It is ok as far as TN Mexican food goes....Friendly service, fajitas, queso and taquitos are my favorite thing to get here....they forget things when we order for pick up sometimes...need to have better checks to make sure all the items are in the to go orders. I ordered takeout and expected a bill of about $17.... It was $29.xx. I ordered 2 quesadillas a la cart (supposed to be $3.99 each but were $6.99 each) and a bean dip (supposed to be $6.99, was only charged $0.50 more than expected). I did add mushrooms to the quesadillas so expected a small upcharge but instead was charged more than the expected cost of a full side of grilled mushrooms (which I did not get). The food was good but definitely not $30 worth. I could've gone next door and gotten some amazing Asian food for half the price. Next time I will. read more

Food here is a little different from traditional Mexican places. EX: Their Chili Rellenos are not deep fried, but the way they do them is pretty good. The cheese is an open faced relleno with red sauce and cheese oven fried. I also tried it with chicken and cheese, where they prepared it with melted cheese dip over a grilled relleno stuffed with diced chicken. Both actually really good, but I was surprised the first time I ordered it in expecting a deep friend rellano. Their "skinny" marg is still pretty sweet so not sure how skinny it is, but it is good. They have some of the best salsa I have ever had. Service is general quick and food always tastes fresh. read more

Went for late lunch on a Saturday afternoon. They were pretty busy, but we were seated right away. Let me just start by saying the chips and queso here are THE BEST in Mount Juliet! Hubs and I each ordered a different type of burrito. Me the California and hubs the Hot & Spicy. California burrito is huge! Very filling, just the guac was a little off for me. 4-stars for consistency and following the strict COVID measures. Sooo.... Cinco de Mayo isn't traditional Mexican food, but it is delicious and scratches that itch for spicy south of the border cuisine. My go to's here are the chili relleno, the California burrito and the tamales. Their tamales are awesome and even for a "chain Mexican restaurant" these tamales are pure fire. Definitely go with the chicken! Out of the three locations I've actually sat inside of, this one has to be my favorite. I love the bar area and no matter where you sit you don't feel like you're right on top of the people next to you, especially during Covid. Every other table is closed and all the waiters have masks on. If you don't feel like sitting inside, they offer to go orders and at some locations they even deliver! This place is decent. Not your traditional Mexican in my option but I've been several times and the food and margaritas have been pretty good. I wouldn't say it's my favorite Mexican place but if someone asked me to meet them for dinner here I would be fine going and know I could get something good to eat. Me and my family were here eating dinner yesterday evening everything was fine service was fine food was okay but not long after we were there we saw some bugs on the was didn't think much of it thought it was a fly at first but then kept seeing them and it turns out to be roaches we saw a total of maybe 5/6 crawling around where we were eating including on the wall beside our table. Unfortunately, we tried to tell our server and nothing was done. We paid and left. We will not be going back. read more

It was Saturday November 5th 2022. We went to eat there at 9:10 PM. The website and Google said they were open until 10:30 PM. We got seated and ordered and ate. We were enjoying ourselves (it was my Boyfriend and I) it was getting to be around 9:45 PM when the owner came to our table and started rushing us to leave when we still had our cheese dip. I explained your website and Google said 10:30. He said he didn't care and that we had to get out because we were the only customers and had to leave. I left my cheese dip I payed 5 bucks for... we spent $50 in there. We weren't causing trouble, I just got off work. That was the worse experience I've had at any restaurant in a long time. read more

If I could leave zero starts I would ,went in with my family tonight thinking we would have a good meal but was met with disappointment and rude service, waitress was telling us what stuff not to Order because it was made incorrectly or not good I ordered nachos and a side of fries as a family we realized the chips , fries and other parts of our meals were extremely spicy we decided to let management know and he proceeded to argue with us when all we were doing was informing him , we found out he was drunk I don't know what kind of establishment this is but do not eat here. read more

Quality food, impeccable taste, fresh selections, excellent value, trendy decor, lively music, and a friendly atmosphere--Cinco de Mayo's "Old Hickory" location just off of Lebanon Road provides a healthy array of Authentic Traditional Mexican dishes coupled with a great kids menu. Service is consistently prompt, servers are knowledgeable, and the staff is always courteous and attentive no matter what time you visit with a relatively short wait-time even during some of the most popular peak dining hours evenings. I've placed countless takeout (aka "To-Go") orders over the phone and my expectations have always been exceeded to my recollection. Priority is clearly given to customer satisfaction in a way that is welcomed and refreshingly consistent among all Cinco de Mayo locations in the greater Nashville area. It is evident that their workplace culture appears healthy and vibrant encompassing good leadership filtering from the top-down as management sincerely cares about the dining experience of their customers and equally important is that their employees always appear happy and eager to jump in and help where needed which translates directly to the very reason that I likely am a repeat customer at Cinco de Mayo. The server copied my debit card and then tried to go on a shopping spree. Thank God my bank stopped the transaction before it could be completed. The only bad thing is I can't prove it and this person will probably strike again. If you do eat here, use cash. As for myself, I will never eat here again. I'm thinking about reporting this place to ICE. read more

The first time we went here was a bad experience. Every restaurant is bound to have them from time to time. However, we were enticed to go again recently and had a much better experience all around. Service was much quicker, friendly, and the food & drinks were excellent, in true Cinco de Mayo fashion. All in all, we'd go here again in a pinch, or if someone specifically invited us here, but we still prefer the CDM on Nonaville Rd. Absolute, hands-down best Mexican restaurant in 20 miles. Way to go CDM! Keep it up and you have lifetime customers! read more

