From the moment I sat down, I knew that I had found a unique dining experience; I mean it's fairly hard to find a mariachi band at 2:00 pm on a Saturday; and who else serves complimentary ceviche with their chips and salsa?! After looking at the extensive menu for 15 minutes, I decided on the pasta dish with shrimp, mussels, and scallops served over linguine and a buttery cream sauce that I wanted to order extra toast to lick the plate with. A truly fantastic meal!! Well done!

Service was great. Our waitress Crystal went above and beyond to give us wonderful service. The food was fresh. I felt as if I was back in my home state of Texas eating off the coast

The Pineapple something. Cheesy seafood in a pineapple. It was pretty good.

This place was really good! I'm so glad my friend invited me here. Their ceviche was the bomb!! It's a fun atmosphere. I can't wait to come back and try more. I had the ceviche with fish, shrimp, scallops, and octopus in there it was pretty good. I also had the oysters which were not worth it, I would not get oysters here again, it wasn't bad, it was just small and not the best. I got the pineapple entree thing which was good, it was really cheesy and full of seafood!

A very fun spot, love the decor and the music (though they did have radio on and live music at the same time -- not a great spot for conversation if you're more than 2 people). The piña relleno is beautiful and a cool idea, but was just ok. The insides were warm not hot (despite the broiled cheese on top smoking deliciously). The octopus (one of the fish inside) was overcooked. I was surprised it didn't have any pineapple IN the dish. The guacamole was good but pretty salty or maybe lime-y. The fish "skins" though we're AWESOME. Great crispy fish-fry breading and soft white fish inside (not just fried fish skins).

I went to Las Islas Marias for lunch today. As soon as you are seated you are greeted by a waiter/waitress with water, salsa (hot and mild) and a small bowl of ceviche. I went with 2 coworkers who are hispanics. They both ordered before I did and then I followed by ordering shrimp quesadillas. They were very good and flavorful. I also ordered a bowl of queso that never showed up nor did it show up on my bill, so I am not sure if the waiter understood English very well or not. However, the meal that I ordered (from the appetizer list) was just enough to fill me up and send me on my way satisified. I would love to go back and try something on the entree list. It all looks so fresh and tasty. I highly recommend this restaurant.

A lot to choose from

Loved the food. Best guacamole ever nice and chunky. Serving are quite large. Great service so friendly. Menu is in Spanish but is translated beneath each item. Had shrimp fajitas must have been a pound of shrimp. Couldn't even eat the beans, rice or salad. Enjoyed my soft drink in the can. Had the feel and taste of old Mexico even the music. Can't wait to go back. My friend said this is now my favorite Mexican restaurant and that's saying a lot coming from her. Salsa unusual color but taste fantastic with the large chips which was also served with ceviche, that was excellent.

This place is great! If you want the authentic mariscos experience this is the place to be. Being from LA where we have tons of delicious marisco restaurants I couldn't find a relatable one until I found this place. The portions are great tons of octopus and shrimp in the cocktails, waiters are pretty good at being on top of their tables, had a great time here will be returning next week lol

I order shrimps zarandiados and pay $23.00 for the food. They took long to serve my food and my food was cold.

Don Antonios is one of the best street taco joints/carniceria/tortilleria in Kansas City,…read moreKansas...I might as well say in the KC Metro! I've eaten there for years, but one of my recent stops made me realize it's more than just the food. Please read on.... An immigrant showed me friendship in food, even though I was a stranger. The place was packed and the only open table was where the workers sit. I was by myself, but one of the restaurant workers came up with her lunch and gestured to me if she could sit at the table. I smiled and said "Si." I noticed she was eating birria tacos with consomme and it looked delicious. She saw me and laughed, said something in Spanish which I think translated into "Would you like some birria and consomme?" I nodded yes and she went back to the kitchen and returned with a small container. You can tell from the video the broth was rich, the birria was tender and fatty (but in the best way)! I tried to convey to her it was great and thank you. She asked me something in Spanish and I could only respond in a gringo "Que'?" I finally used Google Translate and she was asking if I worked nearby. I was dressed in my blue collar clothes! I used the App to tell her I drove in from my part of town and she smiled and laughed. I think she understood how much I loved eating at Don Antonios, because I would drive at least 25 minutes to eat there. If she only knew I'm there every week! This experience reinforced what I already knew. Immigrants are kind and caring people. Just like my grandparents when they arrived in America before WWII. I also know what my family and I have experienced when you don't look like the majority.... Just my two cents and a tip of the hat to an immigrant who showed me friendship in food, even though I was a stranger.

The menu is huge, packed with endless combinations of classic favorites and unique twists, so there's truly something for everyone. If you dine in, do not skip the complimentary chips and salsa bar. I've stopped in several times and keep coming back for the No. 20. It's incredibly filling and almost always leaves me with leftovers to take home (which I consider a win). Every meal has been consistently good--I haven't had a disappointing bite yet. The restaurant itself is clean and comfortable, with plenty of tables and booths. Fantastic dinner!…read more Amazing food! I had Mole Enchilada with rice, and ordered seasonal vegetables as side. Our table also had table side guacamole and salsa and chips. That mole was amazing! I'll be back - the mole and guac makes my mouth water thinking about it. The Mole Enchilada with chicken was so delicious - deep flavor with juicy shredded chicken. The seasonal vegetables included broccolini, carrots, and asparagus - slightly crunchy, just the way I liked them cooked! I also had a La Chimosa cocktail - c a m a r e n a tequila blanco, l i m e, a g a v e, g r a p e f r u i t soda, passion fruit - pretty good. I enjoyed the ambiance - lots of beautiful art on the walls, subtle lighting, green plants, tasteful decorations, table lines, and relaxed atmosphere. We were there on a Monday night - it wasn't busy. It was a great place to go for our business group of five. Servers were friendly, especially the woman at the front as you entered. We had a nice chat while I waited for the rest of our table to arrive. They validated parking in the garage next door - so keep that in mind if street parking is unavailable. Pricing was what I would expect for this nice location. It was $$ to $$$ depending on what you ordered. I would definitely go back and recommend!
