This place has the best tacos... reminds my husband and I of our trip to Mexico. They have the best Al Pastor. It's worth the trip wherever you live. You can take to go or eat on a bar stool on the truck. Cash only.

This is THE spot you're looking for when it's 12AM and you're trying to figure out if it makes most sense to stay in bed or venture out in search of tacos. Being an out of towner, the 'experience' in getting there adds all the more to the sweet validation that you made the right choice leaving your bed. Being blunt, the drive there is suspect, especially at this time of night. Driving down dimly lit streets and turning off the main road onto an unpaved graveled parking lot felt like the beginning of a mistake, but when you see extra bright light flood lights illuminating a big food truck in the middle of the night, you've no choice but to continue trusting your intuition. The only thing missing from making this trip the complete experience was the deafening loud music, regardless of the time of day/night. Even at midnight, this place was poppin, with at least 6 customers already there either eating or awaiting their food before I got there, and a handful that arrived after I was waiting myself. Onto the food; in short, it's on point! Up top, prices are a bit on the steep side at $2 a taco, but at the time of my visit, I may have been willing to pay double that :) Pastor is my jam and so pastor is what I got. A total of 5 pastor tacos and 1 Gringas. The tacos are built with 2 corn tortillas, a generous per taco meat proportion (enough that some falls onto your plate when you pick up your taco), cilantro, onion, and a single small slice of fresh pineapple. Included on the side is lime and cucumber (a nice touch that I don't see often in the Chicago). The Gringas was ok; I too am a sucker for melted cheese, but the price differential between this and a normal taco, I'd much rather just have a 2nd 'normal' taco. I may never be in Columbus again, but if I do, I'd go out of my way to visit Los Guachos!

This time, I got my order to go. I have to say, they upped their game with the to-go packaging! There was some of all the common condiments, salsa verde, the HOT red salsa, limes, cucumber and some salt packets. Everything was packaged nicely, with plenty to go around. Also, this time, I swallowed my pride and asked for a menu. I have attached photos for those of you that like to plan ahead. :)

Gringas A.K.A. Heaven on my plate.

Best Mexican in Columbus. And I mean authentic Mexican. Anytime(a couple times a week, let's be honest) I have a hankering for something south of the border this is my go to. Don't be intimidated by the location, or the feeling that your possibly not supposed to be there. Best Al Pastor tacos north of Tucson. Just don't want those delicious tacos on a Monday. They are closed on Mondays

Disappointed. Went for their tacos al pastor but also made a order of carné asada and pulled pork. The tacos did not taste authentic. The taco salad was filled with Roman lettuce and the smallest spoonful of rice and beans. (It was a taco shell with lettuce). Lastly The queso was thick! Tasted like melted American cheese. Unfortunately I Didn't enjoy anything I ordered. :(

Delicious tacos. Not trying to be gross but cow tongue taco is pretty good too. Line can be long so be prepared.

Love it. Will go there again. They have tacos Tuesday for pastor taco, buy one get one free. Might be a wait.

What was that? You don't go to the Hilltop for dining? Oh you, poor, poor misguided thing. The Hilltop ain't bad at all, especially when it is the taco truck capital of Columbus (probably even Ohio). Los Guachos is a great place to get your feet wet if you're new to taco trucks or street food in general. It's a very large, clean space and they have tacos al pastor just like I had in Mexico: from a spit. From there on you can choose from a selection of salsas of varying heat, including a unique soy sauce based one loaded with habaneros. God, I gotta head out there again and soon.

Never have I had that offered to me at any restaurant. His hustle, service and smile was appreciated. The nachos were really good. The marinated pork, cheese sauce, fresh chips, chunks of pineapple, sour cream and salsa verde just came together well. Bonus points for the cheese sauce. Not to mention I watched him prepare everything thru the glass counter. He's back there having fun then brings your food out with a smile. Love it. If it were super busy I don't know how he would keep up, but I appreciate his hustle. Yelp, your recommendation didn't disappoint. Ricardo, a waiter at Cazuela's Mexican Cantina in Reynoldsburg, had finished serving a table, expecting the usual--a tip, a simple acknowledgment of his hard work. Instead, he received a hateful message scrawled on the receipt, the kind that cuts deeper than words should. Ricardo works at Cazuela's only on Sundays, a second job to help make ends meet. So today, in between my OCIA responsibilities, I decided to stop by--to meet him, to shake his hand, and to remind him that there are far more good people in this world than the ones who spew hate. As we talked, I saw a man who carries himself with quiet dignity, someone who simply wants to work hard and provide for his family. I shared with him that I, too, know what it feels like to be told to "go back to your country," even though, like him, I am an American. I told him about my childhood, standing in front of my family's Crestview Market, hearing the ugly chants from passing cars--some driven by kids I went to school with. But today wasn't just about reliving painful memories; it was about something greater--the power of community, of kindness that drowns out cruelty. When I arrived at Cazuela's, I wasn't alone. Others had also come to show their support, to stand with Ricardo. He told me the outpouring of kindness had been overwhelming, and I was relieved to hear it. Before I left, I handed him my WARM card and told him if he ever needed help, he could call me. Because no one should feel alone in moments like these. And, by the way, if you ever stop by Cazuela's, their enchiladas and Mexican rice are fantastic. The chips and salsa? Fresh and addictive. And my server, Isabel--attentive, kind, and everything a great waitress should be. Some people choose to spread hate. But today, I saw so many more people choosing love. And thats what matters.
