    Anthurium Forgetti $50

I am OBSESSED!!! Omg one of my new favorite plant shops in the peninsula! There isn't any other shops in the area which makes this shop a strong contender for a large dedicated following of loyal customers, now including me. I had a lovely conversation with Rebecca & Ricardo and fell in love with the store much more. They carry the not so common house plants and a good variety of Anthuriums so it's a big thumbs up for me! If you need genuine honesty and good info please hit up Rebecca & Ricardo. I hate to call this one of my top 3 favorite stores because my chances of coming back are highly likely.

Las Selvas is a gorgeous store that even my husband who isn't very into houseplants found stunning. Their prices are super fair, and I've yet to see a plant for sale that wasn't in great condition. You can't ask for more than that. Atmosphere- gorgeous. Pricing- extremely competitive. Quality- excellent. I've been shopping around for a begonia maculata for a while and have been really disappointed with overall quality at other locations near where I work (which makes impulse buying subpar plants a bad habit I've developed). Mold, few and crispy leaves, etc. Not here! The begonia I picked up is stunning. Ricardo will take the time to make sure you know how to care for the plants you've picked and is just an overall great guy. I can't recommend this store enough. Go there and treat yourself!

My favorite shop of all time! I have several favorite plant shops in the Bay Area, but this one is currently my top. I will happily drive 40 minutes to get to this small, cute and colorful store. The couple who owns Las Selvas are amazing. They're kind, knowledgeable, and will answer any plant questions you have. They're supplying hard-to-find plants at an affordable price instead of ripping people off and making those plants so much more accessible. I didn't know this place existed until my former coworker introduced me to them, but I've been shopping there ever since. I also follow their Instagram and they put so much effort into sharing about their plants and accessories. You can tell they care a lot about their products, customers, and business. Amazing quality plants at an affordable price! You can't go wrong here.

Love this place! I was excited when it opened on San Mateo Avenue. Las Selvas not only carries plants, but candles and plant inspired greeting cards and stickers. I try to be mindful with purchasing these gift items from small and or local businesses and it's much needed in San Bruno. I've purchased a few plant babies over the past few weeks and they are thriving at home. The owners are accommodating and knowledgeable. Their selection is wonderful and they are constantly bringing in new plants. I have a feeling I am going to have to invest in more planters with this place just a 5 min drive away, but that's ok! If you are craving some foliage for your home, this is the place.

Really nice location, well curated space, and a plant for every type of plant parent. Don't expect to leave here empty handed. It's like Sephora; you are just browsing, and... the plants just jump into your hands. Tip: Bring some empty Amazon boxes, or something, to safely get your babies home. My adorable 1950s bathroom has company, I didn't know it needed. 'Aye que cute!'

Rebecca and Ricardo are so incredibly professional, knowledgeable and it's obvious that they truly love what they do. I've never found a plant store who will put in extra work just to ensure plants are affordable to all. I constantly highly recommend everyone to check out Las Selvaz! Whether you are local or online, it is a MUST! I wish they were open every day but so worth waiting til Friday-Sunday! Thank you for helping keep my plant hobby affordable & caring about people first.

Amazing shop, the owner is super knowledgeable and nice. They also have a small but super cute selection of jewelry.

Its hard to find a retail shop with a selection of plants i dont already have. It was super cool to go and pick up a paraiso verde in person today instead of the usual online thing. I'll definitely be back, was eyeing the forgetii and the adorable baby billietiaes.

We came by today to take a look around and participate in the community conservatory. I dropped off some cuttings and picked up a tradescantia nanouk cutting. This place makes you feel like you're transported to an urban jungle, just like its name! They have a wide variety of plants and an area for artisanal gifts, as well as planters. We met the owners and they were so warm and patient in sharing their knowledge. They even gave my toddler a little gift! I hear they're active in supporting the community as well - the owners are currently holding a school supplies drive for a local San Bruno school. Definitely a worthwhile business to support and we'll be back!

I went to their shop on a Monday and Ordered a funeral arrangement /spray for a Friday service at…read morethe church for a total of $360. I chose the Paradise spray as the young man who had passed away really liked Hawaii. I asked the young lady that took the order whether it's large or if I pay more would it be larger and she said all the sprays are the same size and if you pay more, they would just add more flowers but the size would be the same. So, I asked her to charge me more for more flowers $300 and go from there. Told her it's for a young man who has passed away and I want it to be special. After calling someone to make sure they can do this arrangement due to the fact that they were very busy with weddings that weekend, She assured me that it would be done and made special. She even said that they have all the flowers in-season to be able to make this spray. At he church service on Friday I was so EMBARRASSED by the arrangement. It was small and not balanced (maybe it was missing the leaves around it... not sure) but it looked terrible or maybe the florist just didn't take the time to arrange in properly. I think they should not take additional business when they cannot handle it. I know the cost of a funeral spray does not compare to the revenue they get for a wedding but this was important to me and I wanted something special for my loved one. Unfortunately I did not get a chance to take a picture because I did not want anyone associating those flowers with me. After calling the store, a couple of people (Regina and then Mark) called me back and just apologized; At first offering to refund me 50% but then rescinding that offer. Their messages mentioned that I was charged appropriately for the arrangement and they would contact me but I never heard back after leaving my review. There should be better training of their staff when a customer orders so they do not give the wrong information about the size of an arrangement and also, not take on additional business when they cannot handle it. Think twice about ordering a one-off arrangement from here; their focus is only on big-ticket revenue from weddings.

