Delicious food! Recommend the aguachiles, ceviche and tacos are amazing. Tacos are with handmade tortillas.

I left a 5-star review about a year ago because I had a great experience. Unfortunately, ever since the restaurant changed its name to Las Katrinas, my experience has gone downhill. My kids love the food here, so I usually order through Uber Eats. I've had the same issue with my asada tacos three different times. I always order them plain, but they keep adding sauce. Although the restaurant has corrected the mistake each time, I still have to place another order and pay an additional delivery fee because the original order wasn't made correctly. The fried fish has also changed. It used to be thick, meaty, and well worth the price. It also came with a nice-sized piece of cheese. The last few times I've ordered it, the fish has been much thinner with barely any meat, and instead of the piece of cheese it used to come with, they now just sprinkle a little cotija cheese on top. For a $20+ fish plate, that's very disappointing. I really liked this restaurant and the flavor of the food, which is why this is so frustrating. I hope they can improve their consistency and bring back the quality that made me leave a 5-star review in the first place. read more

Bruh. They advertise TJ STYLE TACOS. what I got was a taco with sliver of "avocado salsa'' not even enough to cover the taco. Then I call and they tell me oh the guacamole is extra. Look at what they advertise and look at what I got. It's nowhere near the same thing. FALSE ADVERTISEMENT at its finest. The 2 stars is because at least the meat was good and plentiful. Which in my case we paid with debit card and shouldn't be applied it is illegal, and the fact that the tax charge wasn't mentioned before ordering until the very end when it came time to pay. I was in the Anaheim area for lunch and decided to try out Sabor Mi Tierra. Was in the mood for menudo and I knew this place would hit the spot, especially with the homemade tortillas. I wish I could add hominy but was told I couldn't although last time they told me I could lol. Anyway it's too good to not pass up. Very flavorful and just the right amount of spices. Decided to stop here for lunch. Had a 2 margaritas. 2 fish tacos and a asada taco. Fish was alright, asada was ass. Margaritas were decent. What caught me off guard was the check out. Everyone was walking up to check out so I did too. They don't give you a bill but charge you at the counter. You don't get to see what your bill looks like. I got charged for an extra margarita but I didn't realize till I got in my car. Classic server scheme to collect more tips. The combination of a bar-like ambiance had me asking if it was family-friendly atmosphere- it is family friendly! There was lot of tables (that seat 4) and we saw people come in and out. The service was attentive and accommodating, especially with a picky eater (kid). 5 stars for just the service!!! Absolutely delicious! Definitely recommend. Came in one a Saturday early evening and it wasn't busy at all (was seated right away). We had the Shrimp Cocktail and the Mojara plate. I got something small a few tacos gobernador and a quesadilla de asada with an horchata. The quesadilla was more on the thicker side of the filling but when I took a bite out of it the cheese and asada both exploded with the flavors that they came with! The asada was seasoned greatly and had loads of flavor to it. The portion sizes here too are pretty big so don't order too much food thinking you can finish it all unless you are really hungry. Now the tacos gobernado were really different from a regular taco as they come with shrimp,cheese and cactus (nopales) the flavors were packing as well and for the first time trying some tacos like that I'd give them a solid 4/5. My horchata wasn't too bad a little bit more on the water side and I personally like mine a little bit more sweeter but to each their own. Run, don't walk, RUN!!! To try out the garlic shrimp here! Wow this was tasty. Garlicky but with a Latino flair! They offer two styles! Shell-on and peeled with tail on. Do the latter. Amazing flavor! It's a little pricey but that flavor makes it worthwhile! Beers are 5.50 and the tacos are $3. The tortillas are hand made and crazy good too! Service was fast and friendly! Another Yelp recommendation- driving around town not knowing what we wanted to eat stumbled upon this on yelp when i searched homemade tortillas - super clean - staff was supper nice - food was good (beans were cold) and my fish tacos did lack in salt but overall everything tasted great. Horchata was amazing. The customer service was amazing. They were very polite and accommodating. They gave me chips & salsa with a water while I waited for my to go order. I got Potato Tacos. The plate was $12.99 for 3 tacos and beans and rice. I wasn't wild about the extra green sauce in the beans, but that's my personal preference- I prefer them plain. Probably the best Mexican restaurant I've been too in a long time. The food & service was amazing!! The environment was also very welcoming and clean. It's a small hole in the wall but it was so yummy. Right off the bat the server greats you with chips/salsa. We ordered the horchata which was a 10/10!! 3flautas with rice/beans so yummy!! Ordered grub hub delivery for this place last night. We ordered tacos and they came with zero salsa. They however did include limes cilantro and onions in the side. We ordered different kinds of tacos and they only sent carne asada and chorizo Moving onto my shrimp ceviche tostada, it was $11.99 and it came with NO TOSTADAS. Literally just a container of ceviche with nothing to eat it with. I found chips i had at home to eat it with and kept adding more lime and salt because the flavor was very bland I will never order from here again nor would I recommend it to anyone read more

We stopped by due to the reviews. We got here at 11:30 and all the tables were filled. After talking with and employee, a table opened up and we quickly sat down. It took 20 minutes for someone to clean the table and take our order. They will not make recommendations and could not answer some of the questions about food ingredients (they also do not honor the flan from the Yelp Checkin) Food showed up 30 minutes later and was worth the wait. tacos de gobernador are good. $18 for 3 but they are good size. Fish taco is gigantic but its a crazy amount of slaw and sauce. I ordered a caldo de res to go yesterday. I was extremely disappointed to receive a soup filled with onions. It had one piece of cabbage and one chunk of meat. The rest was onions.
