One waks right past us to cash out a customer that we're leaving several mins after we got there and didn't even look at us. Ok I changed it 5 stars. After traveling back through town, we found this restaurant the only real option one night. I'm glad we did because it was amazing, so amazing we went back the next day for the exact same results. Mediocre Mexican food at best, BUT not a lot of options in this town. Was visiting P Burg for the first time and tried this place. The dining room is huge and very festive. Looks like it used to be a grocery store. My wife and I both had margaritas, which were good and strong. I had shrimp tacos ( very good), and she had a burrito, which she said was good. The wait staff was friendly, a bit odd, because we had three different guys come ask for our order, then none of them let us know how to pay. We never got a ticket and had to go pay at the register. I trusted the ticket was correct. But, all in all, quite tasty. read more

All I can say is that it is good food but seems completely over priced for being in such a small town in the middle of nowhere.

Wow! Phillipsburg has a great Mexican restaurant. The Shrimp Cocktail was just the right amount of spicy, delicious & loaded with shrimp. The shrimp, beef & chicken dish was enjoyable, also. The margarita was very tasty. The staff was friendly (even though we arrived 30 min before closing) & the restaurant was festive in its decor. Very good carnitas and chicken enchiladas!!! Tamale meso was a bit sweet for my oreference , but all was very tasty! The have some nice HOT sauce available if you ask, but caution. Don't travel this way often, but I would return if in the area. read more

We found this restaurant via Yelp. It had one prior 5 star review so obviously we gave it a try. The service was excellent. The food is excellent. It appears to be mostly homemade items. Everything we ordered was fresh. They accommodated my gluten free vegan diet at my request. I ordered the veggie fajitas with corn tortillas and no dairy. Very tasty. The only minor issue was the staff does not appear to speak fluent English and no one in my party spoke Spanish so ordering and asking clarifying questions was a little more difficult. The friendly staff, great service and excellent food definitely deserves 5 stars. read more

Pretty miserable experience, stopped in for a late lunch at 1:30pm after a long morning working outside, found an empty restaurant, one other table was just finishing up, as we expected. Waiter was slow to seat us, took 5 minutes to bring our drinks, and another 5 to come back with chips and salsa and take our orders because he was too busy on his phone. The other table just finishing up also had to get up to get their own refills.The salsa cup had dried salsa around the rim, and the small basket of chips was mostly little broken pieces. In a reasonable amount of time, our food was done and the cook rang the bell, waiter continued to talk on his phone. A couple minutes, bell was rang pretty vigorously, only to still be ignored. After a couple more minutes, we just got up and went to get our food ourselves. 5 minutes after that, the waiter finally goes back to get our food, is told we already got it, and instead of stopping to check on us or apologize or anything, just went straight back to his phone. And of course as we expected, our check was never brought and we were never offered refills or checked on again. The only reason this review gets 2 stars is because the cook was nice and the food was very good. The service however, was non-existent. read more

My husband and I are driving cross country and decided to dine here. We ordered a combination plate consisting of a chili relleno, tamale, and enchilada. My husband also had a chili verde pork burrito (not on the menu....pork with chili verde sauce). The food was great! I also ordered a guacamole salad. Living in south central Nebraska, we have limited options for Mexican food but this place hit the spot for us! Great place to go for simple yet delicious Mexican food.
