my second time here, it was amazing. We got the fried jalapeño app, and if you like spicy stuff it's amazing. My kids ate all their cheese quesadilla. The salsa is spicy and awesome. Spicy margs hit the spot. Staff is personable, we didn't feel rushed at all, and we felt taken care of. Food turned out 10/10, we had tamales, tacos, enchiladas. Ride out to Paris from Nashville today and chose Carmelita's for lunch around 2:30pm. At first, it appeared closed as there was no one else there. (But it was 2:30 and there's kinda nothing around) Upon tasting the very bland salsa, I didn't have high hopes. (We added salt and pepper and it made it much better) We ordered a couple burritos, chalupa and tostada. Surprisingly, it was all very tasty. Good quality and quantity for the price. The server even made fresh guacamole with no jalapeños. The hamburger meat was a little bland too. Overall, we enjoyed our meal. read more

Don't let the exterior fool you! Some of the best Mexican food can be had at Carmelitas. We had a large group and they handled 17 of us with ease and grace.
