We had an excellent meal and service on a Sunday night. We entered an empty restaurant at 8 PM. By 9 PM it was busy, but still some open tables. They bring you complimentary bread with different sauces. The prices are affordable. The wine was a huge pour for a great price. The staff was friendly and efficient. We had the tenderloin and the ribeye. I preferred the tenderloin. It was so smooth and easy to cut. The flavor was excellent. We had a delicious side of smashed pumpkin. We shared a salad that was made with fresh romaine, tomatoes, and white onion. They served it was balsamic vinegar and olive oil. The place has a nice ambiance. Check it out! read more

Waiters well oriented, they suggested the best cut of the day, with grill vegetables, with house made chimichurri, vinagrete and pairing a good Argentinian Malbec, followed with a chocolate volcano! Another meal chosen by Yelp! We were looking for a Palermo parrilla not far from our hotel and Las Horas hit the spot for ambience, friendly service, and value. We came for dinner at around 10 pm, and as usual in Argentina, only tourists are dining at this hour, so we were able to walk right in and sit down. The restaurant is fairly large and nicely decorated, with a pleasant ambience that's nice for couples: shelves of wine bottles, red and white tablecloths, and oversized clocks in keeping with the restaurant's name. As always, our Spanish is pretty bad, so our server put us out of our misery and switched to her much better English. The meal started with a bread basket and several sauces/toppings, one of which actually had some spice! The chorizo was juicy and perfectly cooked. Our ojo de bife and grilled vegetables were both very good and the meat was cooked as we requested, vuelta y vuelta. Our server was very patient and accommodating throughout the meal and answered our questions about the food. Prices are typical for a BA parrilla; on the server's recommendation, we ordered a more expensive wine than we typically would have, and our meal came to about US$60 total, which we felt was reasonable. Service is leisurely, and you're not hurried on your way as soon as you've finished eating. Tips are not included automatically, but you can ask to add a 10% tip (la propina) to your bill when you present your card. My review is based on my experience only. I'm sure my boyfriend would have given this place 5 stars, as he said he had the best steak of his life at this place. I, however, do not eat meat. I ordered the salmon. It was just okay. Not awful by any means, but no real flavor, just literally grilled salmon. A sauce or something would of been nice. I also ordered grilled veggies. It seemed as though, they just through them on the grill because there were char marks. They also drizzled some olive oil on top. This sadly did nothing. I was excited by the presentation, as they looked very tasty. Unfortunately, they were the driest veggies I have ever eaten. The wine was good, but extremely over priced. Our wine was more than both of our dinners combined. The same bottle at a grocery store was a 1/4 what we paid for it. Talk about an over the top mark up. read more

For my fellow traveling American.... I've been fortunate enough to have a steak at Maestro's in Los Angeles, Ruth's Chris in Pasadena, and Gallagher's in Las Vegas/New York, and none of those compare to the quality of Las Horas. My wife and I ordered the Provolenta, Caesar Salad and Chorizo to start. All of which were exceptional. The provolenta was one of the most incredible things I've ever eaten in my life thus far. The Caesar salad was delicious, and pleasantly not made with anchovies (I hate anchovies). The chorizo was very good and reminded me more of a Kielbasa, rather than a Mexican chorizo. And now for the steak.... we ordered the tenderloin, aka bife de lomo, aka filet mignon, aka heaven in your mouth. By far the most delicious and tender cut of meat I've ever had. They don't use any seasoning, except for a little bit of salt, but oh boy. The flavor is stupid good and leaves your mouth watering. I never leave reviews, as you can see by my profile. But when I feel strongly enough about something, I will. And Las Horas in Buenos Aires is very worthy of a review. We will be back again before we depart back home. Come and enjoy Las Horas. We came in due to extreme hurry in time and that Don Julio next door had two hours of waiting. We were the only guests upon coming in (8pm so maybe too early for locals) and the rating wasn't good so we had low expectations. We ordered Argentina barbecue and it turned out to be among our best meals in Argentina. The portion was so huge that we only finished half. The waiter spoke the best English so far we had encountered in town among service people, and the meal was really good. Quite a pleasant surprise! read more

Neighborhood restaurant in Palermo with some tasty cuts of meats. We visited here during a rainy night when our stomachs were growling. Everything served was excellent, however the wine list was a bit strange. For a local spot the wine list seemed extravagantly expensive considering we had been at nicer restaurants in Palermo with a more diverse selection. My suggestion, order the bife de lomo and try a Patagonia beer. read more

What a great find! Right across the street from our vacation rental apartment in Palermo, my son and I discovered the wonders of Las Horas. We had our first meal in Buenos Aires there, and commemorated our trip by having our last meal in town there as well. Somewhat intimidated by our lack of conversational Spanish, our waiter Geno made us feel completely at home and guided us through their excellent selection of meats and the daily specials. The food is superb and I'd highly recommend Las Horas for meals ranging from an early lunch to a complete sit down dinner. read more

My wife and I decided to stop by to relax after a long walk around the nearby parks in the area on a Sunday afternoon. This review is based only on the wine and atmosphere. Great selection of wines, mostly by the bottle. We had the Saint Felicien Malbec which was excellent and decently priced. The service was great and they were accommodating even with our limited Spanish speaking skills. Atmosphere is great for conversation and also for people watching outside. Stopped here for a late lunch. I ordered the chicken involtini while my wife ordered the wok lomo (basically a meat stir fry). Have to say that first the service was one of the best and the meal was very good, specially the involtini. read more
