Our family has been going to this restaurant for over 30 years, and never had a negative experience until tonight. My wife ordered her favourite beverage ( non-alcoholic pina colada ) to go along with her meal. She took a couple of sips and asked me to taste it because it tasted like it had sat out for awhile. I tasted it and agreed that it didn't taste right. I asked our waitress if they would remake my wifes drink, and our waitress said she'd check on it for us. We sat there trying to enjoy our meal while watching our waitress ignoring us. I then proceeded to ask another waiter to see if he could remake the drink. After asking us what was wrong with the drink he informed us that it appeared that half of the non-alcoholic pina colada had been drank, and that he'd be willing to make my wife 1/2 of another non-alcoholic pina colada, because he said it was against company policy to replace any drinks that were drank half-way. We were totally dissatisfied with his solution, so we declined the offer. We then asked him to please just take take the drink off of our final bill. Unfortunately the restaurant was unwilling to remove the drink from our bill. We paid the $65 tab and did not leave any grantuity because of the subpar service that we recieved. We nicely informed the cashier as we were paying the bill that we were never coming back because of the poor experience that we had tonight. Is this how Las Margaritas treat loyal guests who've been patrons for more then thirty years? You didn't just lose my wife and I, you've lost our entire family, our friends, and our co-workers all over a poorly made beverage followed up with extremely bad customer service. We will never return after this poor experience and we will notify the people in our social circle about how this experience made us feel. read more

I feel like I can tell how good a Mexican restaurant will be from its salsa. The salsa served with chips here is almost like tomato sauce. There isn't enough flavor. It looks like they updated their menu since I was last here, as all entrees are now over $22, unless you order a combo. The space is good for groups with multiple tables and booths to choose from. There's also a bar area in the back, but it's loud from the TVs playing sports. The dining room also gets loud when there are multiple groups, so it depends on what kind of atmosphere you prefer. Their staff is attentive, making sure to refill water cups and chips and salsa when requested. Unfortunately, the food is mediocre. read more

OK, this is a really hard one for me to give this review. I've gone to this place so many times in the past and it's always been great and amazing first off. Let's start the port parking this place is centrally located like on 143rd and Aurora they have their own parking lot easily to get to off the freeway lots of parking. Customer service is amazing. The ambience is OK but it's always a little too loud in there for me, let's get to the most important part of the food. Their food used to be amazing today we ordered three meals. They were all garbage. The quality was low and the two margarita and daiquiris we had were very watered down. It was definitely a waste of $100 sad to say I would be OK if I never returned and at this rate wasting the money I probably won't. You can have his best customer service as you can, but if the quality of the food wasn't good, I'll pass. read more

Located right on the edge of town, on the Seattle to shoreline border, is a quaint cozy looking authentic Mexican restaurant that has a genuine homestyle Mexican feel. The people are very nice and they understand English very well so you don't have to speak spanish. I had the macho burrito with everything and it was delicious. My only gripe was that the hamburger they used is prefab, meaning I believe that it comes in packages already ground and seasoned which does not taste as good as freshly ground hamburger with taco seasoning added. That aside they were very generous with the meat and my burrito came out weighing all of about four pounds. It came with just about everything you could ask for, rice, meat, beans, tomatoes, lettuce, sour cream, guacamole (which I really don't like and I opted out). I also was not sure if they're salsa was homemade or not but it was watery. It didn't have enough chunks for my taste but it was still good. For my friend I ordered two crispy tacos at $3.84 each with chicken and they also look delicious, I definitely want to try a few of those next time. They also have shredded beef which I will pay the extra $1.50 for when I get the macho burrito again. I also want to try their chicken enchiladas as these are my favorite kinds of Mexican foods. Of course they have the usual Mexican sodas and the full bar. Average price per person hovers around $14 each and all the cart items are about four to six dollars each depending. I ordered my burrito to go so I had to sacrifice the chips and salsa but that's okay. As always, they come complimentary if you sit down to eat. It's really very cozy inside and it's really enjoyable on a cold day or a rainy day and yes I plan on going back there. The only other Mexican restaurant that I like better was La taqueria in greenwood. A good place for families to dine. I didn't see a kids menu, though. read more

