Note: The waiter did me a big personal favor, altruistically, at what appeared to be the end of his shift. He didn't make that known, but I later learned. Only small town hospitality would accommodate us in such a caring manner. The food was excellent. Great salsa, chips and they even cut up an entire avocado at my request since my diet was temporarily restricted. That is in addition to a big favor that our waiter did for me, an out-of-towner. Thank you for serving my aunt, a native Kansan and long-time Southern California resident, and me. I will go back just to visit this place! Caveat: Please don't be in a rush when you are seated. The quality cuisine is well worth waiting for its superb preparation and presentation beyond anything either of us have yet to experience in bustling San Diego or Los Angeles. The waiters are merely (and courteously, may I add) busy helping customers like you, so please know they aren't being rude or anything like that. Just communicate directly with them. We were in a pretty big hurry, but this isn't a fast-food joint. Next time, I plan accordingly. I suggest you overlook any naysayer with conspicuously missing photos. This isn't Americanized but authentic Mexican cuisine. Clientele who have traveled outside of the Missouri State Fair will recognize and appreciate this high quality food. Great food, great company, fun atmosphere. TIP: A great stop on the way to or from The World's Biggest Ball of Twine. This review is all in my opinion only.
