I had gone before, and was disappointed...and i went back, and my disappointment was reconfirmed. i got their burger combo...nothing wrong at all with the food...but...but...but...i stood at the front to order for a long time...no one said JUST A MINUTE...or...WE'LL BE RIGHT WITH YOU..the cook looked over his shoulders, kinda said FUCK IT, and went back to cooking...eventually a completely emotionless girl came to the front and took my order to go for a burger combo. First impression - place was dirty and as I waited for my order 2 customers complained about their phone order being incorrect. When I received my esquite it tasted like the corn had been frozen along with other vegetables or the same knife they used to cut onion was somehow used in the making of my esquite because that's all I could taste. I came here ordered our food it took over 20 minutes to get our food and when we got it, only half our order was ready. So we didn't even eat together. Top it off there was a hair in my food. So I went to tell them they said they will make me another one it's now been over 15 I'm waiting for my new burrito hopefully without any extra toppings. I do not like giving negative reviews, but this place needs to know that their customer service is terrible!!! I walked in for the first time and there was no line, I saw the workers behind the counter and made eye contact, but no one acknowledged me. I had no idea where I was suppose to order. A line started forming behind me, so I guess I was standing in the right place? I young girl behind the counter kept looking at the line not saying anything . Finally I asked her who could take my order. She just asked what I wanted to order. I asked for a "Pico de Gallo" . Which is chopped fruit with chili. Other places I order this from, normally prepare it when you order it.(fresh fruit). After I ordered, she just walked away and started restocking a fridge. (Mind you the line is growing and everyone is confused at this point) she restocked the fridge with different items including Pico de Gallo containers. Another customer asked her for a to go box and she brought it to him. She went back to the counter and said "next customer" while I was still standing in front of her. It's not the best, but they're chicken nachos and sopes are good for what you pay for. It has beans, cheese, onion, cilantro, salsa and guacamole. I only come here for the esquites and tonight (3/30 @8:30pm) is the last time I'm returning. I ask for no juice/caldo in my esquite and it's usually a hit or miss but it's not really a big deal (although its annoying and messy) because I just tip the cup over and it drips out. Tonight i tried doing that but it was so thick that only a bit of the juice dripped so i thought it was ready. When i mixed it the end result was a thick pink soup. It grossed me out but I still went ahead and gave it a try since i know some people eat it like that but it was too sour to eat. I'm not sure if it was spoiled or what but I had to throw it away. I'm so bummed about it because I couldn't catch the elotero so we drove 20mins to get here for my fix but I was met with a cup of disappointment instead. I read the reviews to this establishment and still had faith we would have a different outcome. Well, I was wrong. The lady helping us was a little friendly but they lack customer service, it seems like they're not well coordinated. It took us a little long to get what we ordered which was an Esquite and my hubby got sliced mango(he prepared it himself, not a big deal tho) We enjoyed what we got, but I rated 1 star because the place was pretty dirty, I couldn't believe they had an A. Not only that but the employees and upper management need to be friendly so they can have returning customers. The location in Downey is way cleaner but they don't listen to any requests you make( ex; light mayo or cheese on esquite)And the workers are soo rude there.