Dined in with 2 other family members this evening. Here is what we liked: 1) Seated as soon as we entered; the greeting staff was cordial and sincere. Could not have been nicer. 2) Salsa; all three said yes, quite good 3) Dinners were very tasty X3 4) Prices were fair for the quality of the food X3 5) Modelo Especial cold and fresh; went with the food 6) Service by Olga was attentive, friendly and considerate, low-keyed; she tended to our every need. Here is what we did not like: 1) Having to leave such a great dining experience. This was a near-perfect dining experience. The diner in our group that ordered tortilla soup (hold the tortillas!) was treated with a large bowl of steaming seasoned broth accompanied by a plate of many ingredients that were added separately (no tacos). An interesting approach, wihile well received. I regret not tipping Olga more for this special accommodation. However, I'd like to express my appreciation with the special request. One of the diners in our group said she had been craving Mexican cuisine all week, looking forward to our dine out plans: totally pleased and her craving was satisfied. I have lived nearby for over 22 years and finally ventured over to Las Margaritas at their Seattle location at 145th & Aurora, right at the Seattle-Shoreline border (4/25/24). Throughout the decades driving past, the large parking lot always seem to be full. There are three other locations in Auburn, Marysville, and Issaquah. Welcoming waitstaff, festive interior, plentiful seating, huge menu, and ginormous servings. Plus Happy Hour specials at the bar. Even saw someone nearby order a huge platter of oysters in the shell. Goodness the waitstaff are strong hoisting such huge, hot platters from the kitchen to one's table! The goods: Free chips & salsa Large Coke w/refills ($4) Queso Fundido w/tortillas ($13.95) #28 Enchiladas Suizas w/chicken, refried beans, rice, tomatillo sauce, cheese, and a dollop of sour cream ($18.95) Chicken Culiche w/huge chicken filet covered with poblano mushroom cream sauce, refried beans, rice, and coleslaw ($23.95) Churros w/whipped cream, drizzled w/chocolate and strawberry syrup ($6.50) Lots of food placed in takeout boxes. I feel like I'm on a never ending quest for good...ok decent Mexican food options in Seattle. I don't know what's going on up here, but I've had so much bad Mexican food that I'm about to give up. I came in here for lunch and ordered a chile relleno/chicken enchilada combo with rice and beans. 2 stars for the meal alone. The best thing on the plate was the rice and beans. The rice was really good and I ate that all up. The chicken enchilada was filled with dry, unseasoned chicken. It tasted like chalk in my mouth so I stopped eating that. Now the most offensive thing on the plate was the chile relleno because its not a chille relleno, but rather an omelet. I took it apart and saw a wet poblano pepper encased in egg. Just egg. The made it look appetizing by burying it in cheese and sauce, but it was still flavorless and horrible. DO NOT ORDER CHILE RELLENO HERE. As a veggie lover the taco salad was lacking. It came with one slice of tomato, a very small amount of cheese and not a lot of lettuce. Although it did come with a good amount of chicken. The chicken was lightly flavored and a bit dry. We also got a chimichanga with rice and beans. The rice and beans were very good, but the chicken in the chimichanga was also a little dry. My daughter had a blended margarita for $10.95. I chose the Combo #4 Burrito (ground beef) plate for $15.95 + $1.50 up-charge for cheese. My daughter ordered the Carne Asada for $27.95: skirt steak butterflied and flame-broiled to order. Served with refried beans, rice, guacamole, and tortillas. My dad ordered the Combo #14 Two Enchiladas (chicken) plate for $15.95. I ordered the Pork Carnitas to-go for my wife for $24.95: Michoacán-style braised baby back pork rib carnitas with whole beans, rice, and Pico de gallo. Service was friendly. Great little place! Went here for a quick bite on my day off and was not disappointed. Started with the classic chips and salsa. The salsa was mild and flavorful. The server/ host was very kind and after finding out it was my first time there he made a few suggestions. I ended up going with shredded beef enchiladas, rice and beans. The meal was great. It had a mix of beef and some sort of green pepper. I wish it had sour cream or more sauce on the enchiladas. Overall, a solid 4/5 for this location. While waiting to meet up with someone in the area, we decided to grab dinner at Las Margaritas. Definitely a great choice! They're doing an AWESOME job of ensuring safety. This was the first time I've walked into a restaurant and have been temperature checked at the door. All the staff is masked up and wearing gloves, too. There weren't many people in here at all, but they were doing a good job of making sure everybody was seated far apart from each other. Another cool thing we noticed - QR code menus! There's one taped in the booth and they also drop one off at the table, which I don't understand... But it's cool that this is how they're doing things. The menu is really long on your phone, but it's probably the safest method I've seen. Started with the complimentary chips & salsa, obvi. The salsa here is great. For my entree, I went with the #4 1 Burrito Combo. It comes with a burrito with your choice meat, along with rice, beans, and slaw. I got a beef burrito. They only come topped with cheese, so if you want guac/sour cream/etc. you'll have to ask for it. The burrito tasted great and I loved the sides. For two entrees, a beer, and a soda, it was $40 before tip. Not crazy cheap but also not breaking the bank. Took my daughter here for lunch. Walked in and was seated promptly. I ordered an avocado tostada and she ordered the macho burrito. We both ordered drinks. We waited for 20 minutes for our drinks before they came. The restaurant was about half full and our waiter was hard to find. When the drinks arrived, we were quite hungry and ordered chips and gu to tide us over before our food arrived. The chips and guacamole came after another 20 minutes wait. Unfortunately, our food orders arrived soon after and we were given the wrong orders. In telling our waiter these were the wrong orders, he said there was a mixup in the kitchen. He refused to replace the orders, unless we paid for the wrong order. He became insistent that we could not get a replacement order for the wrong orders that were sent out by the kitchen. Being hungry, we ate the wrong orders and paid the bill. I have never been told I cannot return an incorrect order, that was a mistake in the kitchen. I was looking for a nice lunch break, not a confrontation. The food we got was not good, mostly rice and beans. For this, the charge was 55.00 for soda pop and lunch entrees. Cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone. Poor service and unpalatable food. read more

