Wow! What a hidden gem in Oxford! We received very courteous and attentive service and personal…read moreattention from the lovely owner before we finished our meal. The ambience is clean and casual and the large windows bring in plenty of natural lighting. The "healthy start" platter may be named with tongue-in-cheek as it features two generously thick and smoky slices of bacon and two eggs but the grilled mushrooms, avocado, and roasted potatoes made for an awesome brunch! Their giant pancakes are probably the best any restaurant can offer - better than many so-called "pancake houses." A stack of three is probably more than anyone can finish! The chipotle chicken panini was also more than I could eat at one sitting, the serving was so generous. This is not "fast food." Everything is cooked to order and is brought to the table when it is ready, so everyone may not be eating at the same moment, but everyone will be served a fresh dish, not one sitting under a heat lamp for 10 minutes while the rest of the order is finished. When we arrived at the restaurant, they had just received a large delivery of fresh produce that had yet to be stocked and I have to tell you that Flowers is ordering some high quality produce to serve its customers.

We placed our drink orders and it began to get busy so it took a little bit of time for our drinks to arrive. And we placed our order and it didn't take more than about 10 or 15 minutes for our food to come out. Everything was pretty good. I wish they would've had empanadas but they didn't so I had burritos with chicken. And the chicken was shredded and soaked in some sort of sauce that really wasn't that tasty. But they offered several different types of sauces and dips and we were able to use those made it taste a little bit better. The food was extremely filling and we had enough to bring home. The price was very reasonable for the amount of food that we received. I wish I would've asked my waitresses name because she was just very personable and we made sure we gave her a good tip. The decor was very Hispanic lots of old time pictures and dancers different types of etching on the back of each seat. That was very authentic, which was pleasantly surprising. And I'm thinking that this is a more local eatery because after we got there, the place filled up there was no room for anybody to sit. If you've not tried Riviera Maya, I would definitely give them a try. It's good food good atmosphere, and very friendly staff and great prices.
