Carne de Puerco (menu says pulled pork but ours was a boneless chop / cutlet)

Well seasoned and well prepared Peruvian from a family kitchen and staff who seem to enjoy what they do. The yucca appetizer was superb; crisp on the outside, pillowy center and cut thick enough to really taste like more than the fryer. We had the house chicken and braised pork with rice and beans. The proteins were tender, moist, and flavorful. We tried the Lucuma ice cream, which has a startlingly bright color quite apart from its mellow taste - butter pecan? Caramel? White Chocolate? Couldn't quite decide but it was different and quite nice. Friendly and warm service. We hope to visit again on a Friday for the 'off the menu' specials. Yucca app, 2 entrees, dessert and a soda for $30 with plenty for 2 lunches tomorrow in the take away box.

Beef with sauteed onions and peppers. The portions are larger than appear in the picture.

Flavorful steak fries are a fave! Service was consistent and kind. Ambiance is pretty chill depending on the day and time.

Basic, nothing like other Peruvian places I've eaten at. Biggest disappointment was their chicken, it was average at best.

I felt so welcomed and they made sure I had a great experience. If you are ever in Emmaus near the triangle you should definitely stop in and have a sandwich! Not to mention they partner with the bakery next door for their bread.

But few people think about the importance of the bread. It is the vessel that holds all the deliciousness together. A new sandwich shop, The Hive, just up from Triangle Park in Emmaus is focusing on hoagie-style sandwiches made with fresh French bread from next-door neighbor, Egypt Star Bakery. Which has mouthwatering bread that makes the sandwich complete, and all your mouth buds open up, and dancing around. The Hive has had a soft opening with a small menu of "whole" and "half" sandwiches. A whole is about two feet long. Options include Italian (honey ham, Genoa salami, capicola with provolone cheese); ham and cheese; turkey and cheese; and tuna. You can also get those options as pita wrap sandwiches. The Hive also has a few sides such as cole slaw, hummus with pita, chips and cheddar mac salad. Since they just opened, give them no time, they will have more selections. This is a must try and support your local new business. We need to keep them around.
