We had an amazing lunch today at las palmas. We really like this place and don't get to go too much, but that makes it tastes that much better. The server was very friendly and intuitive to our needs, drinks, extra chips/ salsa, check. The restaurant wasn't crowded yet but we got there fairly early for lunch. Very bland food. I ordered the quac (appetizer) & a chicken quesadilla (entre). The quac was prepared very well, it just lacked any flavor. So we doused it with an incredible amount of salt. The chips were stale. The quesadilla was delivered without any slices, so I couldn't even eat it like a normal human (aka extremely difficult/messy). It was also filled with watered down refried beans, which turned it into a slip n slide of a quesadilla that became unrecognizable. I do not recommend this place whatsoever. Not upscale but very nice. Atmosphere is large, inclusive with lots of staff. Servers are everywhere and arrive quickly, like the food. Plenty of tvs, open areas and quieter spaces. Great for dates, families kids and groups. Always check their specials, pretty tempting. There is Not a bar; repeat, not a bar- but the drinks are good. It was pouring down rain and we were hungry and rather than drive all the way to Mt. Juliet to our favorite Mexican restaurant we stopped here. Should have taken the drive. While the staff was very nice the food was not. The chips were stale and cold. My hubby got the tacos and I got a taco salad with ground beef. They gave me chicken which I detest. The second try was limp lettuce with a very stale taco bowl and the taco shells on hubby's dish were also stale. We could never get a refill of water, but the nice thing the beer was cold. read more

This is our second Mexican go-to place simply for the food. The staff is friendly, but once you get your order, we have noticed they like to disappear for a while, but the last time we went, we had a great waitress that checked in with us when needed, which was great. I'm very picky with Mexican food, but I like the enchiladas here, and my son loves the quesadillas. There is something here for everyone; the building is huge, so I'm sure they get busy on the weekends, and the place fills up, but we usually go during the week when it's less crowded. Great place for a brunch, lunch or dinner! Easy going atmosphere and fantastic servers. Two of us did the make your own tacos and they were FANTASTIC. I got the mango sauce and it was a good pairing with a spicy taco. Couple that with a mango margarita and . It pairs very well with the tequila so it's not two different tastes at once, but one seamless experience. There are plenty of choices for all eaters or even the pickiest of them all. The salsa portion should be a teeny bit deeper because some of us love loading our chips with lots of salsa so it creates a bigger ratio of chips to salsa. read more

I placed an online order and paid $50 including a generous tip, and when we showed up to pick it up the restaurant was closed despite their online listing saying they are open and the website telling us to be there at that time to get our food. When I spoke with manager, Yovanni, two hours later to get my money back he laughed and said it's my fault but luckily he's hungry and will be happily eating my food. This place has it all let me tell you. My roommate and I are always on the hunt for good Mexican food and have tried most places in the area. We are kicking ourselves that it took us this long to try Las Palmas! Our server Emmanuel was incredibly attentive and so patient with our many questions. We ate our weight in cheese dip and salsa and we thought they were both great. Looking through the reviews. I'm surprised to even see a 1 star review. Me and my husband LOVE las palmas. We've been to nearly every location in Nashville and we've NEVER been disappointed. Each location is consistent. The food is always fresh, margaritas are top tier, and the employees are always nice . I can recall one out of the many times we visited....We had a bit of delayed service (slow service) but it was also super busy and we knew that their service wasn't always that way...so we gave it a pass. I highly recommend. My fave location is the one off of Hayes. We love sitting in the open glass area, if you want to bypass waiting in line/waiting list... the Antioch location is never really busy. read more

We used to eat here a few years ago. It was an OK joint. Then shrinkflation apparently.... We made the mistake of returning Sunday for lunch. Grabbed the Speedy. Menu only said "lettuce" as I don't like a lot of veg on my tacos - meat and cheese and salsa ftw! The wife said "hol up 3 bucks for a drink?" "Ok waters it is" - as no coke off tap is worth these 3 dollar highway robbery prices. Maybe the food is still good, but I quickly learned NOPE. There was probably less than a teaspoon of "shredded pork" on this incredibly lack-luster taco. They were like "let us get you a new plate" - no I dont want any more of this food.. I just want to leave. The waitresses doesnt want to respect my wishes to not eat this trash and brings out another plate, despite me asking her not to (this was probably so they could charge and not comp - and I wasn't even out for a comp, but they probably felt they had to if they didn't offer a new plate of the same garbage...) I was given ice cold Street Corn, burnt and greasy queso fundido and a cardboard flavored taco. This is now Las Palmas. $8 for a tiny ass "chimichanga"? The food came out 3 minutes after we ordered it during a busy lunch hour. Clearly it was fresh and made to order... On a less scathing note, I pulled out some of the chicken that was inside and it was dry as could be with hard, burnt ends. My boyfriend and I enjoyed a great meal here on our last night in Nashville. I think this used to be his regular place for Mexican when he was living in Nashville. It's pretty close to his family's home, so it's easy to get to. We really enjoyed our meal here when we came for dinner. It was getting pretty late, so we were able to enjoy a late dinner without a big crowd of people or a long wait to be seated. We were seated right away when we arrived. Our server was very friendly and attentive. She made sure we had everything we needed for our meal. The food was pretty standard for a Mexican restaurant. There wasn't really anything I could say was very different from any other. I can't ever really choose any standouts, but it was still very good and a great meal. I've found it hard living my culture within Nashville and enjoying some good mexican dishes because there isn't much good stuff around. But let me tell you. Ever regret paying for a meal??? I have been here three times in the last 2 months since moving into the neighborhood. The first two times were not terrible but certainly not great. After my meal there today I will never return. I ordered fajitas, which is a pretty simple dish. Absolutely disgusting! The tortillas were as though they had been laying around as if they had fallen behind the freezer. They found them and wrapped them in foil to bring to my table. The meat was dry and tasteless. We came for lunch after church today as this is one of our favorite Mexican places. We were a little later so we knew it would be busy and it was. We were still seated right away and chips/salsa and drink orders were taken right away. Our server Jesus was awesome! He was quick, made sure we had everything we needed, refilled our chips without asking and you could tell he was taking care of all his busy tables the same way.
