I absolutely love our city, and I am completely in love with this park! The dog park is great. Real grass can get a little muddy and dirty, but artificial grass can sometimes hold onto the smell, so it's definitely a Catch-22. Either way, my dog loves it, and that's what matters! There are also so many great activities for families. I love walking around while my daughter plays on the sand volleyball court, and she and her friends have had several fun hangouts here. It's just an all-around great location and a wonderful community park. Thank you to the City of La Habra for giving our families such a great space. And definitely come see one of the concerts in the park--they are amazing! read more

Vin Scully Centennial Park is a nice local spot for a casual walk or getting outside for a bit. The park is clean, well maintained, and has a nice walking path, open green space, courts, and areas for families and dogs. It can definitely get pretty crowded during busy hours and weekends, but overall it's still a pleasant place to spend some time outdoors. I especially like coming here for an evening walk when the weather is nice. It's a great addition to La Habra and you can tell the city put a lot into renovating the space. Just be prepared for limited shade and bigger crowds depending on the time of day. read more

This park felt like it took forever to finally open. I lived in the area for about 6 years and this was just an open field for a very long time. The park has a long driving path that goes around the entire park. So you can't easily get in and out, you have to go all the way around. There are restrooms, I did not check it out so can't speak for those. The concept of the park is great. Lots of different options for activities, from beach volleyball to basketball, a fairly large playground, and 2 dog parks. So why only 3 stars? There's practically zero shade. Very few trees planted except for the few they left behind from its previous life. There were full grown trees here, not sure why they removed them. You'd think they would've at least set up some canopies or something in the playground area but nope, hot plastic equipment waiting to burn your kids. There are picnic tables but no shade at all. So if you come here for a picnic or anything, be prepared to sit in the sun/heat. read more

This park is great! They have finished a lot in the short amount of time. We attended a concert in the park featuring No Duh and it was crowded and fun! Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. They brought their chairs and wagons, good and drinks it was neat! They also had some tents with food and beverages. If you don't want to wait in a long line then bring your own picnic. They also had funnel cake for sale! The pickle ball, volleyball and basketball courts are great! There's a playground, dog parks (big and small sides) just a great outdoor spot! The brand new park and first ever Dog Park in La Habra is finally here!! An excellent and long awaited addition to the neighborhood. The park features a Playground, open field, a walking path with exercise equipment, a basketball court, 3 pickleball courts, a Beach Volleyball court, La Habra's first ever Dog Park, an Amphitheater, picnic areas with outdoor charcoal grills, and a Gazebo! First impressions, this was an excellent use of space for the surrounding neighborhoods. As there are MANY apartment/Condo/mobile home communities surrounding the park. Residents and Families will certainly enjoy having an open space to have fun and exercise. The only concerns after visiting the new park is the park hours and lighting at night. I haven't been able to fight hours posted. Im hoping the hours won't be from dusk to dawns as it's opened right after Daylight savings time. Since it gets dark at 5pm now it would be poor planning to close the park before most people even get off work. Secondly, there are no lights by the Basketball/Pickleball courts. This is super disappointing because I've been desperately waiting for them to finish so I can have a place to play basketball. It also seems like a safety issue as a large portion is unlit. Very grateful to the city of La Habra for the park and hoping that they extend the park hours to 10pm as well and put in lights so that people have a place to go and exercise after work, especially during the Winter season. read more

Vin Scully Centennial Park is beautiful. It has a paved walking trail and exercise machines every few feet along the path. Plenty of room for group activities but that area lacks shade or covered areas. It does have tennis courts, basketball courts and a volleyball court with sand...cool. The playground for young kids is great but could use some shade. Parking is okay but once people learn about this park, more parking will definitely be needed. Very clean park and facilities. Perfect for beginners wanting to talk a walk early in the mornings or in the afternoon. Also they have a dog park with areas for small dogs and larger dogs. Recommend a quick visit and it may become your favorite little park. read more

Dog park is nice, not enough shade and the group of people who play pickle ball every Saturday and Sunday morning are pricks and take up all 3 courts and spend hours not letting anyone play. read more

Dog park always over packed 10-15 dogs per side, they close the gates to the public at sunset. Not a community friendly location. Putting limitations and restrictions to community members that work later shifts. Someone who gets off work around sunset this place doesn't offer me and many others people in the community the accessibility to the dog park that we deserve. 24/7 access is a great accommodation to all of those who live in the area. But that's not a reality, locking up a public space at dusk is a shame and inconvenient for those who work past dusk. Wish the City of La Habra would give unlimited access to us community members since it is our new tax payers facility. read more

Nice small clean park however if you are elderly or with kids and you come when the sun is out you ain't staying for very long cause there is absolutely no shade. None! It does have one small gazebo but no table or bench. SMH. read more

I went today for the first time. There is a playground for the children, walking paths for adults, and dog parks for the big and small dogs. It is a beautiful park. Thanks La Habra. My reason for going today was to take my dog to the dog park. The big dog park is closed and under renovation. The big dogs use a temporary park which is actually the small dog park divided into two. I'm thankful for that. The dogs do get to run/play on grass. There are water fountains that provide water for the dogs. In the summer the dog parks would be too hot and there aren't any trees to provide shade for humans or dogs. There are very few places to sit down as well. read more

The park itself looks really nice but my review is from a parent perspective of the playground. First for being a "gated" playground, there is still an opening without a door to keep the kids in, my autistic son tries to elope once in a while so I was hoping it was actually fully gated. Secondly, there is absolutely no shade. Benches are only on the outside of the play area with one bench being placed directly in front of the opening. My biggest reason to rate low is the amount of times my two kids (9 & 5) got hurt in some way. We also witnessed a few other kids get hurt. The slides are not a sleek plastic, they have a texture to it that keeps kids from going down smooth. My 9 year old burned the underside of her leg bad. Then the positioning of the safety harness on the zip line and the special needs seat for the swing caused my 5 year old to hit his chin and lip. He did have a swollen lip and some inside the mouth bleeding from the zip line seat. We have videos of all these incidents too. Another child got hurt from the larger individual spin seat and we also saw another kid get hurt on the slide going down. Mind you all of these things happened within a span of 20 minutes. My daughter asked if we could never come back. read more