Family owned and operated - or at least family members (mother-daughter) are servers. The folks are very friendly, professional, quick with the huge plates of delicious Mexican food. The seafood entrees are really special - consider the not-too-common steamed clams in Mexican style, and the seafood enchiladas, which are amazing. If someone thinks this is standard Mexican food, I think they might have been ordering a bean burrito or cheese enchilada. But if you are adventurous enough to try some of the seafood or carne asada, it's head and shoulders above other standard places. When we celebrate a birthday or graduation or other event with kids, we like to go here so the grownups can get something special and the kids something more traditional. A win-win solution. I love street tacos, and have ordered them at many restaurants in the area. These were the worst. I paid 13.95 for "steak" tacos. In three, I got perhaps 1/2 oz total meat, not chopped, but MINCED. With that minuscule meat serving, there was also about a tablespoon of finely chopped vegetations. Flavor was almost nonexistent. There were four of us. Two had hamburgers, which were fine, and one had a chicken enchilada which he said were "nothing special." The ambience was nice, wait staff was friendly and efficient, hence the two stars. But was our lunch, which included a soda, an apple juice and a beer, worth $95 plus tip? Definitely not! read more

I hate giving negative reviews but this place is a big NAH... for me. Service was great but food, not good. Beans were slightly Alpo-ish and queso fundido was probably Tostitos white queso from a jar. Hubby had fajitas and he said dry and bland. Our friend had chicken something and the pieces of chicken were about 1/4 thick and cooked to eternity and beyond. Really disappointed with the food. The service was awesome but I probably won't be back. If it was only one dish that failed, maybe but not when it was all three. read more

I came in at 11am so we were the first customers. The restaurant is clean and closed of every other booth for social distancing. The server did check our temperature prior to seating us. There was only one server but she was great. It started to pick up but she handled all tables really well. We didn't wait for our food too long. We both ordered the carne asada dinner entree.
