Everyone hates on Columbus for not having "good/authentic" Mexican food; you just aren't looking…read morehard enough. This is no Tex-Mex joint, nope, not a sit-down restaurant, and no, definitely not within the 270 comfort zone. No quesadillas, no fajitas, no enchiladas, and no tacquitos. So don't expect it. This is a taco truck parked in Speedy Mart's lot with $1.50 tacos, $5 tortas, "horchata and tamarindo straight from the barrel," and not to mention homemade icey treats (nieves). Tacos come with the requisite radish slices, onion & cilantro, and lime wedge. Fillings: asada, carnitas, pastor, barbacoa, lengua, pollo, and tripa. Tortas: quesillo, jamon, chorizo, milanesa, and asada. Red & green salsas and guac on the side for personal flourishes. I like my lengua tacos with a squirt of green and two of guac. These are the best lengua tacos I've had outside of Roosevelt Ave in Jackson Heights, Queens. Miles better than Xalisco and Cuco's. Hours: Tuesday - Sunday, 11am-midnight. Rain or shine.

If you come here, know your Spanish because the staff here didn't speak English. The menu is painted on the side of the truck in both Spanish and English so if you don't know Spanish, make your pick in English and then order in the Spanish that's written next to it. Even at that, your order might end up wrong! Several of us there got different things than what we ordered but they were all good anyway! The nieves servings are large and are about $3 each. I had Nut and JM had vanilla. He had never had this before and he was pleasantly surprised! It was delish! There was a picnic table out front so you can eat there and you pay after you eat so eat as much as you want!

It's right across from the Franklinton library branch. Their menu is pretty extensive with lots of staples (Nashville chicken sandwich, burgers, fries, tacos, and wings). We tried wings because they advertised a special for $1.50 per wing on Wednesday night. They have a ton of sauce options. We went with Nashville hot, Steph's Way, and toxic sauce for the cauliflower bites. Portions were fantastic for the price. The Nashville hot was my favorite. Not too hot with just enough kick. The Steph's Way was a bit salty, but had a nice lemony flavor. All wing meat was cooked perfectly. Food is cooked to order and they will text you when ready. I can't wait to come back to try their other sauces and menu items.

Including $1.25 wings on Wednesday! The wings were amazing and the Italian sausage was perfect! As messy as the Italian sausage looks, it stayed in tack and for those who like spicy foods, the Italian sausage was spicy! But not overpowering, which is a good thing. The fries were also great! I ate them with a side of BBQ sauce (which is typically my go to). I will be back! I would recommend calling ahead to order!

($1.50 each) The taco style was comparable to El Camino downtown. Very fresh ingredients (onions, radishes, lettuce, etc) and the meat was very savory. They even give you 3 different sauces to choose from to put on your taco. I also got one of their fresh fruit cups with mango, watermelon, pineapple, and honeydew melons. Just like I used to get in Los Angeles. The staff speaks pretty limited English, so it's a great place to test out that Spanish- and gives it that extra feel of authenticity.

So yes, this experience was spicy in every sense of the word. I was tooling around Cbus last week (SOB!! I miss it so already) and decided to treat myself to something small and delicious. And by that I mean tacos, pssh. I headed over to Georgesville Road in Hilltop, knowing that it would be mere minutes after turning from Broad Street that many delicious taco truck options would be in ma FACE. And sure enough, Las Delicias was the first truck I came upon. I ordered three asada tacos, and sat down to wait. An adorable young Mexican family ordered directly after me, and we all ended up sitting together. It was very sweet. My tacos came in a timely manner and I browsed the internets on my phone whilst adorable little Mexican kids ran around me. The tacos were excellent - definitely some of the best I've had in the 'bus. They had a generous portion of meat, but not too much as to be overwhelming. I got them Mexican style, of course, so they came with cilantro and onions, with a side of limes and radishes. So perfect. As I said, the guy working was... well, workin' it. It was cute. I told him I was just visiting, and I think it broke both of our hearts (for different reasons, ha).
