THE BEST!!!! Señor Guillermo is not only a master in his craft of food but also his drinks. Being from Southern California, I'm very picky with Mexican food. Comida Mexicana. Not only does Carmelita's give the flavor but when asked they give the spice! In my 18 months of living here, Carmelita's is not only my go to but the place I tell everyone to go to. Thank you Guillermo for a wonderful time this afternoon but also being consistent in your quality and service. Lastly, if you like spice and tequila, do NOT hesitate on asking for his spicy margarita! Just beware, the big size is basically the size of a fishbowl, lol, and I absolutely love it! read more

my second time here, it was amazing. We got the fried jalapeño app, and if you like spicy stuff it's amazing. My kids ate all their cheese quesadilla. The salsa is spicy and awesome. Spicy margs hit the spot. Staff is personable, we didn't feel rushed at all, and we felt taken care of. Food turned out 10/10, we had tamales, tacos, enchiladas. Atmosphere is authentic and neat. read more

The food was ok but the service was crap and the prices are outrageous!! $1.25 for sour cream really!!!! That is ridiculous!! I could have brought my own from home if I knew they was gona charge that!! The restaurant was tiny and the bar was a joke I mean my bedroom was bigger!! read more

Carmelitas Comida Mexicana - The prices!! - Mexican Near Me - Buchanan, Tennessee

Ride out to Paris from Nashville today and chose Carmelita's for lunch around 2:30pm. At first, it appeared closed as there was no one else there. (But it was 2:30 and there's kinda nothing around) Upon tasting the very bland salsa, I didn't have high hopes. (We added salt and pepper and it made it much better) We ordered a couple burritos, chalupa and tostada. Surprisingly, it was all very tasty. Good quality and quantity for the price. The server even made fresh guacamole with no jalapeños. The hamburger meat was a little bland too. Overall, we enjoyed our meal. read more

Great food, friendly service and quick on ysle out orders. My family has been going there since they opened.

The grilled jalapeño appetizer is amazing. You would think it would be very spicy but it's not - just a great flavor

We moved to the area 6 months ago and haven't tried here because of the previous reviews. We heard the food and drinks were awesome and tried it ourselves tonight! Everything was excellent! We had a peach margarita and a mango margarita- both were so good! I had the trio fajitas with steak, shrimp and chicken! Very good! My husband had the loaded burrito- it was huge! Loaded with flavor and everything was fresh. It is our new favorite stop in the area! read more

The food here is awesome. We had the family special, oh my, it was good. Service was average. It was a Saturday night, and they were busy. Im not sure why they only had one waiter, and the runners seemed to be lost or new. I recommend this place if you're hungry for good Mexican food. read more

I would recommend a stop at Carmelita's! My husband and I loved their fresh avacado side and the chorizo dip. Fast service. Not much around here but a nice surprise while vacationing at Kentucky Lake. read more

My family started at the state park. We made a call for pickup, they said they 10 minutes it would be ready and it was.

Don't let the exterior fool you! Some of the best Mexican food can be had at Carmelitas. We had a large group and they handled 17 of us with ease and grace. Our waiter did it all... took our orders, brought us drinks and kept them full... we think he even made all the adult drinks as well. Food came out hot and delicious! Definitely give them a try if you are in the area. read more

Great service and really good margaritas. Don't be fooled and get the big one it packs a punch!

FINALLY a REAL Mexican food establishment in Paris and Henry County. WELL worth the drive to the KY Lake area. Order was cooked EXACTLY like requested. Service was excellent. Great food and service! Love all the menu options and prices are reasonable. Look forward to going back

Good food, good margaritas, fast service. A little pricey but good food. Overall good

We live nearby. At first we thought the food was good. The quality has gone down. We ordered carry out several times. When I got home on three occasions, the tortillas were left out for the fajitas. I had to drive back to get them. Also, pricey for this type of place. We don't go there anymore. read more

This is one of the worst Mexican restaurants I have ever been in. Prices on the menu are not correct. They charged me more than the menu said. When I ask them about it he said prices has went up and pointed to a sign on the wall about the prices. It cost me, my husband, and my 7 year old grandson 37.00 for lunch. read more
