I was met with the warmest smile as if she already knew I was in for a treat. My my my was I ever!!!!! Authentic flavor in everything from the rice, refried beans to the pico, salsa verde and chips!! The Mojito so minty and a absolute must with any entrée!!!! The Carnitas I had transported my taste buds back too Texas and my favorite spots for true Latin fare ...in a word AMAZING!! Service with a smile and the pride you have knowing your serving the finest food in the area!!!! I envision the end of the other Mex joint here in Lusby....bye Felisha!!! I for one will and could eat here 3x a week...easily. So treat yourselves soon before they end up having an hour wait!!!! read more

This place is great! Excellent service, tasty dishes and a very chill atmosphere. I was surprised there were not more skeletons, since the name Las Catrinas literally alludes to the presence of some skellys chilling out. That would have been cool - skeletons having drinks, skeletons dancing, maybe some skeletons getting down and playing some old school music. I would live to waited on by a cool looking skeleton in a sombrero, giving me the business and cracking jokes. Skeletons rule. But, hey, back to what makes this place awesome. Amazing good! This is a nice restaurant located in a shopping center. It's a convenient stop and typical for a restaurant in a storefront. The food was good, but not as flavorful as Mexican restaurants I have visited. The beans are from a can and didn't have much flavor. The rice was ok. The carne asada was well done, I asked for medium. It also didn't pack a lot of flavor. The tortillas look homemade. If they're not, they're made close by, but they also didn't have the maize flavor I thought they would have. The servers were fine. I think this place is ok. I don't think I'll return, but only because I don't come out this way much and I would rather try other places. Check them out and tell me what you think. read more

Here's an updated 5-star review reflecting that it was a to-go order: I ordered takeout from Las Catrina's and it was outstanding! I got the choripollo and a tamale, and both dishes were packed with flavor. The choripollo had tender chicken, perfectly seasoned chorizo, and a delicious sauce that held up great even as a to-go meal. The tamale was soft, moist, and absolutely delicious. they let us come in at 8:30 even though they closed at 9. such friendly waiters, food came out so quick. and the icing on the cake was that the food was absolutely delicious. one of the best burritos i've ever had. would definitely recommend!!! read more

You walk in and notice how well the restaurant is clean. It's very open with plenty of seating for both small groups and bigger parties. The waitress and waiter we had were attentive and helped us with the menu. The menu was very large and had a great selection. I chose the burritos and my husband ate the arroz con pollo and chickens quesadillas. Both plates were big and filling. We will back! read more

Such nice folks running this restaurant! Always great service. Can recommend the Chicken Soup. Rich broth and so much chicken, rice and veggies. We've been here twice and both times were outstanding. Had the birria tacos and they are the best I've ever had. My wife had huevos rancheros once and the veggie enchiladas the other times. She really enjoyed them as much as she has any other Mexican food anywhere. This is authentic Mexican food. The atmosphere is very nice. Quiet environment. Very clean. Earlier this month took my Bestie out to this restaurant for the first time for her birthday. And I must say our experience was awesome. Food was great place look clean and Service was amazing. We tossed Salsa's restaurant food into the dumpster but Salsa's will never have to be concerned about the competition from Las Catrina's. The flour tortillas straight from the package never saw the heat of the grill. The photos showing the food, is not even close to the takeout order we received. The chicken Fajitas were 1/3 of what an order should show. Beans, meh. The rice was mushy, overcooked. Beware of the tamales, dang! The little corn cob things so over cooked water poured from it. Should have been roasted, what the heck! Oh. The chips, and salsa was good. The consensus around the table said it all, into to the dumpster. An $80.00 charge that would have been better spent at El RinConcito Mexican Restaurant in Lexington Park, MD. Bless me El RinConcito, for we have sinned, never to sin again. We had a hankering as we always do, for good Mexican, read the reviews, and thought why not? Now we know why. Maybe the reason is food eaten in Mexico or TX. I guess. Overnight delivery from TX is way better than what we've purchased in MD. Sad, leaving this big X on our list. I prefer the sinners take a nose dive all on their own. Tried Las Catrinas tonight after seeing some posts and reviews on Facebook and it did not disappoint. The food was very good, the service was excellent and the portions and food quality were all very good. Look forward to coming back and trying other things. I got the Arroz Texana and my wife got the Seafood Chimi. The prices are pretty normal for your typical Latin restaurant. You should definitely give this place a try, you won't be disappointed. A fabulous addition to Lusby! I ordered the Tacos de Birria ($14.50) for lunch takeout and they were so flavorful. The tacos were decently sized and they also came with chips and salsa and rice and beans. They were also 20% off for Taco Tuesday which was a nice surprise. Ordering online was really easy and it was ready on time. Can't wait to come back and try some more menu items! read more

The food was okay, on par with the usual Mexican food casual restaurants. Guac was very good. Enchiladas and chimichanga were lacking flavor and seasoning. The entrees had a heavy layer of "salad" on top with a too generous swirl of sour cream (or crema?). It made the food under it overly soggy. The rice and refried beans were good. read more
