I'm a patient person who gives folks the benefit of the doubt, but he was quite blatantly unhelpful and condescending. His behavior encouraged me to write this review and to take my local and frequent business elsewhere - and encourage others to do the same! HMB Nursery should seriously consider placing more friendly and helpful employees at the check out counter if they care about keeping customers.

I chose the Paradise spray as the young man who had passed away really liked Hawaii. I asked the young lady that took the order whether it's large or if I pay more would it be larger and she said all the sprays are the same size and if you pay more, they would just add more flowers but the size would be the same. So, I asked her to charge me more for more flowers $300 and go from there. Told her it's for a young man who has passed away and I want it to be special. After calling someone to make sure they can do this arrangement due to the fact that they were very busy with weddings that weekend, She assured me that it would be done and made special. She even said that they have all the flowers in-season to be able to make this spray. At he church service on Friday I was so EMBARRASSED by the arrangement. It was small and not balanced (maybe it was missing the leaves around it... not sure) but it looked terrible or maybe the florist just didn't take the time to arrange in properly. I think they should not take additional business when they cannot handle it. I know the cost of a funeral spray does not compare to the revenue they get for a wedding but this was important to me and I wanted something special for my loved one. Unfortunately I did not get a chance to take a picture because I did not want anyone associating those flowers with me. After calling the store, a couple of people (Regina and then Mark) called me back and just apologized; At first offering to refund me 50% but then rescinding that offer. Their messages mentioned that I was charged appropriately for the arrangement and they would contact me but I never heard back after leaving my review. There should be better training of their staff when a customer orders so they do not give the wrong information about the size of an arrangement and also, not take on additional business when they cannot handle it. Think twice about ordering a one-off arrangement from here; their focus is only on big-ticket revenue from weddings.

They are trimmed and look super happy (new growth with dozens leaves are burst to open). When I dropped them off; part of the leaves are dried since I wasn't able to deliver them right away after they were taken out. This is the reason that this place exist-because the volunteers passionate and know how to take care of the plants. I witness how they nurse the plants that I gave away. This must be love. For most people; these plants are unwanted and would end up in compost. They group them together with the same species in the table for sale. They price the smaller one $4.50 and 2 of the mediums $10/ each. Come and support this business. Everyone would benefit; whether you are giving away plants or buying.

We decided to call and see what they offered. Wendy was really nice and helpful. She asked what we wanted and what was the price range. We told her what we wanted and paid her and she really surprised us with the beautifully arranged orchids. You know those giant pots of yellow chrysanthemums and the giant red ribbons that we are accustomed to? Well, these aren't in, these are nice orchids she found and perfectly arranged them. I needed some sun kissed boulders with more angles and some interesting aquamarine coloring. Yez had one of the workers bring down a container full of such boulders from the back top row and personally helped me pick out what I wanted, going as far as removing the top layers of boulders one by one by hand in order to get to the described boulders beneath the top layers. And these boulders were heavy! Yez said Lyngso always strive to provide great service to all their customers. And Yez definitely did. I will definitely go to Lyngso for my gardening materials.

He took the time to explain that the stone is naturally layered and that some surface flaking over time is normal. After showing me the underlying layer, it was clear the stone itself was solid and that no repair was actually needed. I really appreciated David's honesty and integrity -- it would have been easy to recommend unnecessary work, but instead he explained what was happening and reassured me that the patio is in good shape. They were all very knowledgeable and gave their expert opinion on what design and layout would work the best. Everyone on David's team was also very responsive and patient as well. They finished the entire job in just two days which was amazing. They took one day to level and clear the area and another day to add in all of the pavers. Even though the project was probably more on the smaller end, the level of attention and detail David and his team provided was top notch.
