I reported to the employee on duty that dryer # 29 did not dry my clothes. The employee followed me to dryer #29 and touched the clothes and agreed they were not dry. I asked for a refund and I was told that I had to write my name and number and she would give it to the owner and the owner would contact me. After several weeks I still had not received a call from the owner therefore, I returned to Soap City and I spoke to the same employee ( I reminded her who I was) about the refund. I was told that the owner had taken my information " but she's really busy". I asked " should I hear from her soon"? She said "yes". It's 8 months later and I have not heard from the owner. I'm still waiting for my refund.

Long post alert! I…read morewent to take my birthday pictures today and decided on a laundromat concept. After searching on Yelp for the most aesthetic laundromat in New Orleans, Holy Sheets came up as #1...and once I saw the photos, I already knew this was the one. The floors alone sold me! I also had an oversized blanket to wash, so I figured I could kill two birds with one stone. When I arrived, I sat and waited for my photographer, then went to ask a staff member a question about starting my wash. That's when she let me know photos weren't allowed, but she offered to check with the owner. A few minutes later, he arrived (I hate that I can't remember his name), greeted customers, and then came over to speak with me. I explained it was for my birthday shoot, and he kindly let me know it was a busy time and he didn't want to make other customers uncomfortable, but he offered to schedule another time for us to come back. Very respectful and professional. Of course, with a scheduled shoot, we couldn't really pivot like that, so I thanked him and started making other plans. BUT then...he came back and said we could go ahead and take pictures, just to be mindful of customers and stay on one side. That meant so much! Even though people naturally started moving into that area (lol), we made it work, and he was super accommodating the entire time. I really appreciated that level of kindness and flexibility. Now let's talk about the space, this laundromat is BEAUTIFUL, if laundromats can be beautiful lol. Clean, bright, and very well-maintained. The floors? Stunning. The machines were all in working order, plenty of baskets available, and I love that they offer full-service wash and fold options too. What stood out the most was the customer service. He greeted people as they came in, listened attentively to customers, and created a welcoming environment. Overall, such a great experience. Thank you for being a part of making my birthday special!

I was able to unload and reload my clothes with out any foolishness. Cons: when you ask how much is the wash/dry/fold service they tell you $1.25/lb of clothes. However they don't tell you it's a 10 lb minimum charge even if the clothes aren't 10 lbs. They also charge you around $5 per load for water. Which brings the total to around $2.00/lb. Why not just charge $2/lb? OR have it posted in writing in the facility OR make sure the attendants communicate the service charges when customers inquire about the prices? I've used this service on and off since 2013. When I was still living in an apt and didn't have my washer/dryer connections yet and just recently when my washing machine bit the dust at my house. I was informed that the washateria was under new ownership because previous trips did not have all the extra service charges. I've been coming here long enough that I've watched the price for wash/dry fold go from $0.75/lb to now $1.25/lb. Obviously I'll be back but man did this most recent visit put a sour taste in my mouth.

DO NOT DO YOUR LAUNDRY AT THIS ESTABLISHMENT!…read more The owner refuses to make right machines that go wrong. Did my laundry on 5/31/21 at this place. Paid for 3 washers, all of which started after I put the money in. I live around the corner, so went home to wait out the wash cycle. Returned to find one of the washers had reset and didn't do a complete wash. Just flashing it needed $6.75 again to run. I informed the owner of the problem, and she said,"These are new machines. When you push start they work." Mind you, I'm standing here with another $10.00 for dryers and have two other completed cycles. I ask her what can she do to make the situation right? She says,"There's nothing I can do." My son asks her where the money would have gone since we put $6.75 in. She says,"It's in here." Points at the locked change catcher. Then she states,"There's nothing I can do. These machines work." I don't know if she was essentially accusing us of trying to rip her off, which makes no sense since we had two other more expensive wash loads completed? But, her refusal to at least get us into a new machine to complete our laundry is horrible. We didn't want a refund. We just wanted to do that last load of laundry. So, since she refused to do anything about it and acted like she couldn't do anything to fix the situation, which is ridiculous, we packed up our unwashed and wet laundry and went to a better laundromat down the street. Not only is 28th Street 24/7 Coin Laundry a BETTER laundry facility, they cost less, AND you can pay with the Dexter Pay app so you don't need to mess with quarters. Way better service there by far and if you go after midnight, they have half-price wash and dry!! Lucky Bubbles IS TRASH!! Do not go here unless you want to get ripped off.
