However, I like to explore and encourage others to do so. Waitstaff was extremely professional. I enjoy Mexico's style of waitstaff customer service. The interior was dark wood and old school. They provided crispy and strong tortillas chips ( I am not a fan of the thin chips.) and some refried beans and lime. We ordered Ceviche and Ribeye with shrimp. Food was okay. However, the steak was not Ribeye. While it was sliced thin (I know what thinly sliced Ribeye looks like since we use it in our HotPot), it was some other cut of meat. Picked up my eats and drove back to my hotel where the munching began. The Pastor is without a doubt my favorite; crispy and meaty. I found the tostado siberia to be quite tasty too; shredded chicken + jalapeno sauce in between two corn tostado shells; squeeze the sour cream on it to take the flavor profile to another level. The fajita quesadilla and tacos (tripa & brisket) were also tasty. The chicken chalupa had good flavor but I could probably do without it due to being a tad soggy. But probably cause I saved it for last; I should've eaten that first. This will probably be on the rotation for taco spots in Laredo. Having eating Palenque several times and Tremendo taco, it's nice to have another taco option since you can never have enough!

The oysters were good but the presentation was a bit off. They come out in a huge tray of ice which melted kinda quick - if you wait too long to have your oysters, you will be pulling them out of water. Also, the cocktail sauce that came with them was super watered down and messy to pour from the little cups it came in. The shrimp cocktail, though, was beautifully presented and delicious. It was topped with cilantro, red onion, and avocado. I relished every bite. Chips and salsa before the meal were good, too. The chips are dusted with some spicy powder which you can get hooked on, and the salsas were good and spicy. Unfortunately for me, though, I was exposed to Maroon 5, One Republic, and Bruno Mars songs blasting throughout the place. It felt kinda clubby, and not any club I would ever want to be in. All in all, though, not a bad place for seafood. I am definitely coming back after hearing about other entrees to try, especially their grilled octopus.