DO NOT GO HERE DRIVE TO THE OLD HICKORY ONE INSTEAD RUDE MANAGEMENT AT THIS LOCATION!!! When a business advertises that they open and close at certain times they should honor that instead of diverting from the schedule in a careless lazy manner. I cannot express how unprofessional it is to close an hour before advertised and then to top it off every employee is just standing around hands in their pockets laughing in your face proudly saying "we closed an hour early". It was extremely unprofessional not to mention disrespectful. The worst part is that my order wasn't for me it was for a customer of mine. By doing this they not only lost one customer, but several, AND cost me money on top of it... Also... if your going to close early you should probably turn off your open sign and lock the door. I don't even remember the taste of the food. What I do remember though is the time I came in with my high school's volleyball team. When the dude charged me $8 for some queso and a sprite, but the original receipt said like $4, I got a little confused. So i questioned the ticket and got told that if I cant afford to eat there, to just go to taco bell. "They have the same stuff for cheaper". Dude was lucky me and friend were laughing at how pathetic he looked. I think I took it a little personal, but this review is totally worth it. I've never had an experience like that with any business in my life, crazy. No joke, before that visit I always hosted my birthday dinners there. Now me and my family will never return to any Cinco De Mayo cause some angry short-wager got mad he couldn't handle a high volume of business. Now that I look back on it though, maybe they charged me extra on my ticket cause we had a party of like 20-30. I think they do the auto-tip thing. read more

Great food and margaritas! The chicken fajitas were the best I ever had, so I had to tip the kitchen! For a house margarita it was really tasty! The service was quick and friendly! If there were negative stars I would most definitely put them. We walked into the restaurant and our waiter look at us with complete disgust. They have been really rude and they had charged us for asking for more salsa. Chips and salsa are free if you have a meal also. Also asked to speak to the manager and they were very rude I would never recommend coming AT ALL!!!!!!!!! Our waiter's name Luciano! read more

We're regulars at the Cinco de Mayo in Hermitage but this was our first time to this location. We went at 11 a.m. on Sunday morning so no crowd and no wait. This is a fave hangout for my friends and I. I don't care for the salsa (I hate onions, and there is waaaay too much onion for me to tolerate). But the queso is yummy. We order grilled jalapeños which are AMAZING and pair deliciously with chips and queso. My favorite dish is pollo encramado. Sometimes I ask for no chicken and double the mushrooms. I'm pretty sure the Chile Relleno I ordered was frozen, it was warm on the outside and cold and soggy on the inside. Sides were cold, taco filling was cold. Nothing seemed to have been seasoned. And with no server checking to see if we needed anything, we couldn't ask for it to be heated. The server wasn't rude or ugly with us; she just would rather scroll on her phone than check in on us. I could / would have just asked her to heat the food to make it edible if she'd have come around. As it was, I took a couple of bites and was just done. Really bad. Go to Cinco de Mayo instead...it's what we should have done.

We both ordered salads and can't wait till they come. The bar has 26 taps...wow, quite the selection of drafts. The salads were wonderful. I intend to revisit and get the cheeseburger.

No response, as soon as I got my order he ran from the window because he knew he messed it up. Wouldn't return when I knocked on the window and honked the horn. What a POS! I was wondering if the food was safe to eat when I left. This is a shame, the ladies that use to work there were so great.

When you walk in, you order to the right, next to the drink cooler. They have a smallish seating area with a bar, plenty of space for a sandwich shop, and a big screen tv that was showing a Back to the Future movie. We ordered: - BLT (Thursday it is the Thursday special and comes with fries and a drink for $12) - Cheesesteak (obviously) with onions, with cheese wiz as the Lord intended - Mozzarella Jawns - I've never heard of that before but they're a very wide, sorta flatish cheese stick. I think they are named after an app from Bar Jawn in Manayunk (a Philadelphia neighborhood). Took it to go. It comes with house made chips and I ate those most of the way home. I'm normally not a fan of house made kettle style chips but these were great! Too salty for my husband but just right for me so your mileage may vary. The hot out of the fryer mozzarella and fries did not fare well on the 12 minute drive home but when I got to the house I popped them in the air fryer and they crisped back up to perfection. My husband had the BLT and he said it was delicious. The bacon was a little more crisp than he does it for himself but that's a personal preference thing. The tomatoes and lettuce were very fresh. As a BLT aficionado, he was a fan. The real star here was the cheesesteak. My husband said "this is better than the cheesesteaks I've had in Philadelphia" and he was not wrong. The meat was cooked perfectly, chopped and tender. Seasoned but not so much that the onions couldn't shine. Onions were browned and lightly softened, not soggy. The bread was delicious, soft and soaked in their homemade cheese wiz. Their cheese wiz? A national treasure. If I could order it by the tub I would and I'd never struggle to get my kids to eat their veggies again. It's that good. The whole thing was a 12/10. I have pictures but they're blurry because I couldn't sit the sandwich down long enough to photograph it so I'll rely on others for that. TL;DR - Go get a cheesesteak.

A real deal hoagie roll that does not get soggy but does soak up the juices. I had Provolone but Whiz or sharp cheddar is available (if you must) Totally delicious and satisfying. Took me back to my youth on the South Side Of Philadelphia. The Italian Hoagie is made with real Italian meats - Hot cap, mortadella, salami and pepperoni. The potato chips are cut and fried in tallow by the owner. Same with the shoe string fries. They are worth the trip all by themselves. Tallow....yum. If you eat healthier, there is a chicken salad served as a sandwich or salad that is amazing. The chicken is brined for two days then roasted in-house. Only a Chef/owner who loves what he does would go to that trouble. Huge portions on every item we ordered. I mean HUGE - come hungry to Milestone, leave full. The service was friendly and helpful. The restaurant was clean and airy. If you craze cheesesteaks, hoagies or well made home cooked Deli food- get in your car and drive to Milestone Craft Deli. You can thank me latter