It truly is an extension of our home. Juliana and Mauricio (who she works with on the hardscape) did a wonderful job in transforming our yard. Communication with her was excellent. We did not proceed with developing plans, but the verbal estimate to get the work done was going to be $70-100K. We will be spending $30-50K with a different landscaper. I emailed asking for the last 4 digits of their phone number and did not hear back, so I didn't pay. Two weeks later I received a very rude and confrontational email hounding me for payment and threatening a late fee. I have seen back yards done by Terra Rubina. They are beautiful. I've been coming to this building for my hardware needs for over 20 years. Regardless of the name…read moreon the wall I've come here because I wanted to support local millbrae business. I've spent THOUSANDS of dollars here over TWENTY PLUS YEARS! I'm a "member " here. Basically they track my spending habits with my phone number. (I guess. Because I've seen no benefit to me from it ). Anyways that ends here and now. I've never been made to feel more unwelcome or unappreciated than I was 45 minutes ago. I work hard. I started my day at 5 am. Midday my trusty Carhartt jacket tore and I spent the rest of my 13.5 hour work day with cold drafts and a plan to come here for a new one. This is after all the same place I'd bought all my other high priced Carhartt gear. Put yourself in my shoes. 5 am start. Off at 6:30pm with a torn jacket. A feeble lunch of whatever it was I had and enough coffee to get me through. Race to the Outdoor supply and walk in the door to be "Greeted" by "You have one minute to shop!' We close at 7!!" (Mutters to coworker. Loud enough for me to hear "I know I know I shoulda locked it !" ). But I look at my watch it's 6:58. So apparently you don't "close at 7" you close a little before that. I'm followed by 2 men that are acting like children telling me "we close soon ! We close soon ! He's closing the register !!" In the MOST WHINY AND PATHETIC way I've ever heard. As I say. "I know I know I was already told. But I NEED A JACKET!" I'm followed to the jackets then I'm told again. "We close soon he's closing the register !!" (Look at my watch. It's 6:59) I find my jacket. It seems to have increased in price nearly double what I remember having paid previously but I'm literally so uncomfortable because I have two grown men and a teenager pacing and acting like they'll all be punished or something terrible will happen in the next 12 seconds. So I quickly find my size jacket. Only to discover that it's literally CHAINED UP!! With a steel cable and padlock ! In MILLBRAE. Not a third world country. Millbrae. Let me be clear. They've chained up the jackets and you can't even try them on!! Then as the three employees pacing around me figure out that they can't annoy me away. They begin to frantically try to unchain my $150 windbreaker while conversing loudly how inconvenient I am and how "he's closing the register !!" (Question ? Does ... like ?? I dunno. A BOMB GO OFF? Does like little Timmy lose a thumb if the register closes at 7:01? ) Cuz by 7:03 as I walk ran to the register in time to see another man shooed out the door with the entire rest of the store staff pacing by the door as If they all need a wee wee and the potty is closed .. the cashier is hurriedly ripping the cash drawer out of the register and trying to leave. Making me wonder what woulda happened if he left my sight ?? Would I have been told in that same whiny tone "sorry. We told you. He. Closed the register .." Seeing me ; his shoulders slump , he turns to the cash drawer and shoves it closed and BEFORE I can even ask "what's the easiest way I can pay and get out of this awkward mess?" He says "card only we're closing ". (Ok. I get that. It's literally all I've heard In the 4 minutes I've been here. ) I (for some reason) give my phone number even tho I already am seething and also oddly feeling guilty like I've somehow ruined 6-7 people's night by being their last customer. I pay and I'm followed out by 2 people. Only hearing my first friendly "thank you " as I walk out. Thinking to myself it felt like "thank you for FINALLY LEAVING !" It was 7:05pm So. I'll say online. Publicly for all to read what I said to her. "I'm sorry I came in .." I mean it. And when I say "I'm sorry. " the man I am means that it won't happen again. So don't worry Outdoor Supply. I won't bother you all again ever with my patronage. I'm sorry.
