I like this place. This restaurant has a much different feel than the other Las Palmas locations in the Nashville area. (So if you're looking for men in skinny jeans and fedoras, you won't find that here.) Seriously though, the atmosphere is nicer and I like the decor. I know the menus are almost identical and they have the same owners, but I just like Palmas Verdes a lot more. I think the quality of the food is better at Palmas Verdes compared to what I have experienced at Las Palmas. The service is always great here and very fast. They have excellent lunch specials and get you in and out quickly. I especially like their taco salad and cheese dip. Great drink specials during happy hour, especially if you like margaritas! Seems like they always run coupons in the Clipper Magazine as well, which I appreciate. If you like Las Palmas, I think you'll like this place even more. I know we do. read more

This is my families favorite Mexican restaurant in Nashville. They always have great service and the food comes out quickly. The chips are always fresh and they have great salsa. It's a really nice place to bring hungry kids because they immediately get to eat chips and salsa. read more

The worst Mexican food. It's bland, no flavor. The salsa tasted like tomato sauce, the guacamole was just smashed avocados with no flavor, the red chili tasted more spaghetti sauce. I wouldn't recommend it. read more

Was just in there about an hour ago. We got waited on right away and even with a baseball team in there we got our drinks fast. Our food got to our table in a very reasonable time and it seemed as though the shells for the tacos were either made in-house or local. Nothing was burnt or undercooked, just perfect in my opinion. The price was insanely reasonable as well and I was kind of shocked it was that low for two people. Will for sure go back to this location again. read more

Decent food, horrible service. My husband absolutely loved his grilled ribeye tacos, but my fajita burrito with beef was pretty bland and unremarkable. The waiter had no personality and barely spoke to us at all. Won't be going back, chuys is much better. read more

Really nice building and seemed cleaned from everything I could see. The food was less than impressive. I ordered cheesy chicken and rice. The easiest meal I could possible think of. The chicken was basically all fat and there was barely any cheese. On a positive note: the rice was pretty good. I gave eating the chicken after 4 different bites and just enjoyed the rice and veggies. Service was pretty bad. We waited a really long time for both food and check. The server walked away mid question. Overall...I would avoid eating here. There are plenty other places to choose from. read more

This is the best Mexican I have ever had. The place was really nice and well maintained, the service was great, the food was incredible, and the Yazoo pitcher was under $10! First, you notice the well dressed workers. Then you notice the above average decor and look and feel. Then you get the food and are won over. Las Palmas is a great local favorite with the best spicy salsa in town with several locations around middle Tennessee. We were met with excellent service and were quickly seated. I have eaten here several times over the years and feel kind of bad that I have not written a review. Don't worry this review will be based on my dinning experience this evening. I ate here this evening with wife and father. The quality of the food and the portions size were quite good. My wife and I shared the chicken fajitas for two. My dad had a chimichanga. For drinks my dad and I shared a pitcher of Dos Equis while my wife had a jumbo margarita. She enjoyed her margarita. Both drinks were half price since they were having a happy hour special this evening (Thursday). Service could be slow at times but wasn't too bad. Overall it was a good experience. I will say this that a couple years ago I was worried about this place but it has really gotten its act together over the last two years in my opinion and is much better than it used to be. read more

This is our Friday night splurge nearly every week. The chimigrande fajita is a popular favorite, but the queso fundido should be served with every meal. It is good on the rice, on the chimi, on the chips. It may even be good with iced tea, it is that powerful. I have yet to be disappointed in anything I order here. I used to love Las Palmas, but over the years their food quality and value have gone down. I went a few weeks ago and the food was terrible and tasteless. Warning, they throw cilantro over everything now to make up for the fact that it is cold microwaved Mexican food. I used to eat here weekly, but not anymore. The Queso Fundido was ok, but for that and two entrees, two iced teas with tip, we spent close to $50. That was my last time there, so long to a Nashville tradition. This is my family's go to for Mexican food. Nice place, friendly, good service and food. Even if they are full the kitchen gets food out that is good and not a long wait. They are great about sending and taking coupons even with there prices that are already reasonable. Have a large group? No worries. They will take good care of your group. read more

Been to LP twice now and both times have been great experiences. But.... Today I came and I'm a sucker for good Mexican food but never have had much of a need for shrimp in my life. I like it but it's not something I ever crave. Today I decided to try the fajitas and was curious about the shrimp so I ordered chicken and shrimp fajitas. Put it this way. This place can do for a quick Mexican fix yet I would not go out of my way to find it considering other chain spots (including Las Palmas) can do as well if not better. Like others say, they can put the white cheese on just about every dish. The white cheese is the highlight. Bean dip, veggie fajitas and chicken burritos were all OK. Service falls under OK too. A big miss for us was the lack of any fresh peppers (jalapeno, serrano, etc.) to get as a side and they only had pickled jalapenos as a way to add extra heat to the dishes. The salsa is more like ketchup than salsa but it too did the trick on a hungry afternoon. I don't expect to come back here again and will hit Garcias while in Franklin and one of the many chain spots when in Nashville. read more

We just left this pitiful establishment. The service was the absolute WORST I have ever experienced.

I took a friend out to eat here tonight and the service was great, but the food was not very good. The rice was dry and as hard as a rock and the beans were probably to three days old and the quesadilla was just tortilla folded over with some melt the cheese and chicken, they charge me a dollar 75 for a tiny little ramekin guacamole and the fajita steak was pretty much Burnt!!!! I will not be going back there, as far as good Mexican in this area, Cinco DeMayo is well worth the drive in the other direction read more

My family and I really enjoy Mexican food. We live in Donelson but used to come to Las Palmas regularly. We stopped coming a while back and started visiting some more local establishments for the ease of getting in and out. Tonight was a different story. I decided to load everyone up and we headed to give the old trustworthy another shot. Very very disappointed. We walked in to a half full restaurant. After getting seated real quick our order for drinks and dinner was placed quickly. Drinks came fast. Dinner, not so much. Took 45 minutes to get our food. A combination plate. A chicken plate. A taco. And a cheese quesadilla (which didn't even make it out with our dinner). Beans and rice were lukewarm. Taco was lukewarm. Burrito and enchilada were overly spicy. All in all not good. This is the last time we will be dining here. If you are looking for a decent Mexican restaurant- do yourself a favor and go visit another spot. read more

Not fantastic - serviceable but probably wouldn't make a point to go. Nothing was bad or tasted bad, but nothing was great. Example - the ground beef was not seasoned or had no sauce in my enchiladas. The enchilada sauce was more like gravy; didn't taste very seasoned at all. We went to Las Palmas in Hermitage yesterday with my son and daughter. The chips with the salsa they were burnt and one of the waiters there a young man came out to the table and he didn't say anything and didn't greet us and when we gave him the credit card to take the payment he show no emotion and still said nothing. This is the only Mexican restaurant I will go to! I am never disappointed when I come here! They make every experience like the first! Amazing food quality. The drinks are just as good. Friendly staff. They apologize and quickly fix any mistakes that were made. If you don't leave here happy I'd be shocked! Oh and the cheese dip will melt your soul!
