A light in my rental condo's bathroom vanity was not working properly. Johnny provided a clear quote for diagnosing the issue and was transparent about the costs before arriving. His communication was excellent, and he accommodated a last-minute appointment change based on my schedule. He quickly diagnosed and repaired the faulty ballast, and I'm very happy with the result. Johnny is professional, reliable, responsive, and straightforward about pricing. I highly recommend him for electrical work!

We hired E I Electrical to replace a few switches in our condo because our previous electrician was…read moreacquired by this company. They were able to come and inspect the work within a short notice and provided us with an on-site estimate. Everything seemed satisfactory until I was informed that the estimate would include a yearly fee for any future work. This fee would automatically provide us with a built-in discount for subsequent services. This was the first indication that something was amiss. Why would I want to pay an annual fee for work that had already been completed? Another peculiar aspect of their pricing was the flat rate fixed price for each item. They offered a similar approach to car repairs, where a flat rate is charged for parts like a quarter panel or hood. For an outlet in a switch, they had a flat fixed rate. They assured us that this included labor and materials. However, they failed to mention that they sourced the cheapest possible materials. They also stated that I could purchase the materials myself, but I lacked the time to do so. Consequently, I ended up having cheap switches, even though the price seemed exorbitant in my opinion. Given the urgency of the project, I had no choice but to agree. However, this is when the problems began. The project was initially promised to be completed in a day and a half or two at the most. Surprisingly, it took four days to complete the work. They arrived at the site by midday every day and proceeded to shop for materials for that day. Essentially, they had four half-day workdays. The workmanship was rated a 4.5 out of 10 on a scale of 1 to 10. The finish work was quite disappointing. They made numerous holes and neglected to save the drywall pieces to fit them back in, leaving me with a mess of mismatched drywall. They claimed they didn't typically put it back, but they didn't inform me of this when I agreed to hire them. To make matters worse, when I tried to reach the office staff or another representative they initially mistook me for a salesperson or someone trying to hassle me until I proved my identity as a customer. This was quite frustrating. It seemed like they prioritized their profits over my satisfaction. The phone representative kept talking and refused to listen. I don't believe he knew how to listen effectively. Fortunately, I received a call from the owner one day. He was quite pleasant, but it was evident that he has a personnel issue. I would never hired this company again and would never recommend them to anyone. On top of the shoddy work and unethical behavior, they attempted to double-charge me for my services. I noticed a second charge for a similar amount on my credit card, and initially, they denied it. I insisted they investigate the matter, as I had sent them a screenshot of my credit card. Eventually, they admitted to the mistake reversed the charges. Neither the owner nor the project manager called to apologize. In my opinion, their work, ethics, and overall business practices are extremely sloppy, unfriendly to customers, and unprofessional.

**5/5 Stars -- Exceptional, Honest, and Reliable Service!**…read more I cannot recommend Ian enough! Excellent Service When We Needed It Most!…read more Sparky and Sons came to our rescue just 30 minutes after I called them, the morning after Hurricane Lala came through! I was dealing with an electrical crisis, and they were able to come out right away when so many people were understandably dealing with storm-related problems. As it turned out, the biggest issues were because HECO had not yet restored our full power. Even so, Sparky and Sons provided a safe temporary fix to get us through. They were knowledgeable, thorough, professional, and, best of all, genuinely pleasant to deal with. I will definitely call them again, and I highly recommend Sparky and Sons to anyone looking for great service, without having to wait until Christmas to get it! Thank you, Sparky and Sons, for coming through when we really needed you!

We have a pretty sizable house that needed a LOT of work, and he was able to diagnose and educate us on what regulatory requirements needed to be met, very quickly. Some of this happened to coincide with a power outage, so he even came back after it was over to double check everything! Mahalo for going above and beyond for us!! 10/10 recommend and will never use another electrician company again!

Wish I could give 10 stars!…read more After first great experience with one simple outlet fix, hired Wei to install three ceiling fans. Wei sent us quote online in couple days - and he waited patiently until we bought them to set up appointment. Wei arrived on time with another tech and brought everything he needed. They were clean, respectful, had all tools on a rolling cart, brought own footie covers, masks, vacuum, drop cloths too. Our condo is older so worried about asbestos when drilling. Had all windows/doors open but Wei had a mini vacuum so while tech drilled, Wei held hose to suck up all particles. They wore masks and we did too. We like how he confirmed with us along the way to make sure it was exactly how we wanted it placed, fan, wiring track, new outlet, things we didn't know to ask. Drilling, wiring, covering wires, and overall prep took about an hour each room. Putting together and installing fans took another 45 minutes each, and we had also asked him to install a timer box on our hot water heater - saves money as it will go on when we know we will use, and turn off during evening when we don't. He was able to set timer to turn on and off at two different times. That took a half hour or so. They cleaned up everything nicely, even vacuumed(!), turned electricity back on, wanted to take down all the boxes and trash but we said we would since we have a complicated recycling area. All fan speeds and lights worked as they should and each were perfectly placed in the middle of the room. Very reasonable cost for a full days' work! Cash or check is preferred. Hubby and I are very pleased with their work. Mahalo Wei and fellow tech for a job well done with true professionalism and no drama.
