Best place around for Taco Tuesdays! $.99 hard or soft tacos, either shredded chicken, shredded beef, or ground beef, and unlimited free chips and salsa. We come back every week for the shredded beef tacos. It's literally juicy beef roast on a taco with white cheese, shredded lettuce, and a sprinkle of tomatoes. Clean restaurant, excellent staff! read more

Ajuua - Taco Tuesday! $.99 SHREDDED Beef are amazing! - Mexican Near Me - Tonganoxie, Kansas

We have driven past this place several times so decided to try it. Chips and fresh salsa were solid. Free queso didn't have much flavor and a tad watery. My GB burrito was decent. Refried beans had zero flavor, needed seasoned. Service was solid. Overall just lacked flavor, definitely needed seasoning. read more

I give one star because I didn't have the option to give none. Seriously the WORST food I've ever had. the margaritas were gross, we ate less than half of our food... our bill was almost $70 for 2 lunch plates and 1 marg on special. As for service... same as the rest. There was a server, but she wasn't good. A very expensive learning experience. read more

We had a large group (9), including 2 kids. All the food was great, the service quick and friendly, and we loved the frozen mango margs! First time in Tonganoxie, but pleasantly surprised with Ajuua Tacos and Tequila! read more

Out of town visitors stopping for lunch. It was hopping on a Monday, with lots of locals in for lunch. Service was friendly and super quick. Our food came out in no time! The chips were crisp, the salsa was thick, our entrees were piping hot, and the drink refills were flowing. We were very satisfied and glad we stopped by. read more

The wait staff here likes to hide the ticket and just give you a dollar amount to pay. Seems very shady, I like to see what I am being charged, before paying. read more

Went here late after an event and have to say this place is pretty awesome and authentic. They have really good music playing in the background with plenty of tv's all around. The whole place is rather small giving it such a nice and cozy feel. The service was prompt and excellent. I got the combo #5 that had a taco, enchilada, and a chili relleno. One thing I noticed is this place does not go light in cheese. As much of a cheese fan as I am, I was very pleased with my meal. I have to say that this place may have received 5 stars from me but I noticed the bathroom was out of both soap and paper towels. I'm glad it was towards the end of the night or that would have been concerning. All in all this is a must stop to get some authentic Mexican cuisine. read more

Excellent food and service! I drive by everyday and it is always busy-and with good reason. I had the steak Colorado and my wife had Pollo Feliz. I think the Pollo Feliz was the better dish. It was a chicken breast, shrimp, sautéed mushrooms , red peppers, and onions, served with Spanish rice and refried beans-should've taken a picture. Both were served steaming hot. The wait staff was friendly and attentive. I will be back! I definitely recommend should you desire Mexican food. read more

Let me start by saying the food was good. Not any different than any other Mexican place we have been to , though. The one thing that made my experience bad to the point we won't be back was the SERVICE. LWe came in and immediately got seated, but the one woman serving and taking orders was incredibly RUDE! No smile, very few words, gave us chips and dip and didn't bother to take our drink order. (Her gossiping to her other co-worker was too important, I suppose.) She had to be told to do her job several times, to which she sighed and rolled her eyes. When the food came she just laid ot down and left, for a moment I didn't think she heard my husband ask for more sauce. (She did.) We said please and thank you smiled..we were pleasant. She was NOT. It upset me to the point I just left the stuff I didn't eat there. I didn't want to go through the monumental task of asking for a to go box. I don't want to sound like a Karen, but going to dinner with my husband is special..we hardly get to do it much since he and I work so much and he doesn't usually have weekends off. One person ruined that for us and I want people to know it. We won't be back, as I said. Oh, and by the way, fix your parking lot. A field would've been better. (Now that's sounding like a Karen, but I am not happy.) read more

Great place all around. Friendly, prompt service and the food was delicious. There were four in our party and we were all happy with our selections. Price is good, we've been a few times and plan to return. read more

Great food a little pricey for what you get . Expected more beans and rice but the enchiladas were great and full of cheese.

We love this place. The service is always awesome. They have daily specials also. Super friendly staff as well. Of the two Mexican restaurants in this small town this is our favorite. read more

Great food and great service!!! The margaritas are a must but make sure you have a driver.

Friends just ate there and the service was awful. The waitresses just stood around and wouldn't take their to go order. When they asked for extra sauce, they were ignored. Then their to go order was messed up. They were regulars there and didn't deserve to be treated that way. They won't be back and neither will we. read more

This has been our go-to spot in town. The margaritas are delicious! I've tried numerous things on the menu & it all was good. My husband gets the ajuua burrito. It's great! Just watch your bill if they are super busy. Sometimes they ring things up twice. read more

This is a typical, but good Tex Mex place. It is reminiscent of Tacos El Sol in Topeka, delicious and not too spicy. Rice is a bit bland and dry. A bit more tomato and a fair amount of roasted garlic would make it a hit for me. Refried beans need a bit more garlic and salt. Carne asada is my test dish, get this right and everything's probably right. They did not fail, however I would have liked to have a bit more sear on the steak to develop that maillard reaction. That would have hit it out of the park for me. They roast a big chili, that is quite nice and it is served with flour tortillas. A cooling element like guacamole or sour cream with a bit of lettuce or pico de gallo would have balanced out this platter. The portion size is more than generous and I ended up taking some home. Salsas is chunky fresh and delightful. It is perfectly balanced. Chips are fresh and delightful. I had a top-shelf margarita and it was pretty good. Personally, I would have liked to have a bit more Cointreau in the drink, but how it was made was delicious nonetheless. The waitstaff is delightful the place is clean and the wait time is minimal. The kitchen is fairly fast and turned out the meal quickly. I think this place is probably the best Mexican restaurant in this community. This is a good solid place to eat, to take the family, a good value, and nice place to have a good time. read more
