setting up another proximate location. We placed our drink and oyster orders first. Then shortly followed with our entree orders. Two members of our party had food allergies and were very specific about what they could not eat. Sam checked menu items with the kitchen to verify what accommodations could be made. The cocktails were delicious and well made, and we were offered fresh hot rolls with butter and a light whipped hummus. The oysters arrived and were small, but ultra-fresh, sweet and briny. Then we waited...and waited. When our entrees finally arrived, they revealed either some of the kitchen staff also was new and/or the head chef/owner was distracted with setting up the second location. The Cioppino was very good, with plenty of seafood and a lobster tail, as was the house seared scallops with asparagus and lobster risotto. The blackened scallop special was very spicy (as warned) but arrived layered on corn, which we emphatically had said must be avoided. Sam apologized and took that away and replaced it with another vegetable. Then the beer-battered fish and chips arrived with sweet potato fries, when the parmesan-seasoned fries had been ordered. We know in both cases Sam had correctly repeated our orders to us before placing with the kitchen, so it was not her fault. However, she again apologized and brought back the correct type of fries. Sadly, they were pale and limp, contrasted with overbrowned, oily/doughy portions of fish. The accompanying coleslaw was not crisp and was barely seasoned, tasting thinly of mayonnaise. The member of our party who had ordered the fish and chips dinner literally took a taste of each item and pushed the plate away as not good. I also tasted each item and agreed. To the restaurant's credit, Sam spoke with her boss and that entree was removed from the bill. It seems the oysters and specialty seafoods are the highlight here, but more simple fish shack foods are better served elsewhere. Also, better attention needs to be paid to orders by the kitchen. If I return to this area, I would consider returning for the daily oyster specials and drinks, the cioppino, and possibly trying out the creative-sounding desserts, but might want to try other restaurants for a full dinner experience with friends.

The view would be pretty nice during the day and without a ton of snow on the deck but that's what to expect in the winter. The bar was not far from us and was pretty crowded/loud. The server was very nice and took our order - we started with the calamari appetizer, my wife had a cup of clam chowder and a broiled scallops dish and I had a lobster roll with French fries. Neither one of us thought the chowder was that good - had a strange taste to it that neither one of us could identify - it wasn't bad, just not great. The calamari was good and while the bowl it came served in was large, probably half of the order contained peppers so it wasn't as generous a portion as it looked. The calamari was pretty good - had a nice cornmeal crunch to it but I liked it a bit more than my wife did. The scallops were a generous portion and VERY tender - my wife really enjoyed them. The scallops came with a baked potato and veggies and my wife said the potato almost tasted like it was microwaved and not baked in an oven. My lobster roll was good as were the fries - nothing spectacular but not bad. For dessert we split an apple crisp (also pictured with this review). I thought it was too sweet, on the mushy side and I didn't taste a lot of apple in it (I think the sweetness overrode the apple). The apple crisp came with a bit of vanilla ice cream and whipped cream. My wife did enjoy it and thought it was quite good. Service was nice but on the slow side (we waited at least ten minutes for our supper plates to be cleared). The server was good about refilling our water glasses. Overall not a bad place. We are new to the Cape (having moved here in December 2025) and are trying out local restaurants to see if we can find a "favorite." Clancey's is not bad but I doubt we would consider it a favorite. I'm rating it with four stars but if I could I'd probably give it 3.5 - I'll round up because the server was very pleasant.
