They let me choose from 2 different designs, but I went with the older one. This is a small building, but it feels cozy inside. The bookstore only takes cash or check since there isn't a way for them to take card payments, and they have so many cute postcards! I like how they have them on a rack because most places I've been to, they're just in a box. Anyway, they have so many resources here, despite the size. I was happy to discover magazines and major newspapers like the LA Times, Orange County Register, NY Times, and even a Korean one. I was also given a paper of all the locations within the county where the card is applicable.

The environment is perfect; people are quiet and respectful, tables are large enough for several students to put down books, protractors and compasses, you can bring in a sealed drink and they have computers for math tutorials. While it is a policy to attend a min amount of hours I easily surpass that studying here. Unfortunately this place is not 24/7 so I am at times at the mercy of finding bookstores to study at. I have not been tutored yet but the tutors always seem freindly and helpful so I feel confident if I need help I will be ok. For now, I do enjoy this place very much. Inspired by Jaime Escalante and several others I see positive change in my future. I seek to reach the young adults who want to do thier best with math, as I do. His grade has jumped up significantly and is maintaining an A in middle school and got into English honor in high school. Mr. You's class is very different then other writing classes. He would customize his lessons to your kids English level, seeing and helping your weaknesses. His classes usually include writing, grammar, vocabulary, and learning how to research. He also teaches different levels such as elementary writing all the way to college levels. I usually have my son take his summer courses to work ahead and prepare him for his next school year. Year after year Mr. You's classes prepares my son to do well. By following his program my son has built a good foundation for his future English courses. I can always text them for a quick and easy communication rather than calling and playing phone tag. After every session I get an e-mail with notes from her instructor sharing what they covered in the lesson and how it went with a list of things she did well and things she can continue to practice. Also, the sessions are easy to use and set up, it's just a link to click in an e-mail instead of downloading or installing Zoom or any other platform on the device. If I want them to cover any specific homework assignment, workbook, skill or even state testing practice they incorporate that into the session for us. I would highly recommend them!

I called the main line, the agent apologized and was trying to get ahold of the doula. I was told I would be notified later the day of any updates that she was probably busy with work/clients. I did not receive a call. The next day I called to follow up, the agent was apologetic that it has never happened before and if I could be rescheduled due to a last minute work emergency. I've worked as an Er Rn for years and am very familiar of the nature of a healthcare job, so I accepted to be rescheduled for 6pm next week. Then I get another call if I can be rescheduled for 6:30pm instead. I was hesitant to move forward at that point but ended up accepting after being reassured that the doula will be there. Once again, logged in, waiting for the doula session, no show-- again ! No communication from anyone. I called the company, closed, left a voicemail. And also I reached out via text. I get a text back from the agent saying that the doula had another work crisis and running late but that she will be there. I waited for 30 minutes, the allotted time for the meeting, nothing. I am moving on to another company. If a candidate is so stretched thin to even meet, then why even take on another assignment. I am 37 weeks pregnant, I can only imagine how it would be if I stick around in this company. No shows, no communication, like what is the point. I don't think this company is worth it.
