The area looks like a place someone would love to retire in. I went for the highest rated Mexican restaurant in the area. I was surprised to see the outside of the building, it looked like an old gas station or house. The parking lot seemed full so it had to be good. I live in an area of Nashville where there is a plethora of good authentic Mexican and Central American cuisine. I still have an affinity for these kind of Tex-Mex places in most of the US. Upon entry I was greeted immediately and seated immediately. The menu did have a good selection of traditional tex Mex options. I opted for the Carne Asada with corn tortillas. The food came out very quickly and I enjoyed the meal. My only criticism was the tortillas were not hand made and also the beans seemed very light in color which is not to my liking. The best thing about this meal was the price! Very reasonable. I would eat here again if in the area.

Not what I'm used too, but I get it, the business is going to sell what the geographical folks are buying. Prices are reasonable, again about the same as the other few dozens of Mexican restaurants in middle Tennessee. My mama,baby sister ,and I called in an order to the McEwen, TN Las Plazas and we ordered El Patron, Cheese dip, Chimichangas, and a taco, he gave a price of like 24 dollars and some cents and disconnected then I decided I wanted a couple more tacos ,and we called back and added 2 tacos and the price went to 37 dollars and some change. And we started thinking about it ,and wondered why 2 tacos cost 13 dollars ,but they kept altering the ticket to explain the price well Iwe got the food ,and it was horrible the meat wasn't seasoned the cheese was extremely watered down , the portions were not full servings more like half or less , it was horrible we called back to express how dissatisfied we were ,and my mother wanted a better explanation of the price ,well after they pass the phone around ,and gave the impression that they didn't understand English, and just kept repeating they added the tacos and completely ignoring the words that were being said ,and just kept defending their actions by saying yes the added it . So my mother just hung up ,and we won't be back since they didn't even try to make it right we would have returned the food untouched if that what would have been required for some type of reimbursement, but no they just seemed to play it off as if it were intentionally done as some sort of game or over charging gimmick to earn extra money . I don't know, but I do know that they lost some loyal customers we had been going to them for years again I'm friends with some of the older employees ,and keep in contact with them. Now I'm not saying anything bad about other restaurant with the same name as far as I know they are still excellent like the last time I had went ,but this location I wouldn't recommend dinning there .
